Inconsistent policies, unhelpful customer service, only care about people spending more money
Inconsistent policies, unhelpful customer service, wasted a lot of my time and money.
I purchased 3 bottles of a health/beauty supplement (expensive hair vitamins) for my daughter who is sick and is losing her hair...I originally only wanted to purchase 1 but the sales associate convinced me to buy 2, and the promo gave me an additional bottle. The supplements caused a rash. I tried to return 2 of the unopened bottles, thinking I would have to keep the opened one. The sales associate had to call someone (which took a long time waiting in store) to ask if she could process the return and they said that they could do it, but only if I had all 3 bottles. So, on my 3rd trip to the store, I brought all three bottles. The sales associate had to call someone again to ask (which again required a long wait in store), and then informed me that she could not give me a refund, only a store gift card. This was not the policy Marionnaud stated online, and I showed her, but she said that there was no way I could get a refund, only a gift card. I understand that many stores don't offer refunds, only exchanges/store credit, but the refund policy on the receipt and the website were different than what she explained to me. Something didn't seem right about the whole situation, and I was frustrated about having spent so much time and energy.
