Checking offers will not impact your credit score*
Mariner Finance, LLC (“Mariner”) and/or WebBank, as applicable, (collectively “Lender,” “we,” or “us,” as applicable) offers personal loans from $1,000 to $25,000, with minimum and maximum amounts dependent on the underwriting of the loan and subject to applicant’s satisfaction of eligibility requirements and approval by Lender, and an applicant’s state of residence for Mariner-originated loans. Terms and conditions apply.
†Online loans between $1,500 and $14,000, originated by WebBank, except online loans in CA and MD originated by Mariner Finance, LLC. Loans greater than $14,000 or less than $1,500 may be originated by Mariner through Mariner’s branch network. Any stated APR represents the cost of credit as an estimated yearly rate, and each applicant’s specific interest rates and fees are determined as permitted under federal or state law (as applicable) based upon loan amount, term, the applicant’s ability to meet specific credit criteria including, but not limited to, credit history at the time of application, income, debt payment obligations, and other factors such as availability of collateral, and state of residency for Mariner-originated loans. Not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rates or larger loan amounts, which may require a first lien on a motor vehicle not more than ten years old titled in the applicant’s name with valid insurance. Any loan by phone and/or online closing process requires a compatible mobile or computer device on which you can access your email and electronic documents. Not all loan types are eligible for loan by phone or online loan closing.
*The process uses a “soft” credit inquiry to determine whether a loan offer is available, which does not impact your credit score. If you continue with the application process online and accept a loan offer, or are referred to a branch and continue your application there, we will pull your credit report and credit score again using a “hard” credit inquiry. This “hard” credit inquiry may impact your credit score.
**Mariner Finance’s 15-Day Satisfaction Guarantee provides that if, for any reason, you inform us that you are dissatisfied with your loan and you repay it in full within 15 days of the date of the loan in the form of cash or certified funds, all finance charges will be waived with no penalties. A cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan will not impact, affect, and/or cancel the terms of any purchase of a vehicle or other item(s) with the proceeds of your loan. Additionally, your return to the dealer or seller of any vehicle or other item(s) purchased with your loan proceeds will not constitute a cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan.

I would highly recommend the Oak Lawn office to anyone that needs a loan. Stacy was just outstanding! Thank you for helping me when I really needed help.

I wanted a one year same as cash. Your associate tried to set me up with a 2 year plan with low payments knowing full well I wouldn't be able to pay off the loan in a year and would have to pay the interest!! Talk about bait and switch!! I told her I wanted 1 year and had already figured out how much my payments
would be. Then she proceeded to tell me my first payment wasn't until October. Once again knowing that would be short in paying the loan off!! I demanded making a payment on the phone then. And your set up plan to pay payments doesn't make it easy either. I can't pay online through my bank. I have to go through your website. I feel you are doing everything you can so that people cannot pay off their loan interest-free within a year. I would not recommend your company to anyone!!

I had a loan with mariner finance a few years ago, and was never late, always paid on time. I just tried to get another loan, and they said I was denied. Two minutes later I receive a text saying they want to help, so I text back that they just said I was denied. They text back saying they could help, when can we talk. So I call back, and they’re like they don’t know why it did that. No apology, no nothing. Even the first time I spoke to the lady, I could tell they had no desire to try and help. If you are considering a loan, you should definitely go to First Franklin first, and avoid Mariner.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with this company has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially during an already difficult time after the passing of my father.
I was told by both a branch representative and the branch manager, Monica, that I could redeem my late father's truck by paying the past due amount, towing fees, and the next payment — totaling $1,279. I was also instructed to bring the death certificate, and that everything would be fine upon doing so.
After following all of these instructions and arriving at the branch with payment and documentation in hand, I was suddenly told that a new policy had gone into effect that same day, and now I would be required to pay off the entire loan balance in full. This was never communicated to me beforehand, and I was left blindsided. I was also told this change came from the Vice President, and that there was nothing anyone could do.
To make matters worse, I’ve asked multiple times to speak with someone higher up in management, and have been denied each time. Customer Relations confirmed that the account was noted to allow redemption if the account was brought current, yet I was sent back and forth between departments without a resolution. I was also told conflicting information about the redemption deadline — with the branch claiming it’s September 28th, while it appears the real date is September 23rd.
This entire experience has been full of contradictions, lack of communication, and a complete disregard for the emotional and financial stress it has caused. I acted in good faith based on what I was told, only to have the rules changed on me at the last minute. This is not how business should be done — especially when dealing with a deceased customer’s account.
I hope the company takes a hard look at how these situations are handled and trains staff to provide consistent, compassionate, and transparent information.

I received a live check from Mariner Finance a few times. Each time I ripped them up and threw them away. I figured it was a scam. This time, I decided to call the number and see if it was real. Well, it was real. I spoke to Kayla and she explained everything to me. I decided to go to their branch and have the check deposited right into my bank account via my debit card. I saw Jessica the branch manager and was able to get a larger loan. They were so very professional and helpful. I was able to use the money to pay off some bills. I would recommend Mariner Financial to anyone who is in a financial crisis and needs help getting their head above water. I was laid off, my unemployment ran out, and I got behind in some bills. I can breath now!!!!!
