Keith arrived and took a good look around the car. The car was impeccable inside and out and it was like he was determined to find something. On the report for 3 of the alloys, none that had been... See more

beware end of lease charges
Ansar arrived to inspect my wife's end of lease Stellantis vehicle.
He was utterly clueless, claimed the vehicle had 3 missed services ( it hadnt ) as he didnt understand an electric vehicle has a different service schedule to a petrol car. Also miscategorised wear and tear as damage and landed us with a big bill we had to fight to overturn. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Be very careful when looking at surecheck it is totally and utterly pointless they dont cover anything utter waste of money!!!
Beware of Manheim
Beware of this company! You cannot avoid them if your lease/PCP company use them to collect at end of lease. BUT BE PREPARED.The inspector was polite enough, spent a full hour minutely checking over vehicle.
Then the talk through! The apparent defects were in my opinion NOT in the BVRLA light van guide PP 27/28 ( 2 front fog lights had some slight ( barely discernible) opaqueness of the outer cover .Not damaged , work perfectly. That will be £194 Sir!
One rear door was a few mm proud it seems when shut - use it all the time never noticed anything , that will be £50 please Sir!
A hairline slight scratch ( called a scuff) about 4" on centre of wheel trim - had to look very hard to find it . This man was on a mission .
He made a vague reference to the BVRLA guidance but I see nothing about the fog lights issue . It states cracks , holes , water ingress. Gradual deterioration is not damage or neglect.
I ve had many lease vehicles, never encountered Manheim - they are a bad advert for Vauxhall/ Peugeot/ Citroen and any other group using them . BUYER BEWARE !
BE VERY AWARE IF THESE TURN UP TO INSPECT YOUR VEHICLE
This is the first time that we have had to deal with this company and I have to stress that they are totally unprofessional and are clearly out to make as much money as possible. Originally turned up in January, but refused to take the van as it had no charging cable; we made it clear that the van was originally supplied without a charging cable and that it was 100% charged, all to no avail.
We then had to keep the vehicle for over a month causing untold logistic issues.
The guy who turned up to inspect (Muhammed Khan) yesterday was attempting to find as many faults as he could; I disputed the findings BIG TIME but he continued to attempt to justify his "findings" without any success. We had the vehicle inspected by a legitimate company adjacent to our factory and they could not believe the alleged 'faults' and were even more astounded by the costs attached! BE VERY AWARE if Mannheim turn-up to inspect your vehicle; they are clearly on some kind of commission
very poor
very poor, fees are ridiculously high, cars not the best, lots of fault cars, we closed our account last year wouldnt buy no more through them. however jordan is fantastic staff member only leaving the 1 star for the place other wise it would be none jordan gained the 1 mark for been a good staff member everythign else about the place not worth no stars
So in January I gave these a good…
So in January I gave these a good review. On the day on inspection I was missing an invoice of a servicing, even though the rest of the evidence of that same servicing was there. I was told they’d add a £200 charge but once I contacted Vauxhall for the evidence and emailed them directly the evidence they would take the £200 off (my mother was there and can vouch that this was said). I contacted my finance company as I received a letter for the £200 charge and explained what was said, they said they’d contact Manheim who said they’d get a statement from the inspector. I received an email today from my finance company stating the inspector has denied saying this and I have no physical evidence to prove it so now £200 down! IF AN INSPECTOR SAYS THIS TO YOU GET IT IN WRITING!
Much better than expected
After reading other reviews, I was a bit anxious about the pending inspection. The inspector, Billy, showed up on time, and was friendly and professional. The inspection took about 30-40 minutes and once he was done, Billy walked me through the findings. While there were two small issues, he agreed that they were not 'abuse' of the car and should be disputed as fair wear and tear. That was it really. A couple of weeks of fretting for no reason. All in all, I had a positive experience with Manheim.
Bad luck if you get these money…
Bad luck if you get these money grabbing clowns to inspect your vehicle when being returned from lease term. Just in it to rinse as much money as possible from honest people that are trying to run their small businesses. The so called inspector must of spent over an hour looking at my van. Absolutely pulled ever tiny blemish up. Two small scrapes in the back door, the size of a 10p. Trying to point out any little mark on a used van of 3 years old. I thought he was joking when he told me it was over a grand. They also don’t like it if you are there watching them. They tell you to leave them to it while they get on. Novuna Vehicle Solutions are in with them, all trying to get as much money as they can from you. I’ve leased 3 vans in the past and been in business for 30 years. I’ve never had such a bad experience from leasing a van. If you’re leasing any vehicle, make sure you wrap it in bubble wrap and keep a couple of grand in savings to pay these crooks. I will now think twice about leasing again
No communication
Contacted ford to let them know I would like to hand my car back as the PCP was expiring. Got an automated response to say Manheim will contact me within 48 hours. After 6 days I received a phone call to say they're ready. Meanwhile I managed to sell my car to sell your car to jack and managed to settle the finance and get some money refunded. Don't bother going to these guys. After reading the reviews it's like they expect your car to be wrapped in bubble wrap.
Fake damage…
Had my vehicle inspected yesterday received a shocking service .The so called vehicle inspector carried out the checks and came up with a made up dent on front bumper.
when i question him on this and asked him to point out this dent he was unable to show me the dent as it was not there .
Even his work colleague was unable to see any dent and agreed with me.
Its clear its all made up to make money and very wrong have pictures and proof there was no dent on vehicle.
I had Manheim inspect my lease car
I had Manheim inspect my lease car ready for it to go back. Dan Chown was welcoming and polite from the start. I must admit being my first lease car, I was feeling a bit anxious as to the hand back process and what to expect. I did ensure the car was clean inside and out, service documentation and keys were ready to hand over. I was very impressed overall, only issue found was about the locking wheel nut key. Dan suggested removing the plastic caps to check after I said I had never seen it, or thought it came with one. We did find there were no locking wheel nuts so that could be removed from the report prior to finalising and emailing me a copy.
I understand Manheim have to find all damage and report it to the lease company otherwise they are liable for it. It is the lease company who ultimately decide if it is chargeable or not. You can disagree with the report and the lease company not Manheim make the decision to charge. For me it was a very easy and pleasant inspection and hand back. Thank you.
What a useless untrustworthy company…
What a useless untrustworthy company collect your car tell you they have transferred ownership which is a load of lies still getting letter from DVLA 2 months later don’t trust this company
David came to inspect my car they were…
David came to inspect my car they were both very friendly and professional
Ran me through the findings on car
After reading the reviews was worried about them coming out but no need to worry at all
Would thoroughly recommend them if I needed too
Many thanks
Re my previous review
Re my previous review - Stellantis has refunded every penny that they charged me stating that the £918 of damage "identified" by Manheim was "levied incorrectly", something I knew from the outset. To me that implies that Stellantis agrees with my view that your inspection process is flawed and not fit for purpose. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
UPDATE - I have since had contact from Manheim and following an amiable discussion hopefully issues have been highlighted that need some tweaking/re-wording on their part to improve the customer experience. Thanks Di.
Excessive charging
Would say that I’m unimpressed with the process, the inspection scoring and the excessive charging model. To suggest that £50 is ok for a car wash is something I’ll be challenging and will refer to the Ombudsman if not reversed. Report not fully explained either. My experience was negative and I’d actively avoid a lender / lease firm that uses Manheim.

DAYLIGHT ROBBERS!!!
I would leave no stars if I could. Awful experience. Do not use Letstalkleasing or Novuna Finance as they use this company for final inspection. They locate the most trivial things on a 3 year old car that is absolutely in showroom condition and then have the cheek to charge £250 plus for the privilege of returning a car (that the inspector told me had already been sold!) in mint condition, with only miniscule wear and tear which is to be expected after 3 years on the road. The people are scammers who must be on comission for finding fault and this is not just sharp practice but I would consider daylight robbery. The vehicle was wet from rain and the inspector was finding 'scratches' which were raindrops, but photographed as tiny marks. I am incensed by my experience and will never use any company which uses NOVUNA or MANHEIM inspection services again. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Unbelievable bad experience with this…
Unbelievable bad experience with this company.
I had four men come to my home on the day of inspection- I am a woman on her own handing back a three year old Range Rover Velar. In my opinion the car was immaculate except for a scratch on the passenger door caused by someone in a car par and some light scratches on the rear bumper.
However after over half a hour inspecting the car with a black & white card (something you never get to see on delivery!) They claimed my front wing had been resprayed - which it hadn’t. I was then advised this probably happened prior to the dealer delivering the car and the finance company would be able to verify this. They then marked damage / dent to the front right wing sighting if he had been able to see one on he left wing it would have been there at manufacture. I then showed him on the left wing an identical mark! The inspector (named Aaron) confirmed this and informed me he would remove the mark from his record and that it wouldn’t appear in his report. When I received a copy he hadn’t removed the finding and this then went to the finance company who charged me £80. I have leased another Velar and this has the same marks on both wings!! I have complained to Manheim and today they have responded with the excuse that there was adverse weather on the day of inspection!!! I have camera footage showing a completely dry day so I am currently waiting their response to this. The inspector has either lied to his area manager or to me - and I know what he said so I think it’s perhaps his area manager who is being mislead. I can only recommend if you’re unfortunate enough to have this company inspect your car, record the comments so you have evidence should it be needed.
Very sharp practice - I can only assume they get extra payments for making note of damages ( valid or otherwise!)

Check with your leasing company who they use to inspect at the end of the lease.
Had I known Nissan Car Leasing Company used Manhelm Inspection Services at the end of the lease, I would never have leased the car in the first place. For 48 months I fulfilled all requirements of the lease and looked after the car as if I owned it. The inspector was unfriendly, failed to show ID, failed to explain the inspection process, the inspection was completely over the top. The car was in excellent condition but she inspected it as if it was brand new off the production line. She seemed hell bent on finding a scuff or any wear or tear. The car had barely done any miles since the last MOT, but she took the most trivial of photos down to windscreen wiper blades. She then told me the total cost at the end without any type of breakdown, so I was unable to cross check what she was claiming was at fault. I have leased previously from Land Rover and that was a completely different/positive experience. DO NOT LEASE from NISSAN if they use MANHELM, who have the customer service skills of a bailiff.

Be careful
Be careful, they are extremely scammers, don't buy a car online, just buy a car from a local dealer, because after buying a car with a broken engine and exhaust, oli licking they will not refund your money. And most of them online beder is fake.don't West your money and your time.
