My recent experience with Manda, previously known as Flatlooker, has been a real headache. Changing their name from Flatlooker to Manda seems like an attempt to hide past problems, but it doesn't fix the issues tenants face.
Renting with them has proven to be quite a headache, especially when trying to end a lease. Their online system, meant to kickstart the notice period seamlessly, is anything but efficient.
To my surprise, Manda takes more than a week to confirm the receipt of your notice – a delay that rivals sending messages via carrier pigeons. In an era where emails should be swift, Manda's response time feels like a trip back in time. It took them ten days to acknowledge my email, a period during which, absurdly, tenants are still expected to pay rent.
The apartments showcased in Manda's 3D tours don't match the reality. Getting maintenance issues fixed feels like waiting for eternity, leaving tenants understandably frustrated.
Manda's support and information provision for tenants are woefully inadequate. Once the lease is signed, you're left to fend for yourself in dealing with problems. Their priority appears to be squeezing every possible penny from renters.
In summary, Manda, formerly Flatlooker, continues to be a source of tenant woes. The name change hasn't rectified their broken online systems, lackluster maintenance, or subpar support. If you're in the market for a rental, steer clear of Manda unless you're prepared for a thoroughly frustrating experience.
I stayed with FlatLooker for around 1year. Everything was okay but at the end they charged 50euro for just 5days for last month. In addition to that my security deposit was 450euro deduction was 50euro only for the last month. I received 275 euro only, remaining 133euro i haven't received that the helpdesk is saying that they have transferred yet they are not giving me transaction proof so that i can ask my bank about the transaction.

We have rent an apartment through Flatlooker. The sales consultants are really helpful and communicative. Marie O. really tried to help us with all of the problems we faced throughout this process even though she didn’t need to. However, their customer service is the WORST. It is literally impossible to reach Victoire about any kind of subject. The building was supposed to have a WiFi and it’s been nearly a month we moved in, there is no Wifi. They provided us aged and useless keys which got broken in the first week and cost us 845 Euros with the locksmith. I am not judging the apartment or the team in general but they have to change their customer service and follow the 21 century’s « Happy Customer, More Sales » motto. If you want to rent an accomodation from here, just know that it will cost you more and you won’t get any solution. Me and my flatmate are very serious to sue them.

Absolutely impossible to communicate with this agency. Whenever there's a problem, it is easier to resolve it directly with the renter. They don't respond to emails, you have to wait for a week to book a phone appointment with them, emails get "lost" in their inboxes and they're constantly on vacation with no replacement. Inefficient, unresponsive, useless.
My experience with Hello Syndic was exceptional. Their website is clear and easy to use, and the team is very responsive and helpful. They stand out for their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. Highly recommended for property management.
They were really dishonest. They did not let me visit the place and in the end they gave me another room which was covered in Mold. They promised me they would fix it in 2 weeks and it has been 5 months. This is directly affecting my health and it is unacceptable. There are also other problems in the flat like a leaking pipe in the bathroom which is not being solved for 1 year now.
I have applied for a apartment lease. After submitting my file I am told my dossier meets the requirements of the landlord and that my dossier has been sent to the landlord for their review (great!). After 1-2 days I understand my dossier actually hasn't been sent to the landlord, differently than notified by email and on my personal area (false information). The reason for this is substantially that the responsible rental advisor from Flatlooker failed to notice that my rental file had no guarantor able to guarantee the full rental costs.
Avoid at all costs. Flatlooker advertises flats that do not correspond to what you end up getting, and are very responsive and friendly until you sign the lease. Beyond that, they are hard to get a hold of and take forever to resolve any issues you have.
1. we rented a flat after seeing a virtual visit and receiving written assurances that the property would be exactly as advertised; this was not the case. The furniture was either missing, or entirely different / in a degraded state. Flatlooker doesn't have physical offices and do not visit the properties they let out. Either they don't know what they are doing, or they are knowingly advertising flats that don't correspond.
2. slow and unempathetic customer service; we had multiple issues with our property; black mould and a water leak, which we were first told was our problem and they couldn't do anything about it, when we pushed back they made it the landlord's problem instead, which meant it took over a month to get someone over to just inspect the issue but not make any repairs.
3. they will contradict themselves despite presented with written evidence of what one of their colleagues told us.
It has been a terrible experience renting from Flatlooker, giving us a chaotic, frustrating, and maddening, and expensive arrival in France. Avoid at all costs.
I found a great apartment very quickly. The communication was very responsive and professional.
Everything was online - which has pros and cons. The application was very fast but I wanted to check the apartment before signing the contract. I had doubts that the photos will not match with the real apartment, but the apartment looks exactly like the virtual visit (photos, videos, 3D photos). They do have a clause in the contract which allows you to retract from the contract if the apartment is not how it appeared in virtual visit.
Have tried to book several apartments with no luck. When trying to sign the lease, I will receive an email saying the apartment is no longer available, to be followed by another email saying that the apartment will be offered to someone else as I have not signed the lease on time? No responses from so called "dedicated advisors". Waiting lists seem to go on forever, regardless of the 24h window to sign the lease, so no idea what happens there. I guess nice apartments, if they exist or not, are kept on site to attract users.

Significant issues were found during état des lieux. Hole in the roof, water damage from rain, black mold on the wall and mattress, plumbing issues in the bathroom. Failing grade for all of these from the Flatlooker person doing the check. Support is nowhere to be found. Gestionnaire is unresponsive. It's been 12 days since I reported the issues and there has been no progress at all. Support chat bot won't redirect me to a real human, I asked my gestionnaire to call me 5 days ago, they still haven't done so.
Update 2nd of March: Gestionnaire asked me to amend my review about a week ago. The issue with the holes in my ceiling hasn't been fixed. It's been a month. I will be taking legal action, as it is apparently my last resort.
Update March 14: I sent a letter recommandé to the address listed in the état des lieux, under advice from my local housing advocacy - the postman couldn't find the address and the letter bounced back. Lawyers, health department, mayor's office are all going to have a field day with this. FU, Flatlooker. Incompetent.

Honestly, Flatlooker turned out to be the only real option to rent an apartment in Paris quickly for the foreigner. All the other real estate agents whom we contacted on the other platforms made the process of finding a place incredibly hard and slow. Absence of visits at Flatlooker and abundance of videos, photos and 360 panoramas is indeed a great advantage over anything else. We did visits around 15 flats before Flatlooker, stood in the live queues of the more than 20 tenancy candidates for one apartment, each of those applications took at least one-two weeks to get any feedback from the agent at all, which is, to say the least, humiliating and exhausting experience. And none of them did select our candidature in the end. And then we applied for the apartment in Flatlooker, and had our contract signed and everything arranged in a matter of just few days. We didn't believe it is possible at all, after all the hell we went through. But it exists and it's great so far!
Great help when we needed assistance in a pinch, to the point and very informative, especially navigating the Paris rentals jungle.
I highly recommend Flatlooker, I was able to prepare my move to France whilst still being abroad, the process of moving in went without a hitch, the team are on hand to help. An all around game changer for renting easily.
