I’m writing this review with genuine disappointment, as my experience with Manchester Money has deteriorated dramatically from my initial encounter to my recent renewal attempt.

Five years ago, Manchester Money handled my first mortgage application superbly. The service was professional, efficient, and stress-free, which is why I had no hesitation in returning to them when I received their email offering support for my upcoming renewal.

Unfortunately, the company I encountered this time bore little resemblance to the one I’d worked with previously.

From the outset, communication was problematic. The employee I spoke with displayed awkward mannerisms and poor communication skills that made what should have been a straightforward conversation unnecessarily difficult. More concerning was learning that Manchester Money apparently no longer has access to the same range of mortgage products and competitive deals they once offered. They seem to have become a shadow of their former selves in terms of market access.

What truly crossed the line, however, was the response when I politely explained I would pursue my mortgage renewal independently. Rather than accepting this professionally, the employee became confrontational and argumentative. This inappropriate, almost bullying approach was completely unacceptable and has permanently damaged my view of the company.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Manchester Money to proceed with caution. The excellent service they may have provided in the past appears to have been replaced with limited product access and unprofessional client relations. There are plenty of mortgage brokers who will treat you with respect throughout the process - I’d recommend finding one of those instead.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Brandon understood the challenges with buying property in the UK if you are not a resident yet and had some great advice. He was also able to secure a very good offer for us. He was also very good at keeping me informed about where they were in the process--something I really appreciated not knowing the UK property market that well.
