Had an evening with Giz yesterday, Giz taught our family of six adults how to cook a traditional biryani and a huge amount of sides. Everything was super delicious, Giz was so friendly and such a great teacher. As soon as Giz entered the house you could feel everyone relax, really great experience!

We had an amazing experience with Giz. She taught us very clearly and helpfully how to cook a lovely meal.
The spice mixes she brought were delicious, and she was a lovely teacher!
Would definitely recommend her to everyone!

Shared an evening with Giz from Mama Dor’s Kitchen, which was great fun! We all did a bit, and I was surprised to find how easy food equal or better to restaurants or takeaways is to do at home. No contest in future, the little bit of effort is worth it. Thank you Giz!

Mama Dor’s Kitchen absolutely brilliant! Better than anything you can buy in shops or at take away. We had gujerati chicken masala, roasted cauliflower, onion bahjis, green chutney, sag aloo, naan and basmati rice. Giz taught us how to cook it all with her amazing spice blends and it was honestly so much easier than I thought.

We also had some complex dietary requirements and Giz worked around these with ease. Gluten free, onion free, dairy free. Fab food, fab company and fab evening !

We wanted to organise a family event for my Mum's 80th and as we all love cooking - and eating! - thought this would be a fun idea. Cooking with Giz was such an excellent experience. She organised our noisy rabble effortlessly, we learnt all sorts of tips and tricks and the food was delicious! A perfect evening for 3 generations of the family. Thank you.

This is the second time I’ve cooked with Giz, the first time being at our home, where she guided us through a number of courses. She was at ours for a couple of hours and we had a lovely evening meal to enjoy.
Most recently 16 ‘locals’ had great fun under the guidance of Giz. We made an array of delicious dishes and sat to enjoy it at the end. Highly recommend booking Giz either at home or one of her cooking courses!

First time going. Learnt how to make a decent biryani and accompaniments with stress. Met some great people including Giz, our host and expert! Not only did we cook and eat some great tasting food, a good opportunity to mingle if you’re single! I’m not, by the way!

Such a great evening learning to cook traditional Biryiani with lots of sides, starters chutneys and Burfee - Indian fudge. Giz made the evening enjoyable and fun. I was so full at the end and it was lovely to meet others. I bought the spice mixes and will definitely be recreating for my family with all the recipes provided. Thanks so much!

We had so much fun doing a cooking lesson with Giz! We learnt a lot and the food was amazing :) She made everything so easy, with lots of simple practical tips - we will definitely be using her spice blends and trying the recipes on our own from now on. Would really recommend getting a lesson!

Curry club

I went to one of the curry club nights and learnt how to make samosas and biriyani. It was a great fun night, and the recipes really simple. I love samosas especially, and always thought them out of my capabilities, however, with guidance and top tips, I will definitely be giving them a go at home now.

So simple!

The spice blends that I’ve tried so far have been amazing. They’re presented beautifully in glass jars and smell incredible! They come with recipe cards to help you create yummy food, simply.

Everything has tasted great and been enjoyed by all the family!

Fantastic spice mixes to create amazing curry dishes! All my girls have cleared their plates with all of the meals we have tried so far- they are delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Mama Dor’s spices are amazing.No more ready made jars of sauce which were my previous way of tackling Indian cookery! We recently had a cooking lesson with Giz and wow, it really opened our eyes to cooking different dishes, the menu was fantastic and we had no idea how easy it was to make stunning onion bhaji's that are far better than anything you get at a restaurant!

The recipe content on the website is superb and combined with the spice blends I’ve made a number of delicious sand authentic dishes. I cook a lot of Indian and Thai curries and generally make my own pastes and spice blends, however since coming across Mama Doors my Indian dishes have improved - and become so much quicker and easy! As you’ve probably gathered I’m a big fan! 😊
