As a Business owner, with some complicated existing mortage (Ex-Wife) arrangements in place, I reached out to Mallard Mortgages for some specialist advice. From the 1st call with Laura she understood the lending obstacles for a new purchase and how to achieve the best outcome. Laura provided expert advice, delivered on her promises, even getting me a much better rate than I thought possible.

We’ve now used Laura twice – first for our initial mortgage as first-time buyers, and again recently for our remortgage – and we genuinely couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is incredibly knowledgeable and really knows her stuff, which made the whole process feel so much less daunting.

What sets Laura apart is how reliable and dedicated she is. She always got back to us exactly when she said she would, worked around our schedule, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. As first-time buyers, we had a lot of questions and uncertainties, but Laura gave us brilliant advice and guided us through every step with patience and clarity.

I struggled to get a mortgage for 2 years due to working via my Ltd company, the previous mortgage brokers could not get me a DIP with a 5% deposit through my situation. I called Troy and 30 minutes after our initial call, he got me a DIP within 30 minutes, with just a contractual letter & all the relevant documents required. Could not thank Troy enough for the efforts he gave myself and partner through out the process, If you are self employed through a Ltd company or maybey even CIS. My process started at the start of Febuary, now, finally moving in to our new home on the 28th of March, pretty quick considering. I would 100% recommend Troy, as I have so far!

Wow what a great company. I discovered mallard mortgages after having a hell of a time with my old mortgage advisor who made me think I could not get a mortgage and took 2 months to even give me that poor service. I spoke to Troy and straight away he made me feel so much better about my scenario. He was reassuring and completed my new mortgage package in a matter of a few weeks from start to finish, not to mention the thousands he saved me. Amazing service and lovely to deal with. Highly recommend

I have never had such a bad experience with any company before, yet alone a mortgage broker. Where do I start? I contacted him a year before applying for a mortgage to prepare in advance for the mortgage application, however, he failed to prepare me for the endless and needless questions and unnecessary requests for documentation. The owner fancied himself as Columbo, and is suspicious of everything and everyone. His attention to detail was poor, as he produced the mortgage in principle letter with the wrong year on it. If I complained about the excessive requests for information, not only about myself, but my friend and our charity, he threatened to walk out on me. I contacted the mortgage provider and they informed me that they had not asked for half of the information he had requested. In the end he threw a strop, stating he is the owner of the company and it is his reputation at stake. Even though I had paid all the fees, supplied all the necessary documentation and more, he walked out on me. His conduct was utterly unprofessional! I could not apply for another mortgage straight away, as he had lowered my credit rating with the first mortgage application. This resulted in me paying thousands of pounds in rent and left feeling traumatised by the experience. I eventually used Haysto mortgage broker services and they were wonderful. I only had to supply 3 month's of bank statements, wage slips and proof of where my deposit had come from. I was offered a mortgage within a week and completed my purchase in 2 months. Finding the right broker is key, so please do not waste your time with these amateurs. Do not be fooled by their new flashy website.

Laura was amazing and I couldn't recommend her enough.

I was going back and forth for months on different houses, different mortgage amounts and different mortgage types and she helped the whole way along and also helped towards the end with chasing the solicitor etc.

Communication was great, when it comes to remortgaging or moving house again I will 100% go back to Laura.

Laura was excellent.

She went above and beyond with her advice and took the stress away from porting our current mortgage and securing another for our new build house.

Everyone at Mallard Mortgages are friendly and can't do enough to help with the process.

I need to write this review because of the fake person he is. Ben at mallard mortgages is the most miserable person I’ve ever spoke to. Never again. He has fake reviews from friends and family on Facebook so it’s up to you if you want to deal with this pathetic man.
