Stockport - very unfriendly!

Stockport branch......wine order went through fine, no problems. Went to pick up from Stockport (Davenport) branch - most unwelcoming, sourfaced, curt female member of staff I have met in a long time. For that reason alone I won't go back. Gave the 3 stars for ordering process only. Costs nothing to be courteous, Majestic Wines!

What is a no quibble guarantee

I am a recovering alcoholic and I received a gift card from a friend in error. Majestic have no quibble guarantee so I approached them explaining my plight. However, rather than a refund they suggested I purchase their zero alcohol product or pass the card to someone else. Well as many will understand I have to avoid anything that reminds me of alcohol for a long time and my current friends are not drinkers but what do they care. Majestic have banked their profit and they are not interested. A tip for the wise, if you want to drink, supermarkets offer far better value and service.

Website is a waste of time

Website is a waste of time. Keeps offering bottles that are unavailable. When I look at my order history all I get is the amount spent. Guess that's all that matters to them. Complete garbage.

Superfast service

Ordered a mixed case of red wines just after 13.00 with standard delivery. Within 90 minutes it was delivered. That's a seriously good standard service.

We entered the Crawley branch - good store

We entered the Crawley branch of Majestic wines, where we were greeted with a friendly and very helpful and knowledgable man named Russell. His service was impeccable ,which is why we are happy to use the shop on a regular basis.

Staggeringly useless.

Staggeringly useless website and email contact. Just spent an hour ordering two lots of six for friends. Payment difficult (plenty of funds in the account) but only after repeated calls did the helpline think - but did not know - that the order had failed. When asked about no substitutions so orders would not be delivered, I was told there is no system for them to tell me so. Called twice moe on related issues and they suggested calling their shops direct as tgier websites don't work vey well. Clearly underinvested in tech and customer services very ill-informed.

Don’t touch them

How strange that this company is not on Trust Pilot! I wonder if it’s because they are so astonishingly useless!! Perhaps. My own story is that my partner and I took out TWO separate ‘Lock it in’ deals with the Chiswick, London, branch. Long story short - the wine never arrived (despite two emails from them stating the precise date and delivery address). As he had taken the day off work to receive this my partner called to see where it was as evening approached. No record of it. No apology. We both cancelled our subscription. I emailed the (ahem) ‘Happiness Team’ twice. No reply either time despite the 48 hour commitment to do so. To be honest this is a cowboy outfit run by people who have no clue. The business model is: customer orders wine. Majestic delivers it. Not rocket science. Don’t touch them with a barge pole. The latest round of funding is money down the drain I fear.
