Not a great product
Not a great product. The card / box is ok but doesn’t stand as a card. It is purely to house the cake. A great idea but not executed well. I paid for an extra padded envelope and thought this would protect the cake, unfortunately the cake was battered about. The cake was also not the best quality. We’ve had better quality cake from the coop. In our opinion it’s a great idea but extremely expensive for the quality of the cake. I paid nearly £17. Won’t be ordering again. UPDATE: can I just say I would recommend Mailbakes now as their customer service has been excellent in dealing with my complaint. Well done Mailbakes.

A few days later Mailbakes contacted me about a failed delivery and asked if I had the correct address. I explained it was ‘technically’ my fault but they were very nice and the cake/card were delivered the next day at no extra cost. It was much appreciated by myself and the recipient

Nicely packed and presented
Nicely packed and presented. But. Neither myself or my sister found the cake to be that good. It was soft and fresh, but had a synthetic taste. We are both keen bakers but thought we would have this as a treat to take on a trip. We didn’t eat it past the first bite. I’m unsure of the date it arrived but I had ordered two and tried the first one as soon as it got here, I wasn’t too keen but thought I’d give it a go with the second pack in the order and it was just the same.
