19 nights of regret
We stayed 19nights in one of the Manchester properties for Christmas holidays. Nice decent house, exactly like the pictures. With a grocery store just opposite and a post office down the road.
However, I gave them 2 stars because whoever is managing the phone lines is very terrible person.
One a certain day, the heater in the house completely stopped working, I sent several messages calling for help as I didn’t know what to do and my 3 children were freezing as this was peak winter and it was snowing that period. For 7whole days, no response to my messages nor phone calls. We couldn’t bathe as the house had no hot water. Even when he eventually responded a week later, he showed no interest in what happened or asked if it was okay now. We could have checked out if I had enough money to book another place for the remainder of our stay.
The house had no external bins for waste disposal, i messaged to ask where I could find them but host ignored that message for the entire 19 days we stayed there. The back of the house was in deep mess you won’t find where to walk on when it rains.
Again, prior to booking, I realized the wall frames were too nasty and I told them I have kids, they agreed they would remove the wall frames before we check in. Reminded them a night before and owners response was that they cannot remove the frames as they’re glued to the wall which by the way is a huge lie, went ahead to say that his staff didn’t use their brain before promising me that it will be removed. Such a condescending human.
Also, you’d need to contact him every 2days to recharge both gas and electricity as they never buy enough for the stay. Will never again book with them. They’re unprofessional
