Upon check-in, the owner of house Madeira Inn Refúgio de Gaula took a 150 euro deposit in cash, which he promised to return upon check-out. On the day of departure, the owner did not arrive at the agreed time, citing an accident on the road, saying that 150 euros would be returned to the card.
A week later, the money had not been returned, and the owner sent photographs showing an unmade bed, an uneven rug in the bathroom and dishes in the sink. She said that she couldn’t return the house like that, so she wouldn’t return the 150 deposit.
