Completely agree with the last two reviews. I am still mopping up from the fallout of using this company for 2022-2023 tax year for a very basic return. Poor service, abrupt communication. For the first time in my life I was charged interest on a payment I didn't know I had to make and wasn't included in their calculation. I was not sent a copy of my adjusted calculation and am now trying to work out why Class 2 contributions were removed - apparently it's because they didn't register me as self employed properly.

I am now using an independent accountant who has gone above and beyond and have had no issues and she's always happy to call and talk things through with me.

I Used this company for a couple of years for my accounts as a sole trader.
Forever chasing them to get things done and also they made a costly mistakes with the xero package they set me up on.
Having moved to a new accounts I have realise how non-productive and poor the services they provided was over all .

Always like to give local companies my business and selected this company due to the positive reviews on here, however my experience was not very positive and have since noticed the good reviews here are 4 to 5 years old.
Sent them all the relevant information but had to chase them after 4 weeks as I had not heard back from them, no apology or reason given just a couple of further questions, it seems if I had not chased I would never have heard from them.
Also experienced some very basic admin errors with the information I supplied

Received a reply to my review I posted on the companies website basically stating they felt the one star was not justified and would I remove it.

I therefore sent them via email a very detailed account of what happened which included all the errors I found which included (not being able to add up 15 lines of numbers correctly plus mistakenly reading and using a different value from what was sent to them)
Asking for breakdown of figures but not received
The last issue was the payment terms I agreed to was 7 days which was not an issue however when they sent the invoice it was dated 3 days previous giving only 4 days to pay, just really unprofessional, if you want clients to pay in 7 days at least give them the 7 days they quote.
All very basic mistakes you really do not expect from an accountancy company.
Anyway my email directly to them was 8 weeks ago and have had no reply not even an acknowledgement.
I can only presume on investigation they found and agreed with all the same issues I raised however if they cared about clients you would have thought a simple apology would have been sent.

5 star service. Easy, quick and efficient. I'm using them for my self-assessment tax returns are they've been brilliant.

Responsive efficient friendly local (for me) team with access to authoritative accountancy advice to help with things that are too complicated or too onerous to take on oneself. And at a fair price. Highly recommended.

They are very business orientated, and do not waste time with long winded explanations, but speak in a format that is clear and precise to ordinary business groups.
They are also very courteous in their approach to business meetings.
