One of the worst returns experiences…

One of the worst returns experiences I’ve ever had. Took well over a month of repeated chasing to get my money back. Two stars as clothing is typically of decent quality but unless you are confident with the sizing I can’t recommend ordering. A shame as quick and efficient returns are not difficult to get right, but it made for a really dreadful customer experience.

They also tried to fob me off with a gift card rather than a full refund - don’t accept this, in the UK under the Consumer Contracts Regations 2013 you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days from the day after the original purchase is delivered, regardless of what the company policy states.

Quality of the product for the price is…

Quality of the product for the price is exceptional and well fitting, I have purchased several items. As with many prior reviews exchanging the product can be a little troublesome but once you know your sizing, as the clothing can be oversized, you should be okay. For a the product and price alone I would recommend 5 stars

Awful awful awful customer service and product quality.

Ordered a bog standard grey tshirt with ‘machine’ printed on the front. Quality of the tshirt was terrible. Print quality was terrible. It was evidently a very cheap tshirt that they’d just printed their brand onto.

So I returned the item. Return showed as received at the warehouse within 2 days, after about 5 days I reached out to ask if they intended on processing my refund. They obviously didn’t like this as they then took the entire 14 days to process (actually took 17 days and I had to chase them to sort it, think they got their panties in a bunch that someone wanted their money back for a return, the audacity of wanting my money back, awful of me!)

I’ve since complained about the quality on their Instagram and they decided to delete my comment and block me… how is that good business practice? People who have genuinely tried your items, and you just try to make their opinions disappear.

Then they sit on trust pilot and lie about peoples reviews not being genuine, as if anyone really wants to spend their free time writing fake reviews about some below average gym brand on the sea of gym brands?

They have no tact, clueless as to how to approach customer service and provide below average products for an overpriced point.

Shop literally anywhere else!

Also I can prove that I purchased their products via email order/receipt and email chain having to chase a refund, so if they try their usual ‘oh no this is a fake sabotage review’… it’s not. Do not shop with these people, please, save your money, spend elsewhere.

The T-shirt referenced is one of our best-selling core products and is not a blank garment with branding added post-production. It is custom manufactured exclusively for Machine Fitness, using a bespoke fabric blend, our custom pattern, garment-dyed and washed for finish and durability. The branding is applied using high-quality silicone detailing, not standard screen printing as you suggest.

While we appreciate that personal preference plays a role in how a garment feels or fits, the product itself is not a low-quality or generic item.

Regarding your return, the refund was processed in line with our stated returns policy and timeframes, which can extend during busy periods. We understand waiting can be frustrating, but your refund was completed correctly.

With respect to social media moderation, comments are removed in line with our moderation policy. Constructive feedback is always welcome via our customer service channels.

We do not dismiss negative reviews as “fake” by default. Where reviews cannot be immediately matched to an order, Trustpilot requires us to request verification, which is standard platform procedure. We have also had history of being targeted with fake reviews, which is a fact and has been raised with trust pilot.

We take product quality and customer feedback seriously and continually refine our products based on customer input. Many customers continue to repurchase this item, but we understand it did not meet your personal expectations.

Historic purchaser

I've used machine fitness for years and never had an issue with quality or price. Brilliant contender for the larger companies though still competitive pricing and good quality gear. I remember years ago going to bodypower and seeing the machine fitness stand being the best there with DJ Joel Corey before he blew up. Hope these guys are around for years to come

Poor quality and customer service

Order was of poor quality and didn't fit well. Sent back order, which wasn't refunded but they gave me a gift voucher to use. Nothing good came up in stock, so decided to use it recently on one of their generic Machine shirts but didn't work (Maybe it expired? There was no date on the gift card so who could be sure). All round poor experience and don't recommend - try literally any other gym brand and you'll have a better time.

I made an order of 4 shorts by the size…

I made an order of 4 shorts by the size M, when the package arrived at my house in Thailand i noticed that all 4 shorts were send in Size S. I contacted customer service and the suggested to try them on because the difference in size is only 1 cm. Then why you offer 4 different sizes if you decide for your customer to send a smaller size then ordered. It’s just a suggestion. But for me no more orders.
Update and under the copy and paste from the answer of the customer service.
I do not make a false or untrue review, instead of an apologies the suggestion come to try them on because the difference in size S and size M is only 1 cm. I’ve already got shorts from Machine Fitness a while ago with size M that’s why I order size M and not size S. Is it so difficult to read an A4 paper with clear size instructions, the only task and still incorrect.

Thanks for reaching out, we recommend trying them as they are quite a generous fit and there is not much between the medium and the small in size difference, only 1 cm in the waist width and they have a very stretchy waistband. Our staff unfortunately are human and mistakes can happen, this is very rare and we have had over 100k orders with fantastic accuracy from our picking team. Our member of staff sent 6 emails to you replying within minutes of you contacting us and replying, and we have given you the opportunity to return them and exchange them if required and also advised to try them in the case that they may fit. Respectfully and always remaining in an appropriate manner unlike the way you have spoken to our staff during the conversation. These are an oversized short and the team member who replied to you comfortably fits in two sizes and they were simply trying to help resolve the situation, you could of just returned them and we can swap them. But you choose not too and go out of your way to leave a review on a platform we do not use.

Thanks for your review, but this is not was what said, please do not leave incorrect and false accusations on reviews. Our customer service team apologised for the error and sent you a link to instructions on how to return it in order so we can exchange them for you. Alternatively they suggested you may want to try them on to see how the fit as they may be suitable despite being the wrong size. It was just a suggestion and either option was available to you and we would have happily sent the correct size as already explained.

Customer was responded to within 24 working hours and we also followed up the next day with no reply from the customer on both occasions. As a small business it is extremely disappointing for us that the customer has gone out of their way to leave a negative review but since their initial email was sent on Friday afternoon, we have already replied within one working day to address the concern and provide instructions for returning the incorrect item. We are proud to share that in 2024, we have significantly improved our customer service and maintained this level.

The best gym gear I’ve ever had

Honestly by far the best gym gear I’ve ever used, the quality is just next level for the price you pay. I usually go for top brands, Nike, gym Sharm etc but saw this advertised and thought I’d give it a go.

It washes really well, material like brand new every time I wear it and couldn’t ask for better gym gear. I’ve ordered a couple of times now and delivery is really quick, nice packaging and helpful staff on hand to support with size exchanges.

Overall amazing experience with top products!

Comfiest gym clothing I’ve ever bought!

The Pursuit V2 joggers, Split Hem T-shirt and Mauve Throwover are the comfiest items of ‘fitness’ clothing I’ve bought over the past 15 years of training! Very soft and breathable, I can’t see me wearing another brand anytime soon! Would highly recommend! 👏🏻

Machine Fitness are for me in the top 3…

Machine Fitness are for me in the top 3 sports clothing brands. I have used them for many years and the tech fabric t-shirts are my go to for my hydrox and strength sessions. I noticed some negative reviews on returns, personally i have had no issues with returns and they are always dealt with quickly by them. I would recommend trying them out if you are on the fence.

Don’t order items from here if you are…

Don’t order items from here if you are unsure on sizing and are planning to send part of the order back for a refund.
I sent 2 tee shirts back which were received by them on the 11th October. After not receiving a confirmation email, I got in touch with them to find out that they were upscaling the warehouse and the refund could not be completed until the week commencing the 30th. Fair enough.
Sent another email to them on the 2nd Nov asking them to look into the refund, no reply. Sent a further email on the 7th, no reply. It is now the 9th Nov.
Thankfully it’s only 2 tee shirts and not more money lost. Just be very careful buying from them and think twice as sizing also seems to be very small and the quality of the items are from a very thin material.
@machinefitness - If I could t get my money back or even a reply from you that would be great.

*Update*

Very coincidentally* I had an email back yesterday and the money has been refunded along with numerous emails pleading that I remove or increase the review as they coincidentally* had a “power outage of 5 days with completely no access to emails”. I’m very certain emails are no longer fixed to 1 machine, and the majority of company workers/business owners will have them on a phone, tablet, another laptop etc.. sorry, I digress.
I have also noticed a review from the 1st November which would have been impossible for someone to receive any items from them “ As explained our office / warehouse was not open” for the whole month of October. Coincidentally* the review was wrote by Mark which is actually the owners name. Weird huh.

As I’ve explained, I know this is very much a Karen review but they cut me deep by clearly lying and accusing me of “damaging a small business” and assuring me “It is most certainly not bad customer service”.

As previously stated, make sure you know what size you are, ordered 1 size larger and you should be fine, otherwise you’ll have to leave a bad review to get your money back.

I Received poor customer service

UPDATE: Lloyd from Machine fitness has been in touch and apologised about the poor service, together with a generous offer of goodwill and has assured me that they have learnt from this and will be better in the future. Because of this I have changed the rating from 1 to 3, I really hope that the customer service has been improved and maybe in time I will order again as the clothing is very good.

Been buying from Machine Fitness for many years and the clothing is good quality, unfortunately on my last order I received the wrong size for one of the products. After contact was made it was eventually agreed that I would be refunded for the standard cost of sending the product back. 2 weeks after sending back I emailed to ask for an update, no response, after a couple more emails they then asked me to provide proof of delivery, again it took a few emails before response. I did then receive the correct item and was informed the postage cost would be refunded, another 10 days later, still no refund, so again I emailed, no response after 2 further emails with no response, I opened a Paypal dispute, I then received an email from Machine Fit to say they could not refund due to the dispute being opened. I contacted Paypal who advised not to close and moved it to a claim, the refund is now in process. Ref #48187

I trust you are doing well. We wanted to touch base regarding the recent PayPal dispute. It's important to clarify that PayPal's response may not have accurately represented the situation. In hindsight, it would have been more efficient for both parties if the case had been closed earlier. PayPal does impose a £12 charge on us in addition to the refund, which they profit from when claims are open. Naturally, this is disheartening for us, but we complied with the PayPal process because we respect your preference.

I noticed your Trustpilot review, and I must express our disappointment. We've experienced delays in our service due to a comprehensive overhaul of our warehouse and systems, which did cause issues during the two weeks you mentioned regarding IT and distribution. I want to assure you that this work is now complete, and we don't anticipate similar issues moving forward.

It's worth noting that we no longer actively use Trustpilot, and this review came as a surprise after six months of inactivity on our part on that review platform. It's disheartening for us that you felt compelled to write this review. We sincerely hope you might consider your 12-year history of ordering from us and consider removing your Trustpilot review as a goodwill gesture. Been looking for new gym tops for ages

Been looking for new gym tops for ages, liked the look of the fit & designs from this company so gave it a go. Discounted prices were brilliant & the quality & fit were just what I was looking for, better quality than some of the high end brands I use. Already looking to add some more now. Wore the strike today & for the 2 hr session it kept its shape, felt comfy & looked great

Absolutely awful at refunds been nearly a month countless emails and waiting and waiting will have to take it up with bank still no refund for over £100 of items returned

Don’t buy unless you plan on not returning anything

Good customer service

I unfortunately had to return my shirts as they did not fit correctly however the quality of the shirts seemed fine. After some initial issues with the refund, Lloyd from the customer service team worked extremely hard to rectify the problem and ensure my overall experience with the company was a good one. I appreciate how the issue was dealt with and would recommend them in the future.
