My helmet box arrived damaged. The company ignored my request for a return and refund. Instead, they sent another helmet. I don’t appreciate them ignoring my request. The helmet does not fit even though I measured my head before ordering.

Expensive, but they stand behind their products
I've bought 6 helmets, 8 lights, and a bunch of accessories from Lumos, and they've always stood behind their product.
Any time I've had an issue, I've sent a video in, and they've replaced the product, no questions asked. No "sounds like user error" or "have you tried..." - they just fix the problem.
Last week I reported an issue at 10pm and woke up to a shipping notification from 12:50am the next day, that they had already shipped a replacement.

Talk about customer service!! I was looking for a possible repair for the module on an e-helmet. They responded within a day, asked for some trouble shooting info and confirmed the failure. Replaced the helmet! Wow. I have bought three of their various helmets since their Kickstarter. They have all been what I expected. Lots of folks realize what a safety improvement they are.....and they are being copied.

Lumos products have been great, and on the two times I have needed to get customer service assistance, both times they've been prompt, easy to work with and incredibly helpful.
Put off by customer service
Giving two stars because I think the idea and the design of the helmet is good, however my helmet arrived with inner padding missing and it had obviously already been opened before it reached me. It’s now been over two weeks since I requested a return and I’m finding the customer service to be extremely slow and quite unhelpful.

I am happy to update my earlier review. The customer service team as per my below really lets this product down. When the product works it is excellent, but when it doesnt for weeks and it is impossible to contact customer services you are left with a product with an issue you cant resolve which is very expensive.
That said, they have now been in contact and they have updated me and as of today the issue is resolved. It does concern me how long they were uncontactable in any way, then I leave reviews on various platforms and I hear within a few days. Excellent product, customer service needs ALOT of work.

I want to help you before you fall into the position I have. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to with this one.
I have spent hundreds of pounds with this company after I suffered a seizure in 2025 which left me without a car or licence. So I got a bike and purchased the ebike ultra helmet, 4 fireflys, the 4 way firefly charger, rear mount and remote. Within a week of getting fireflys a mandatory firmware update stopped me being able to access any of the devices on the app. When it fails in the app, it gives you a resource but this is for the helmet only, NOT the lights. Without being able to complete the mandatory firmware update, it leaves you locked out of the devices in the app. So you cant change position of the lights, light sequences. Any of it. You are left with a light that turns on and off. Thats it without the app. I have emailed support 3 times as well as sending instagram and facebook messages. You get absolutely no reply.Now I find myself 200-300 pounds down and it is literally impossible to get hold of customer service no matter how you think to try and get hold of them.
Hate to say it folks. A company we have all seen before. Throw a ton of money at a load of marketing with a product that doesnt actually work properly. They make the cash and the product doesnt work as advertised as well as having a non existent customer service team. We've all seen plenty of these companies before - Dont get caught out by them and end up hundreds of pounds down the drain.
