Hi Paul, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We deeply value feedback from all our customers and are truly sorry to hear about the issue you encountered.
Based on your description, the plastic odor and discomfort you experienced are certainly not what we want for our customers. Please understand that the heating element inside the hookah is made of metal components, and its maximum heating temperature can reach 400–600°C. To ensure proper insulation, the heating part is designed with three layers of heat insulation, including an imported heat-resistant silicone layer. During the first few uses, the silicone may emit a slight smell due to heat conduction. This is a normal reaction of the raw material under high temperatures and is similar to the plastic smell you might notice when using a new kettle for the first time. Over time, as the device is used more frequently, this smell will gradually weaken and eventually disappear.
To reduce and eliminate the smell, we suggest the following steps:
1、Heat the device a few times: Before regular use, you can place tobacco inside and allow it to burn fully a few times. This will help the heating element undergo several cycles of high-temperature operation.
2、Clean thoroughly: After each use, clean the device thoroughly, especially the heating part and the interior, to prevent any residual smell.
3、Use in a ventilated area: During the initial uses, operate the device in a well-ventilated space to allow the smell to dissipate more quickly.
Please rest assured that this smell will diminish after a few uses. If you have any further questions or concerns during use, feel free to contact us at any time. We are here to assist you. Best regards, Mengli
