His unique style is informed by his use of geometric shapes, which he manipulates to capitalize on the tactile nature of his materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and wood. A student of kinetic design under the tutelage of Jesus Rafael Soto, lugufelo draws inspiration from other renowned artists such as Naum Gabo, Pablo Picasso, and Victor Vasarely.
