What a disgrace of a company

What a disgrace of a company! Sold a car to a customer who used our transport company for delivery. The car had chips missing out of the front of the paintwork, which had been polished over to make them less visible by photo. Owner Oli Window, once confronted by the customer, swore blind the damage wasn’t there and that it was our delivery company for sure. It was only through a member of our staff researching pictures on their Facebook page that the photos are there with the damage already on! Tried ruining our business’ reputation and losing an innocent member of staff his career! Considering owner Oli was willing to ruin our reputation for something that was a lie, to save himself costs, hopefully this review will do the same to your fraud of a company!

Bought a car that broke down on the way home

I purchased a Subaru STI PPP (2005) from Lowe Classics on 23rd August 2022 which overheated on the way home. I was left stranded and had to call the RAC for emergency breakdown assistance.

I had to take the vehicle to a local mechanic to get an independent inspection done which highlighted problems with radiator fan and upper radiator hose. They also let me know there was a corrosion problem, the full extent of which was not mentioned by the salesman at Lowe Classics. Furthermore, it was recommended that I do not continue to use the vehicle.

3rd September - As per consumer rights, I sent a formal letter of rejection to Lowe Classics which I had to continue chasing. Their responses were vague and at not point did they not directly accept my rejection of the vehicle nor did they seem to accept any responsibility.

22nd September - After chasing and haggling, the Subaru was returned to Lowe Classics at my expense. As per consumer rights I notified Lowe Classics I was entitled to a refund within 14 days of the vehicles return. I was informed that their intent was to sell the vehicle and refund me once it had been sold.

27th September - A new owner had agreed to buy the Subaru from Lowe Classics, and that they would pick it up on the 2nd October. Additionally, I was told that the new buyer had asked why I decided to sell the Subaru so soon and that the salesman had informed them that I had changed my mind (which is of course, totally untrue).

2nd October - The vehicle was paid for and picked up by the new owner. I was told that the vehicle had been fixed by Lowe Classics and that they had done a full leak test.

5th October - After chasing and hounding Lowe Classics for the refund, I was finally paid.
