Great quality guitar with an accurate description of the condition. I bought a 2020 Taylor AD17 at a reasonable price, no taxes, no shipping from California to West Virginia. The thing smelled brand new, and thankfully she doesn’t have the horrendous Taylor Es2 pickup, I wouldn’t have bought it if it did. Anyway, timely response to a question via email, instrument was packed well, string tension loosened and box labeled with fragile stickers. I was impressed, just read the terms and conditions on returns because you’ll pay both shipping fees and a restocking charge if you decide you don’t want it. If the product is damaged then you’d file a damage claim with UPS. These conditions are reasonable in my mind. If you find something you want, then buy it and enjoy your new drug.

I ordered a guitar to Finland, Gibson LP Custom. At the beginning everything went great, nice and fast customer service, we made a deal. Guitar arrived, no problem there… but, guitar was supposed to be 9lbs (info from seller, webpages, info on ebay) but in fact it was 9,48lbs. For me that is significant difference, was looking excactly for a guitar no more than 9lbs. This was also discussed with the seller.

The pics of the guitar were taken in some kind ultra light, and the colour was really different in real life, much darker. That was not a big problem for me, it’s nice colour, but still the phothos were totally missleading.

Sent email to seller asking what is his opinion, no ansver.

Would not buy another guitar online from this seller. Please be avare!

I've been searching for a guitar with the same dimensions as my Gs mini koa, but with a bigger sound and more sustain. I heard good things about the rare walnut mini. Then I saw this Martin Special at Lovies marked 'minty' at an amazing price. When I realized it was solid walnut back and sides, but with a solid Sitka spruce top finished in walnut, with a 12 fret neck, I had to have it. It was packed extremely well and arrived quickly and safely. Condition is beyond minty, fresh sawdust smell 😋 And the sound is incredible. Exactly what I was looking for. I've found my new favorite guitar store.

Derick is an amazing human. He is honest, trustworthy, and fair to say the least. He is so successful because he puts his customers first… meaning he truly wants them to have a guitar that they love. I feel that he puts this above profit to some extent. His is the only dealer that I’ve ever met who takes trades and gives a square deal. He knows guitars but more importantly, he understands humans. I highly recommend that you visit his shop and find some treasures! BTW, I have bought and sold many guitars through Lovies and have never been disappointed.

Big point for the communication they treat customers nicely and I would definitely recommend this shop on reverb or directly on the website as I did.

This morning I saw an advert on Reverb for a Fender Custom Shop Clapton Stratocaster Blackie sold by Lovies Guitars in L.A. I have been looking every day for this exact guitar, so I know the listing is new. Great condition and price. So I visit Lovies website and the guitar is still available, I complete the purchase and pay the purchase price in full. I receive an email with my order confirmation advising that my order is being processed. I did a search on Lovies website for the guitar I just bought and it was no longer listed, so clearly my purchase has been successful and as I have just bought it, it is no longer available, the guitar is mine right, wrong. 9 hours later I receive another email advising I have been refunded the full amount I paid. Ok, some might say that is fair, but I am bitterly disappointed, and I have not received any reply to my emails requesting an explanation to why this was sold from under me. Clearly, Lovies put their mates before professionalism. Buyers beware. 😡

I have purchased four guitars from Lovies. ALL were BETTER than described. Derick has more talent in describing a guitar accurately than any one I know. The price is always right! ALWAYS trust Lovies guitars.

My Gibson SJ 100 just arrived from Lovies, and she is beautiful! She is everything Lovies and Derek told me she would be and more. Just a gorgeous instrument and I can't stop staring at her. This is the very first time I have ever purchased and instrument on line, sight unseen and everything Lovies stated about this guitar was spot on. Lovies Guitars & Derick have done it again. I have purchased 3 amazing guitars from them in the last month. I am talking about 3 unbelievable "case queens" a 1989 Immaculate Les Paul Custom (Vintage Tobacco Burst), a 1990 Immaculate Les Paul Custom (White) and a "collectible" 50th anniversary "all Gold" GoldTop Custom (Unbelievable)

Derick is personable, fair and knowledgeable and my experiences have been amazing just like these guitars.

It's addicting going to their website because every time I do I see another incredible guitar that I want. But "hey" it's an addiction or should i say passion that I can live with and their guitars are the BEST

I have bought a couple guitars from Lovies, a Gibson ES-335 and a Rickenbacker. The products were exactly as represented and were very promptly delivered and the pricing was very reasonable.. I would have no concerns doing business with them again.

Yowzers! Just picked up a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop reissue. The guitar was in MINT condition, unplayed as stated! So Happy to have such a great selection of high end guitars in the area. Thanks Lovies, got my eye on that Darkburst now :P

Charges top dollar for Gibson's with broken headstocks and advertises it as MINT! Ensures you it's only a scratch, and not a crack on a high-priced Gibson ES-335 and when you have a PROFESSIONAL luthier look at it and tells you it's multiple cracks, Lovies Guitars is nowhere to be found. DON'T BUY FROM THEM AND DON'T TRUST THEM! Read for yourself in the communication below:

Me: FYI - I brought this to my guitar luthier and it was a crack. He has repair it. I still feel this was mishandled and misrepresented.

Me: At this point, I think it's best for a refund and return. I will eat the cost of getting the guitar repaired, you pay for the return shipping. Otherwise I will have to pursue this through reverb since this was classified as MINT and a cracked headstock devalues a Gibson almost 50%... See invoice of repair done and message from my luthier.

Me: Still awaiting a response. You ensured there was no structural issues and the headstock was not cracked, that was not true and a fraudulent claim. Advise.

I took several vintage instruments to Lovies Guitars. I enjoyed meeting the owner and seeing how he thoroughly disassembled, inspected, documented and appraised the items. He was very knowledgeable and professional in the handling of the sales. He was great to work with and secured a good price for the instruments that was fair to both us and the buyers.
