Nothing went wrong....I lived in Vegas…

Nothing went wrong....I lived in Vegas for 14 years and played live poker. I saw too many so called "systems" guaranteed to win....this is total BS...why, if it would really work, they would not be selling it, but would have won with it as all humans, they would keep it for themselves. I have one truth to leave with you "if this system, scheme, what ever its called would work, that person would have won the lottery with it and not selling it. Reminds me of the medicine shows of yesterday "snake oil and olive oil just makes a slick path"...Don't fall for these gimicks!

Interesting reading but misleading.

This is based on the supplier's blog about the software.

What is the probability that one combiation you pick wins the Lotto 6/49 game?

P ('the 6 numbers you pick win') = 'your combination of six numbers' / 'all possible combinations of six numbers'
P ('the 6 numbers you pick win') = 1 / 13983816 = 0.00000007151 (0.000007151%)

The odds that one combiation you pick wins the Lotto 6/49 game --> Odds = 1 / (13983816 - 1) = 1 / 13983815 (1 success / 13983815 failures)

What is the probability that the winner draw has 3 odd/3 even numbers?

P ('the winner draw has 3 odd/3 even numbers') = 'all possible combinations of six numbers with 3 odd/3 even' / 'all possible combinations of six numbers'
P ('the winner draw has 3 odd/3 even numbers') = 4655200 / 13983816 = 0.3329 (33.29%)

The odds that the winner draw has 3 odd/3 even numbers --> Odds = 4655200 / (13983816 - 1) = 4655200 / 13983815 (4655200 success / 13983815 failures)

What's the probability that one combination of 3 odd/3 even numbers you pick wins?

P ('one combination of 3 odd/3 even numbers you pick wins') = 'one combination of 3 odd/3 even numbers you pick wins' / 'all possible combinations of six numbers'
P ('one combination of 3 odd/3 even numbers you pick wins') = 1 / 13983816 = 0.00000007151 (0.000007151%)

The odds that one combination of 3 odd/3 even numbers you pick wins --> Odds = 1 / (13983816 - 1) = 1 / 13983815 (1 success / 13983815 failures)

So, no matter which numbers you pick, you are always picking 1 out of 13983815 possible combinations that could win.

The only way to increase the probability of winning is to buy more tickets with different combinations.
Eg. Let's say you buy 4655200 tickets with all the 3 odd/3 even numbers possible combinations. In that case, you are picking 4655200 out of the 13983815 possible combinations.

P ('you win if you buy 4655200 tickets with all the 3 odd/3 even numbers possible combinations') = 'all possible combinations of six numbers with 3 odd/3 even' / 'all possible combinations of six numbers'
P ('you win if you buy 4655200 tickets with all the 3 odd/3 even numbers possible combinations') = 4655200 / 13983816 = 0.3329 (33.29%)

As mentioned before, if you only buy one ticket, then you are playing with just 1 out of 13983815 possible combinations so your probability or odds of winning don't change no matter which combination you choose.

The analogy with the marbles is not correct. The two colors would be the same as if the lottery balls had only two numbers printed (one that's repeated 95 times and the other 5 times).
But in the lottery above there are 49 different numbers that are not repeated.

The comparison with actual data from different lotteries only proves that the numbers are being picked randomly and that there's no bias that favors one number or the other.
As expected for the 49/6 lottery (if numbers are randomly picked), in the long run, approx 33% of the draws have 3 odd/3 even numbers, approx 8% have 1 odd and 5 even, etc.

Hi Jenette, I don't think we disagree. The calculations you have shown are the same figures discussed on the Lotterycodex website, so there's nothing new in your argument. You are simply reiterating what people can read from the Lotterycodex website.

We don't give false hope; winning the lottery is truly difficult. I agree with you 100% that there's only one way to win the 6/49 game, and there are 13.98 million ways to fail (as explained on our website). However, we see something from a different perspective that might interest lottery players, so we want to share it with the world.

We offer new arguments that lotto players will not look at the lottery the same way again. For your information, we don't use 3-odd-3-even as the basis of our calculations. It's not the numbers that matter. The composition matters, and only knowledge of combinatorial mathematics can explain how this works.

We offer the Lotterycodex calculator as a convenient tool. Here's the math; it's up to you how you use these pieces of mathematical information to your advantage.

We don't offer a magic button, just powerful information that might help you become a more intelligent lotto player.

This is nonsense.

This is nonsense.
Composition is arbitrary. One could claim that 3-10-22-29-35-38 is a bad combination, despite containing odd and even numbers and low and high numbers equally, because it contains numbers only from the 3-10-22-29-35-38 group, and not from the 6-9-18-23-31-36 group as well. You could divide numbers into groups in billions of different ways. There's nothing that would make odd-even and low-high groupings more important than others.

We respect your opinion. For your information, we don't use odd-even or low-high as the basis of our calculations. So whatever numbers you picked don't matter. What matters is the composition.

We use a rather more complex combinatorial math to explain how things work. We look at the lottery differently rather than just simple odd-even or low-high. And we want to share this mathematical information with the rest of the lottery community that they may find advantageous.

As you know, knowledge is power. How you use this powerful information as a lotto player is up to you. We don't claim a magic button to guarantee a win.

I respect your opinion. Sorry if you misinterpreted a lot of things. When I said you do better when you play as a syndicate, I am just stating a mathematical fact.

Lotterycodex differs in so many ways. The Lotterycodex is the only calculator that combines combinatorial mathematics and probability theory in one system. The reason you should choose numbers is because you are the player and therefore you are the one responsible for your numbers. The calculator is just a calculator. It cannot calculate if you don't input some numbers.

Lotterycodex calculator is designed to be educational. It tells you what works and what doesn't work according to math. In a game with million possibilities, if you don't calculate, you never know how to decide and make an intelligent choice. Use Lotterycodex to understand your game better mathematically. How you use these pieces of information is up to you. Here are the mathematical facts, make up a good strategy of your own, and be the smartest player in the game. We don't generate do-this-do-that report. The calculator is designed to teach you why something happens so you know what to do.

I thank you for trying Lotterycodex.

I respect your opinion.

Let me just explain what it does.

The only way, and I mean the "only way" mathematically, to increase your chance of winning is to buy more tickets. For this to work, you need a lottery wheel, and in mathematics, we call this "covering" principle so we use combinatorics.

Lotterycodex serves as a lottery wheel where it calculates all the possible combinations from a set of numbers. So Lotterycodex does what it is supposed to do.

But it goes the extra mile.

Lotterycodex is the only lottery wheel that combines combinatorics and probability theory in one system.
And that's important because there's a big difference between having lots of wrong combinations and having the right combinations.

Let me explain.

You know by your gut feeling that 1-2-3-4-5 or 5-10-15-20-25 are not sensible choices. We explain this gut feeling using combinatorial mathematics and probability theory.

The important thing is that when choosing your combinations, composition matters.

For example, don't pick straight consecutive numbers or don't pick multiples such as 3-6-9-12-15 or 10-20-30-40-50. These non-random combinations don't usually win in a random draw. It's not impossible but improbable.

When you pick numbers, at least, try to have a balanced mixture of odd and even numbers and a balanced mixture of low and high numbers. We suggest this because a random draw tends to pick numbers across the number field. And it's very improbable that winning numbers will come from only one number group. For example, 13-14-15-16-17 all come from the teens group. This is why we say 1-2-3-4-5 is not a sensible one to play with.

In Lotterycodex, not only do we deal with probability but also we deal with the improbability of certain groups. And mind you, there are lots of these improbable groups in Euromillions than you can imagine.

This is what we do in our attempt to be sensible when we pick numbers. And I will stand my ground that betting on 10-20-30-40-50 is just a waste of time and money. There are better lines than that.

Here, we try to use combinatorics and probability theory to be more precise and accurate. And we created Lotterycodex calculator to save you from the complexity of calculations.

With Lotterycodex calculator, you get your lottery wheel done. We simply added power to it by separating the best ones from the improbable ones to give you more pieces of information and be an informed player.

At any rate, we know we have different opinions. And I think that's healthy.

As for us, we present the information. If you think it makes sense, then use it to improve your game. If not, then do what you think will work for you.

Anyway, we don't hide the formula in what we do. The exact method is completely described and freely accessible on our website https://lotterycodex.com/.

You don't need a calculator to make it work for you. We only offer our calculator for your convenience.

Incorrectly Applied Statistics

Incorrectly Applied Statistics
The long explanation on the website appears to be using mathematical formulas to imply that choosing three odd and three even numbers drastically increases your odds of winning the lottery. They periodically remind you that every combination of numbers has the exact same odds of winning, and then go straight back to suggesting otherwise. I have to assume this deception is intentional rather than ignorant.

Reply:

Let me give you a simple analogy:

Imagine a three-ball lottery including the numbers 1 2 and 3. One ball is drawn and you need to have picked that ball correctly to win the lottery. 66% of the balls are odd, and as expected 66% of lottery outcomes were odd balls. Only 33% of lottery outcomes were even balls. Using the the logic from the website, it would follow that you are twice as likely to win the lottery if you choose an odd number. Hopefully it is obvious to everyone that this is not true; all picks (1, 2, or 3) have equal probability of being chosen. The same is true for your six picks in 649, all picks are equally as likely to win; there is no selection that is "better" than another.

Reply from Lotterycodex

Thank you for your review, and we respect your opinion. However, I understand you did not purchase a calculator, so naturally, you don't know how it works, and you judge the system without even trying.

Most of the 5-star ratings we get here come from verified buyers who finally realized how math works in a lottery game.

But let me give you an idea of how our calculator works. First, statistics is not the appropriate mathematical tool to apply in a lottery game. So we don't use statistics. Instead, we use probability theory and combinatorial mathematics.

Statistics and probability are two different mathematical tools. For lack of space, you can read more from my article here: https://lotterycodex.com/visual-analysis/

So depending on a given data and your knowledge of existing information, a problem could be either statistical or probabilistic. For example, let's say there's a cabinet full of red, yellow, and green marbles, and you don't know how many red, yellow or green marbles there are inside the cabinet. Therefore any questions you ask are statistical. So you need to pick some samples we call sample population to infer the cabinet's composition.

However, if you know that there are 30 red balls, 50 yellow, and 20 green balls inside the cabinet, then any questions you ask are not statistical ones but probability problems to solve.

In a lottery game with a finite structure, you know the pick size and the number of balls from the drum. You know exactly the odd and even numbers, and you know if one number is low or high numbers. Thus any questions you ask are probability problems.

Sorry to say your simple analogy doesn't reflect the true nature of a lottery game where 5 or 6 balls are drawn to win, and there are too many balls in the urn. Remember, you cannot win with just one number. You have to combine 5 or 6 numbers to win the jackpot. You're focusing too much on the individual numbers and forgetting that the "composition" of a combination matters. Why does composition matter? That's because not all combinations have the same composition. So, there are groups of combinations with varying odds.

Let me remind you that "Odds" and "Probability" are two different terms. They are not mathematically equivalent. Again, for lack of space, let me explain the difference here: https://lotterycodex.com/odds-probability-lottery/

We are not giving you false hope to win the lottery using a Lotterycodex calculator. Instead, we are saying that probability theory and combinatorial mathematics can provide you with knowledge of how your lotto game works. So eventually, as a lotto player, you will be able to play intelligently.

We recommend that all lotto players focus on a class of combinations with a better "ratio of success to failure" rather than worrying about the probability of individual combinations.

The key is how to be less wrong.

Not a lot of point to it...

The only surefire way of winning is to buy 1 ticket for every combination of numbers in your particular lottery...
Beyond that, you increase your chances of NOT having to SHARE any winnings by choosing less common numbers (generally above 31) as the majority of players use dates to choose their numbers!

Thank you, and we respect your opinion. You are correct when you say that buying a ticket for all playable combinations is the only surefire way to win. But unfortunately, this is not how you should play a lottery game. Instead, we recommend that you study how the draw behaves from the perspective of probability theory, combinatorial math, and the law of large numbers. This is the only way you can play lotto intelligently and be wrong less for the majority of the draw. It's all about improving your ratio of success to failure.

More info on what's being purchased

I wish I had more precise information regarding what it is I am actually purchasing... The website content itself incites confusion, as do majority of the reviews. A handful of people say "that's this is just what I needed" - allbeit all uninformative.

From the content it appears to insinuate that "calculators" are provided, however, the reviews state the opposite and this is by no means an "easy get rich quick" scheme, not that I'd expected it was myself but for others I they need to know.

For people like myself I simply need to know what it is in purchasing.
