Keep an eye on your electricity usage!
Keep an eye on your electricity usage! This app is great for letting you see what you are using and whether there's anywhere that you can make adjustments. I've been using it for a while now and it's been really helpful.
Great app to see your energy use graphically
I like the way the data is presented with the darker colour showing more energy use. I like the solar & battery estimates (assuming they are accurate!)
Our house has smart meters but no in home display at present, and Loop is a suitable alternative to allow me to keep track of energy use.

Excellent App
I’ve been using this app to monitor my energy usage via a smart meter for some time now without a problem. It’s easy to setup and use
With easier and better options than the energy suppliers app.
Recently I noticed that Loop had stopped recording energy use, I contacted the support team who couldn’t have been more helpful. The prompt response advised that after research they found out that my smart meter software was two levels out of date. This was the root cause of the issue and could be responsible for erroneous readings. I have since contact my supplier who are in the process of updating our smart meter … eventually.
If not for loop this would have gone unnoticed.
Highly recommend this app. Thanks.
Loop Energy Not so Smart Meter App
My address is not shown in the drop down address list and when entered manually the app does not recognise my MPAN with my post code rendering the app useless. My home is a new build property and I have been supplied with energy at my address coming up for 5 years. Frustrating..
Update: Loop support are unable to fix the problem... referred me back to my energy supplier. Waste of time. Whilst waiting for Loop to resolve the matter, I've connected through Samsung Smartthings with my address, post code and MPAN and it works just fine.

Very responsive organisation
I am from a banking background and was initially concerned about providing card details. There is no need to be concerned. Loop does not keep the details and it is not a scam.
I have always found their team to be super responsive to questions and they answer far more quickly than my energy provider does! The latter should take a leaf out of Loop's book.
Loop has provided very competent responses and explanations to numerous questions I have asked and for that, I say thank you.
It's a very useful app for monitoring your data completeness.
Really like the app
Really like the app. It gives lots of information, which I can breakdown even further if I wish. I find it interesting to be able to see the peaks and troughs in usage, which makes me think how I might be able to save money.
The ability to link your tariff to the app is great. It all feels very personal to me. I’m really glad I found out about Loop.
Great idea, but doesn't work
Great idea, but...... I have had and used the app for about 18 months. Great facility to be able to graphically review power consumption. However there have been no updates for 7 weeks now. Despite logging tickets all I get is "yes there is a problem". No suggestion about a resolution timescale. App has therefore become functionally useless.

Address verification with debit card details
They want to verify my address either with an IHD or my credit card, they say there system thi is I don't have an IHD but I do have an IHD, In this day and age I'm not happy to provide my credit card number complete with the CVV number especially as I'm not purchasing anything. So unfortunately until they fi d another way to verify the address I'm letting my membership lapse, it just ain't worth the risk for the small amount t of money you can gain on their turn down events.

Beware of payment promise.
I was very happy with the App and information provided.
However the first turn down and save offer Loop ran I received payment for my energy saved. Last years savings 2023 to 2024 I have not been paid. I have sent a number of emails that have been mostly ignored.
I was told that I should have had my payment and told twice they would look into it, but they have not got back in touch.
I am now waiting, but not holding my breath for a reply I sent recently before I write to the energy Ombudsman.
Update 9th August 2024:
This matter has now been resolved. I have no idea if I received a number of responses from Loop after putting a review on Trustpilot or if it was a coincidence, but as a balanced review I have to praise Loop for a comprehensive explanation about my issue and resolution.
Betee than The first generation of smart metes with datathat is useful that
This app ia so useful and informative and is extremely useful to help me reduce my energy usage and co2 footprint. The app gives information simply and clearly and very easy to understand.. Much better than the smart meter issued seven years ago by my supplier. I’ve saved money already to reduce my phantom load. . Definitely recommend Loop to everyone who wants to reduce their usage and CO2 footprint. Climate change is real and we have a duty to do everything we can get there as quickly as possible . Great App amd exceptionnel customer service Many thanks .

Far better than IHD display
Far better than IHD display at displaying data so you can understand usage. But I didn't find it that obvious so FAQ could do with improving. The usage display D (daily) shows average power in 30min chunks (what the smart meter reports so same as IHD and best that can be achieved). This is NOT units used per hour as you might expect and what IHD shows. Hence a 10kW shower for 15min would show 5kW on Loop but 2.5 units/hr on IHD. If you tap (click) the 1/2 bar then display will pop up a box telling you time period and energy units used (a tip support shared with me).

I must admit that since the dog ate the remote for the boiler and elec this is a reasonable substitute. It really is good for monitoring your usage of both elec and gas.
So, yes would recommend
Historic graphic display needs improvement
Historic graphic display needs to be improved, colour density of graph bars are impossible to discern on the phone app.
The loop app unfortunately does not give live electric usage.
It does however give more upto date info of power usage than at least 2 power supplier's apps I have used.
Its a good friendly informative app with lots of tips to save energy and the Planet

Fantastic App
My home smart meter display unit is supposed to show gas and electric usage but from the day my smart meter was installed last year there has never been a reading on the home display for gas. My provider assured me that gas readings were being relayed to them but other than going outside to constantly take readings from the meter I had no way to check. I saw some reviews re Loop and thought I'd give it a try. It has been a revelation! Once I'd linked it to my home display unit I could check readings for gas and electric up to last reading time on the day, both in units and cost, yesterday's usage, monthly usage, previous months usage and compare end of month readings with my monthly energy bill.
I can even predict what the current months end of month bill should be.
Loop has proved an exceptionally useful app for me and I highly recommend it.
Now I know what's going on.
I love this app. Had it for a couple months now. It started out with some glitches trying to connect to my smart meter account but now has both gas and electric meters connected giving accurate results from both. I found it amazing how much background energy is used and have clamped down on some of that. We now use about 150wh of energy overnight which is basically the fridge/freezer. I now know I need to change the boiler as it is using £220 of gas a year just to run the pilot light. All this from having the app.
Great app
Great app!
My smart meter display disappeared with the old tenant so I haven’t been able to see our usage. This has been a lifesaver for seeing our daily costs.
I’m having issues displaying my gas usage but this is an issue with my energy supplier and they are trying to fix it for me.
