My experience with London Property Broker Limited has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I have ever had with a letting agent, and I strongly advise anyone considering them to think twice.

My friend and I initially contacted them because we were looking for an unfurnished two-bedroom apartment. We were clearly told that all the two-bedroom properties they had available were furnished, and that the only unfurnished option available was a three-bedroom apartment. Since we specifically needed an unfurnished place, we agreed to view the three-bedroom property. After viewing it, we actually liked the apartment and decided to put in an offer, which was subsequently accepted.

Following the acceptance of the offer, we proceeded with the next steps in good faith. We paid the holding deposit and even signed the tenancy agreement, believing everything was moving forward as expected. At this point, we also began the referencing process.

However, from the start, the communication from this agency was extremely poor. Emails and text messages would often go unanswered for more than 24 hours, sometimes even longer. It felt like we constantly had to chase them just to get basic updates about the process.

The referencing stage was another nightmare. It took over two weeks to complete because the referencing company kept requesting numerous documents, including additional financial evidence and a guarantor. Despite the constant requests, we cooperated fully and provided every document they asked for promptly. Eventually, the referencing company accepted all of our references, so naturally we believed everything was finally settled and we would soon be able to move forward with paying the remaining amounts and arranging our move-in.

Then came the most shocking and unacceptable part of the whole experience.

Just when we were preparing to make the final payments and move into the property, we were suddenly informed that the landlord had withdrawn the property. The reason given was that the landlord allegedly had a colleague who was interested in the property, and he had decided to give the property to that colleague instead.

This was absolutely unbelievable.

At this point we had already:
• Paid a holding deposit
• Signed the tenancy agreement
• Spent weeks completing referencing
• Submitted a large number of personal and financial documents
• Put our housing plans on hold based on the assumption that this property was secured

To make matters worse, this happened at a time when we have less than two weeks to vacate our current apartment, because our current landlord has asked us to move out at the end of our contract as they intend to sell the property.

This situation has placed us under immense stress and pressure, all because of the completely unprofessional way this agency handled the process. After weeks of time, effort, and paperwork, to suddenly be told the property is no longer available because the landlord wants to give it to a colleague is simply unacceptable.

The lack of communication, extremely slow responses, drawn-out referencing process, and ultimately withdrawing the property after everything had been agreed shows a serious lack of professionalism and respect for prospective tenants.

This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with a letting agent. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a property to avoid this agency if you want a smooth and reliable renting process.

It's very funny to read through all these reviews when in truth this agency is the worst housing agency that I have come across in my years living in London.
Saw an apartment in a new development advertised by their service and was interested.
Went to the viewing, paid the holding deposit and completed the referencing with them and time for them to sign the contract, they started giving silly excuse and mind you, I informed them that I had limited time on my current accommodation and even declined other offers and now they left me at risk of being homeless. They string me along for 3 weeks, held my money, wasted my time, efforts and plans and toss me away refusing to compensate on their failure but if the case is reversed, I will lose the holding deposit paid. When I tried to reach out to their office, I was not allowed to speak to a manager even a team member denied ever working in the service when I reached out to him about the issue and he was very rude to me in his response.
PLEASE RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN except you want to risk your chances. I couldn't tell if it's a deliberate attempt especially when they have my personal and sensitive details and saw that I was a foreigner and I am very sure other people had similar experience or at the verge of having this similar experience.
I made a complain but did not get a response from them on how to resolve my complaint. They wasted my time, efforts and disrupting my travel plans. I had to start searching, taking extra time off work to go for viewing and cancelled other plans that I initially had. I went through emotional turmoil and my mental health was affected as well. They acted unbothered even when I contacted them for compensation or to provide alternative solution to prevent me from being at risk of homeless.
I will say this,”There is always a repercussion for every actions, now or in the future”.

Macey was incredibly helpful throughout our rental process. She supported us in shortlisting the right property and was a huge help in getting the referencing completed for us. The referencing turned out to be quite a marathon due to several constraints and requirements, but Macey remained patient, supportive, and responsive the entire time.

Her persistence and willingness to assist at every step made a challenging process much smoother for us. We truly appreciate her dedication, patience, and professionalism in helping us get everything completed successfully. Thank you, Macey, for all your help!
