Lomond Motor Movers & Towbars Reviews 

I have now used Lomond Motor Movers & Towbars twice now and received excellent service on both occasions. John is friendly and professional, arrived when he said would and was very reasonable on costs.

I first used John back in 2022 for a 10 month old Kia Proceed which I had for 2.5 years and had no issues with.

I have just used John again to fit a tow bar to a 6 month old Skoda Elroq.

John takes great care to ensure parts are safely stored during work and refitted correctly.

John has also been very open and honest during both jobs for me. Firstly on my Proceed, he highlighted that he could not get the boot floor completely flat again and it was off by a few millimetres, this was due to me fitting an aftermarket spare wheel. Also, prior to starting work and several times during work highlighted that he could not code my Elroq for the tow bar, so would need to deactivate some systems manually, this is due to the software my car has and VW not releasing 3rd party access yet, which may be rectified in the future.

Overall my experience with Lomond Motor Movers & Towbars has been excellent and I will continue to use in the future and fully recommend.

This is the third time we have used Lomond Motor Movers to have a tow bar fitted by John. Once again, his service was absolutely impeccable. From start to finish he was professional and efficient.

He is reliable, friendly and takes pride in his work. We wouldn't go anywhere else for tow bar fitting. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I have used this business. I had a tow bar fitted to my Volvo XC40 this morning and I was delighted with the job. He keeps you updated after the initial order, and is punctual, friendly and a very tidy worker.
His prices are very good in comparison with the quote Arnold Clark gave me when I bought the car.
I have no hesitation in giving this business a 5 star recommendation.

John arrived on time today 30/4/25 and carried out the motor mover installation flawlessly. He spent time to show us exactly how to operate it and watched us as we operated it. He also gave us advice about our battery and connectors. 5 stars from beginning to end. I would recommend him.

John was very professional and helpful. He arrived when expected and worked conscientiously, installing the towbar to a high standard, tidying the wiring and securing the bumper. Reasonable price too. I would recommend highly.

High praise for John, who had previously fitted my towbar, for his perseverance in finding and replacing the "fuse from hell" in my Peugeot 5008 which had blown because of a fault in my bike rack lamp holder. Highly recommend anyone looking to get a towbar or other fittings to use Lomond Motor Movers.

Communication was very clear throughout the process. Installation was carried out in a professional manner taking a maximum of 4 hours. I highly recommend this company very good indeed.

Has a detachable swan neck tow bar fitted today! Boy John braved the cold and fixed up my two bar in -1. John is a perfectionist and took time and care while fitting, I’m over the moon and now can carry the bikes on the back

John fitted a motormover to our caravan today. He was quick and efficient, a very neat job and spent time showing me how to operate it correctly. I would highly recommend John to anyone wanting a motor mover as his service is excellent and prices are good. Not worth trying to fit it yourself.

John fitted a tow bar for me and was kind enough to squeeze me in at short notice. Delighted with all aspects of the service and the price was very reasonable and competitive. Highly recommended and would happily use this company again.

Amazing experience with this company. I have now used them twice and I won't go anywhere else now! Purpleline motor mover fitted in late September which has been flawless and gives me so much more freedom as I'm usually travelling with just my 11 year old!! Works perfectly easy to use and engineer gave me a extensive explanation and demo of it before finishing the job. It wasn't just a fit and go he actually spent time after the job was completed to ensure I operated it correctly and safely which helped build my confidence and understanding!

The 2nd job has just been completed today on my way. Wiring issues occurred in the hook up of my van. I got given bad/false advice from the dealership the van was purchased from and then took it to someone who clearly did not have the skill set to fix the issue...... Thankfully this company came to the rescue and repaired the hook up faults and have got me back on the road. Service again was perfect, arrived when they said remained in touch via email. Took on someone else's mess and was professional throughout. I am truly grateful and I highly recommend this company. He's the only person I will use now!!

After week's of stress he solved my issues within a few hours.

You won't find better so don't settle!!

From initial enquiry John explained all the options and took time to ensure the product met my expectations. On the day of installation John was thoroughly professional and took his time to explain how the system would be fitted. After installation I was then given a full tour of the movers capabilities, he gave really good advice on tips and tricks to use the system. I have no hesitation in recommending John and his company, he exceeded my expectations throughout, I have now booked him for my tow bar installation.

Anytime in the past 6 or 7 years John Marshall has fitted several towbars to my cars and a motor mover to my caravan. All done very neatly and tidily with all the electrics working perfectly. I've never had anything to complain about in all these years.

I used Lomond in Aug 23 to have a new Motor Mover installed to my caravan. I found John to be very helpful and he ensured that I had the correct product for my needs. Install went well and I have had no issues with the mover. I've since been back in touch and arranged to have the mover removed/refitted to a new caravan.
As always, John was very accommodating.
