It was a very sugary and dry cake. Lola's cakes are usually excellent, but the "gender" one had a simple composition: a thin layer of jam sauce and an exterior covered entirely in sugary frosting.The cake had absolutely no taste.

Brought the chocolate gluten free cake and I got the cookie one last year, the chocolate inside is too thick so it completely takes over tasting the thin cake inside, it would be nicer if the cake was thicker and the chocolate in between the layers was minimal

The cake was so good and easily served more than 8,
The cupcakes were also delicious, The frosting is so light and creamy and not sickly like some other well known shops

Very easy to order a birthday cake we like the raspberry and chocolate cup cake so I order that in a larger birthday cake. The delivery was perfect and all went so well. Delivered in a love box in a Lolas bag, straight to the door in perfect timing and with a smile. Would have liked a bit more raspberry in the cake itself, but usual quality cake. Thank you.

I had a lovely red velvet cake on my birthday treat to London, unfortunately my birthday was the next day, so I wasn’t allowed my birthday cake, I had to get it with my points, I don’t live near London or a Lola’s I only buy from London when I come there so I wasn’t allowed a bit disappointed x

Lola’s Cakes Review — My 40th Birthday Cake Journey (2/4 so far!)

Turning 40 is a whole celebration season for me — four parties, four cakes — and Lola’s has been at the heart of the joy.
I’ve ordered 2 out of my 4 birthday cakes so far, and each one has been phenomenal.
1️⃣ Lemon & Raspberry Cake – Small (Dinner Party)This was the perfect start to my birthday celebrations. The balance of tangy lemon and sweet raspberry was spot‑on, and the sponge was beautifully light. It looked elegant on the table and tasted even better — my guests were genuinely impressed.
2️⃣ Fruity & Floral Cake (Garden Party) This cake was a showstopper. Visually stunning, fragrant, and full of flavour. It matched the garden party vibe perfectly — fresh, vibrant, and beautifully crafted. It felt like a centrepiece, not just a cake.
3️⃣ Eaton Mess Cake (Park Celebration – Coming Up!) My third cake is already ordered — the Eaton Mess — and if it’s anything like the first two, I know it’s going to be a hit. I love that Lola’s offers cakes that feel fun, celebratory, and still premium.
4️⃣ Final Cake (Spa Day – Cake To Be Decided) I haven’t chosen my final cake yet, but Lola’s has set the bar so high that I know whatever I pick will round off my 40th birthday celebrations perfectly.
Overall Lola’s has made my milestone birthday feel extra special. The quality, the flavours, the presentation — everything has been consistently exceptional. I’m genuinely excited for cakes 3 and 4.
Highly recommend for anyone planning multiple celebrations or wanting cakes that truly elevate the moment.

The cake was not as good as we expected very dry and doesn’t taste fresh. I’m very sorry very disappointed.

Excellent cake (blueberry) and easy to collect from locker although where the locker was could have been explained better (location Guildford)

Moana cake was delicious and beautifully decorated. Delivery went well. Price was $99 with £2.50 discount that included delivery.

From ordering to delivery all great. Cake looks fantastic, but please reduce the amount of sugar in your recipes. I ordered lots of different cake of yours due to simplicity of ordering and almost all of them are on the very sweet side . Apart from that you have great variety and they look amazing!

Customer service agent was amazing as I was struggling online to place an order for x2 mix cupcakes that had different items in, all was completed over the phone ready for collection and the lady was so helpful. I ordered, gluten free, vegan and vegan gluten free cupcakes all of which were delicious!! My only reason for a 4 star is the items weren’t labeled, although separately packaged so I was worried as to which were the gluten free, vegan gluten free etc so it would be great if there was more labelling either on the items or a description of what was in each box.
