The business is sketchy
The business is sketchy. In early November, I responded to their online service advertisement for logo design for my nephew. I was asked to pay $90 or $100 and told the designer would contact me. When he did contact me, he told me his name was Michael Smith. He had a thick Asian accent and I couldn't understand him well. He talked me into letting him design a website for $300. I paid the $300 and told him that is all I can pay. My nephew is young and knows nothing about business and needs to find his own way. I really just wanted the logo. Then Michael wanted to talk to my nephew. After he talked my nephew, MIchael called me and said, "Oh he wants QR scanning and this and that. I told MIchael my nephew was NOT paying for this. He continued to go on and on and talked me into paying another $150 for additional features to the website.
After a couple of days Michael called and wanted me to talk to his "Microsoft guy". This was another person with a thick Asian accent and he wanted me to let him host my website. I asked if he worked for Microsoft and he said he did. I asked if he works for them or is just certificated in Microsoft applications. He then said he is certificated. I asked where his website is. He directed me to a site that had basic information that in no way showed it was his website. I decided to try him at $200 for two years. I was then sent an invoice for the hosting.
By then, I had received a logo but the website was a generic template and I had been talking to Michael for about 3 weeks. I decided I didn't want the hosting service and he said he would "see" if he could get a refund for me.
After a couple of days and no refund, I asked about my refund. Michael said, "Oh you'll get it in a couple of weeks". I looked at the billings I paid and wanted to ask about my refund. I called the telephone number on the multiple invoices. They said they didn't KNOW Michael and I hadn't paid them. I then turned it over to my credit card company.
I also checked BBB and saw they have an F rating. After two months, the website started showing information I provided multiple times before all was included. The website was supposedly uploaded to my hosting service in early January. In February, my credit card company asked if the $300 invoice had been resolved. I then entered my website in the URL and the website was NOT there. The template was there. I messaged Michael and I don't understand what he was telling me about why the website was not up.
Michael was not capable of uploading my website to my hosting service. My hosting service representative uploaded it March 30. I let my credit card company know and they are processing the approval for Michael's bank.
In the meantime, Michael calls me multiple times a day - sometimes 3 or 4 times within 5 minutes when I don't answer the phone. He wants me to pay another invoice. I told him that would be a duplicate payment. He said he would send the money back to me when he gets it and he talked about all of his bills I told him I'm done with it and hung up. He continued to call me 3 times this morning. I blocked his number.
