Whilst the rental office was located after a long walk from Rome’s FCO international terminal, the check in counter experience was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately our 9 seater van had a defective seat however the Locauto staff quickly arranged a replacement. Vehicles are clean, showing signs of exterior wear (normal for Italy) but experience was within budget and great customer service.
The limited business hours at Civitavecchia can be problematic but again the great customer service made up for this inconvenience.

The car pickup was quick and efficient, the vehicle was handed over clean and well maintained, and the staff was courteous and helpful throughout the entire process. Everything was simply perfect.
The return was also fast and completely hassle-free, with quick and friendly service.

We picked up our car at Rome Fiumicino Airport, and the process was fairly quick and easy. Once we went up to the garage, the staff reviewed everything with us before we headed off. The car was clean and great to drive. There were a few existing marks, but everything was noted on the paperwork before we left.

We returned the car in Salerno, which was very straightforward. Finding a spot to park was a little tricky because the street was extremely busy, but the staff quickly came out to check the car, and the return was done in no time. Overall, a very good experience with Locauto.

We were informed that if the car was stolen in certain regions, we would have to pay double the excess unless we took out additional insurance, on top of the comprehensive insurance we already had through Booking.com. Whether the car is stolen in Naples or Rome, it remains stolen, isn't it?

The car itself was not particularly powerful, but it did what it was supposed to do.

The staff were, however, very friendly when we returned the car.

Our evening flight was delayed for almost two hours, but I managed to receive the rented car after midnight (for a fee of €40) so we could get safely to Lazio at night. Fine service overall.

Very good is great company

Easy check in and drop off. Quicker than most auto rental places at FCO. Good value and nice vehicle. The fill up option is nice.

Car did not work. Broke down. Error saying "Powertrain System Failure." Air conditioning did not work. Locauto would not come to replace the car. Lost an entire day of vacation, having to go to Florence to get a new car that worked.

Wait to get car in FCO was over an hour. The system with the tickets malfunctioned. Totally disorganized. Very disappointing.

Great car. Great service picking up the car. Even better experience dropping off the car.

I booked a car with another company that didn't release the vehicle to me due to not having a credit card! I found myself in a very difficult situation, and a huge thank you goes to the Locauto employee who found me an available car that fit my budget. This is the second time I've used this company and I highly recommend them! Professional and helpful service! Thank you.

The staff at Fiumcino were friendly, efficient and helpful, both when we collected and returned the car. We had asked for a small car (Fiat Panda size) and that is exactly what we got (our experience with other providers is that they have a habit of "upgrading" to something larger, which is a real nuisance if you are staying in an Italian hill town).
Would be happy to use Locauto again.

Check in and Check out process was smooth. Staff was courteous and professional. We rented a child seat and it would have been helpful if staff had assisted with the installation. Overall, a positive experience and would recommend.

The check in staff and the dispatch staff were very helpful and friendly. Would have given 5 stars but for the condition of the bodywork on the hire car. I will certainly recommend Lacauto as a reliable car rental company.
