The car we were given was tired and…
The car we were given was tired and uncomfortable to drive. The suspension was non- existent which made driving on many of the Puglia roads difficult. In addition there appeared to be a differential whine which made driving unpleasant.
We received a car which has no reversing camera. We would have expected this to be a standard feature on rental cars in Italy especially with the lack ABs size of parking spaces.
Worst of all , we hired this car expecting to drop it off near to Bari Centrale. When we got to Bari we were given directions to the airport rental station. We would not have taken this contract if we’d known this. At the pick up stage we were told it would not be dropped off at the same spot. The impression we got was it would be nearby. The drop off point in the documentation said Piazza Aldo Moro.
The documentation was also substandard, mentioning the car and been in an accident and had been stolen in Puglia previously.
While the people we dealt with were pleasant, they were very cavalier. We checked the car thoroughly when we picked it up and they had ignored or missed a number of dings and scrapes /scratches. When we pointed this out they said don’t worry !
