We make ridiculously comfy sofas and beds and lovely laid-back homewares to help people lead happier, more relaxed lives. We're champions of comfort and craftsmanship and use old-school know-how to make our wares. In fact, all our sofas and upholstered beds are made right here in Blighty. We've got a choice of over 150 kicked back colours across nine feel-good fabrics. You can help yourself to free swatches on our website. Don't forget to swing by one of our slowrooms to rest-test our range or give our team of Loafers a call, we're always happy to help.

I had previously visited Islington Loaf as it is quite easy for me to get to and I have a Loaf sofa and armchair that I wanted to match with a little cheese stool. The shack is relaxed with very helpful staff and it was useful to verify my choice in person. I later completed my purchase with confidence online. I then needed to get a shearling cushion as a gift and did not have enough time to order it online so visited Islington Loaf. The staff (esp. Simon) were very helpful in assisting me to choose the right shape/look that I wanted. I really appreciated the time taken and the genuine interest shown in helping me with my choice.

First of all I wanted to call the Islington store to ask if they would hold a lamp for me, because it was showing as in stock there on the Loaf website (but out of stock through the website). There was no number published for the store, so I called head office. The woman on that line said customers can’t call stores directly, but she’d message Islington to ask them to call me back - they never did. So the next day I travelled up from Kent to go to the store hoping to buy the lamp only to be told that the lamp was a display item, not for sale, and that nothing can be bought directly from their stores. Why does the Loaf website indicate items are available in stores if they can’t be bought? Why is there no phone number for stores - is it because they are just showrooms? (in which case make that clear rather than calling them ‘Shacks’ in an irritating attempt to sound funky). And why did no one call me back as requested through head office? I wasted time and money on a completely unnecessary trip, caused by Loaf’s terrible communications.

Amazing store! Could have stayed all day! Simon in particular was absolutely brilliant, as was Geri. They were very helpful and friendly, and took great care of us and our kid. Wish we had reason to come back!

Simon was such a great enthusiast, funny, encouraging, genuine and helpful. Goes a long way. What a treat to have a Loaf Chair along with a Pouffe and cover for accidents. The warm experience has left me with a good feeling about my purchase. Looking forward to receiving.

Great staff in the store! Loved the cinema to keep the kids busy while we tried out the sofas.

Welcoming environment and staff + Great products.
Geri served us and was patient and helpful and warm. All you want.
It was great to see that it seemed a happy and relaxed place to work, with treats on hand for the kids and the opportunity for them to watch a movie so that we could browse and make decisions without interruption.
The product range is so varied and we were given enough time, with no pressure, to make the right decision.

Ally in the Islington store was excellent. Her knowledge of loaf products was impressive and her design guidance very helpful.
Also the woman I spoke to over the phone yesterday to get an updated link to pay for the order was delightful. Sorry didn’t get her name.

The islington store is beautifully laid out. You can really spend time there contemplating your purchase. The staff are available when you're ready for advice. They are patient and helpful whilst you review the options, colours and fabrics. The take away sample fabrics are really useful as well as the large scale 'blankets' that you can drape over the sofas in the showroom. We made several visits before settling on our final fabric, colour for the sofa we wanted. Great customer service and experience.

Lovely showroom experience; I went in with a good idea of what I wanted to order and was assisted by someone who was very knowledgable and friendly and was able to answer all the questions I had going in. A seamless experience; I can’t wait to receive my furniture!

We've been thinking about our dream sofa for over a year now and had already made a decision on what we wanted. Having spent hours on the website, we decided to visit the showroom in Islington to actually sit on the sofa, check the size and feel the quality of the fabric.
Cate was very helpful and gave us a few options to think about as we checked measurements and confirmed that our choice of sofa would actually fit through an awkwardly sized hallway.
We chose the Brioche sofa as it comes flatpacked, but more than that, it was also the sofa we preferred. So we were very happy.
Once we had confirmed our decision, the purchase took a matter of minutes. Very happy.
Also, the bathroom has La Labo handsoap and handcream; and there were complimentary bottles of water, chocolate bars and sweets - all in all, a very pleasant shopping experience.
These sofas aren't cheap, but we've saved up for years and they're totally worth the wait!
