Pattern of how fines are handled
I received a parking control fee in a place where the signage was unclear, and the stated reason for the fee was confusing. The ticket said “PARKING FEE NOT PAID,” even though there was no option to pay for parking at that location.
When I appealed, I was told that the actual reason was that a valid monthly permit was required. That is a different reason from the one stated on the ticket.
I informed them about this inconsistency, but instead of acknowledging the confusion or improving the signage, they decided to keep the fine.
I also asked people nearby whether parking there was allowed, and they told me it was not a problem, which shows that the situation was confusing not only to me.
In my opinion, the signage and the way this fine was handled were misleading. It seems obvious that most drivers would pay or avoid parking there if the rules were clearly stated.
The whole process gave me the impression that this may not have been an isolated case, but part of a wider pattern of how such fines are handled by this company.
