Same as the recent reviews
Same as the recent reviews, I have been a subscriber nearly 2 years and I have loved it until the last few weeks. As everyone else says the phone lines are not working customer emails are hardly being answered and nothing has been sent out for me for over two weeks. I will also be cancelling my subscription but really annoyingly as I’ve just been billed. I will email customer service again and ask for a credit for the last billing cycle as clearly something has gone very wrong.
I loved this rental service for the…
I loved this rental service for the first two months but in April 2025 it has all gone wrong.
Two weeks after returning both items, I had received nothing. I regularly chased with customer services, allowing them at least 48 hours as requested. They offered a discount but still nothing arrived. Waited 6 days for customer services at one point.
Now they have just refunded me which is a shame. Pity the service couldn't have continued as it was.
Some thing has happened to LK Borrowed…
Some thing has happened to LK Borrowed in April 2025. I have been a customer for years. Now my returned items are not being cleared from my wardrobe for weeks. Telephone line doesn’t work. Customer service does not reply despite multiple emails. I have a gift service till 2 August and have prepaid. I noticed no new items listed on website for weeks and it normally gets added on a Monday. Some thing wrong has happened this month.
No new clothes sent and can’t cancel
I’ve been using LKBorrowed for over 2 years and until the beginning of this year it was excellent. Clothes were great quality, returns processed quickly and regular new items added. However since Jan I’ve found that although clothes are returned back to LKBorrowed’s office they aren’t processed for weeks on end meaning nothing else will be sent out and you can pay for a full month with no new clothes while you’re waiting for your returns to be processed. You also can’t cancel your membership with items outstanding but as this is reliant on LKBorrowed to process the return it seems they’ve got customers trapped. Starting to feel like LKBorrowed is on the brink of collapse.
Was a great service, sad that it has ended
I've been subscribing for 18 months. Always had very good service. But I have had no new items sent out in a month despite having 46 items on the rack. My email has not been responded to and the telephone number is not connected. Something has happened, so I will be cancelling my subscription until the issue has been resolved.
Avoid, clothes are not turning up
I just signed up to LK Borrowed as I loved the concept. I received my first box and was very pleased. The second box was not as good quality. The next boxes never arrived. Customer service has gone dead on me whilst the company took the next month's payment from my account. I'm still getting emails from them advertising the service. I echo previous comments, have they gone bust?
Loved the concept and was a customer…
Loved the concept and was a customer since August 2024. Unfortunately, for the last two weeks my “At Home” section was not updated which means no further clothes have been sent to me even though the returned items have been at their warehouse for over 2 weeks. I did get replies from customer services but these were not very helpful. I cancelled my subscription yesterday as it was due to be renewed soon as I did not want to spend £79 whilst not receiving any new clothes. I was afraid that I will be charged for the items I returned, that would still show in “My Home” section and so I emailed customer support again. I received a reply within 1 h (even though I sent it at 5 am) to state that there won’t be any charges. Then I checked my account again and all items were gone from my home section. Looks very much like there are financial difficulties ongoing. Sad that I can’t use them anymore as I loved the clothes I received.
Awful... £79 down, 14 days no clothes dispatched
I used to use LK Borrowed from 2023 - it had been excellent. I re-joined this month for a series of work and personal events over summer period. Paid £79 and received 2 items... It has now been 14 days since I returned items, I have 13 items in my rack and NOTHING has been dispatched. Turn around time to dispatch is meant to be 2 days. I have called them, but phone says "we are not able to answer calls". Had very little support from customer services. They say leave it with us and we will respond in 48 hours. I have been. I have paid £80 for nothing this month. I asked for a refund and they said they can't do that. I have been a loyal LK Bennett customer and this has put me off their brand entirely. I would advise people to avoid LK borrowed it is not providing a service, just taking money.
No delivery and can’t contact them
Have been using LK Borrowed since 2021. Never had an issue until this month when the items received were poor and not like the picture. Have returned them but not seen the usual next two items. It is over a week now and I cannot get a response from customer services. They do not reply to emails or answer the phone. This is not acceptable service. Have they gone into administration or something?
Terrible! Avoid or be scammed!
I’ve had this subscription for a year, and generally it was good, and fun to get a regular supply of new clothes.
However at the moment there has been no supply of clothes, and no updating my returned items. Emails are going unanswered.
Totally unacceptable, avoid at all costs!!!!!!!
Awful customer service
I really enjoyed the free trial and had a few problem free deliveries. I decided to pay to continue my subscription and over a week into my paid subscription I have had no delivery, no clothes dispatched. I emailed customer services several times to request a refund ( still waiting) and they don’t accept phone calls. Money down the drain. Appalling service which is such a shame as it’s a good concept with great clothes - no use if you don’t get them though.
Recently they have been very slow
Recently they have been very slow, barely getting any items. I can no longer contact customer services by phone either, so yep, it looks like I will have to cancel my membership.
Loving the concept!
Really enjoying the service so far! I have already tried 7 items. Each time it feels fun and fresh to discover new pieces and it gives me the impression I am renewing my wardrobe much more often without having to go shopping. I mostly focus on work clothes or stand out pieces that I would not normally buy to test out new things. Sizes are not always perfect but much more predictable once you know how their clothes fit than ordering blindly online.
Lovely clothes. Good service.
Seasonally relevant clothes. Good selection in smaller sizes and true to size. I’ve recommended 2 friends and they love it too. Happy with delivery service though occasionally turn around for items can be a little slow.
Appalling lack of customer service
Atrocious lack of customer service. Clothes are tiny and completely misleading sized. Two dresses arrived in a bag, not even a sheet of tissue paper between them. One was not as described and the other very poorly made. Cancelled my subscription when customer service proved to be entirely disinterested. I have the dresses LKB you can collect to suit. You can't be bothered so I can't be bothered going to the PO to return. All sorted in the end to everyone's satisfaction.

The worst customer service experience I…
The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I had an occasion that I wanted a new dress for and thought this subscription/borrow service would be a viable option. First 2 items arrived in a cloth envelope literally shoved in a ball. As soon as I removed the items from said bag, they stank of smoke and were full of wrinkles. I didn’t even try them on. Contacted customer service to cancel my subscription and they sounded apologetic and said they would send me out the same items again if I return them and the lady talked me through this on the phone. I was talked out of cancelling my subscription. It was Christmas in between this so the replacement items did not arrive to me until another 2 weeks after this. Again, they arrived in a cloth envelope with no other packaging and I was really annoyed to see that the wrong items were sent. I phoned customer services again and they could not have been less helpful or apologetic this time. They blamed me for apparently picking the wrong items! I explained I was told to select other items to make up my order wardrobe but was assured that the original faulty items would be re-sent. The customer service assistant treated me like I was lying. I asked for a refund as none of the items received were either wearable or actually selected for me to wear and they refused, stating it is not their policy to give refunds. I was then fobbed off by saying a manager would contact me to ‘explain their policy’ within 24 hours. That was over 2 weeks ago and I still have not received a phone call or email. I have paid for items and a service that I did not receive and feel very ripped off. I would definitely avoid LK Bennett in future and advise others to purchase elsewhere.
Hardly anything in size 18/XL
I love the idea of clothes rental. And I was pleased to see LK Borrowed offered this service at size 18/XL so I joined up. That’s when I discovered there were 17 choices in total at my size! Of these half the dresses were above the knee, which as a woman in my late 50s I don’t wear and one was a very summery dress (it’s late October). Only one choice in bottoms and in tops - 2 were coats and 2 were really unsuitable tops. My first box arrived quickly and with no issues. However you have to have 6 items in your ‘wardrobe’ to get a box sent out and there is literally nothing to choose from. They claim the website is updated with new items daily. But having checked for the past week, nothing new has come up in my size. This is disappointing - if you are going to offer a service and say it is for a size you need to have enough options in that size. I checked what was available at size 14 - loads of choice! I emailed them and they replied and said keeping checking the website and add more things to your wardrobe - which is not possible when there is nothing to add. The skirt they sent is very nice and the dress is ok but very lightweight so not really suitable for this time of year. I really wanted to love this service but unless more options become available very soon I will be cancelling after my first month. Come on LK Borrowed - get your act together on size choice!
Good but could be better
A good idea for those who only want to wear things a couple of times, or to try something out before buying, but I would think for the average person £79 a month for clothes you don’t own is perhaps a little steep. There are definitely cheaper rental options available. I signed up for a month’s free trial, but don’t think I could justify spending that amount on a permanent basis after the trial. I’d rather spend that money on clothes I can keep and rewear over and over. That said the clothing is really good quality and there were lots of options available to add to the virtual wardrobe. The first box arrived the day after ordering. There are two pieces sent out at a time but once I’d clicked to let them know I was returning the first two pieces, they began preparing my next box which then arrived two days after my first box had been picked up by the postman. It’s really easy to return the items - there’s a postage-labelled bag included so it’s just a case of popping the clothes in and then either dropping it at the Post Office or arrange a collection with Royal Mail. I’m now onto my third box in my free trial and only signed up a week and a half ago. One thing I did find disappointing is that there is the option to “prioritise” items on the wardrobe and it says every effort will be made to include priority items in the next box. I prioritised several items and yet not one of them was sent out. I understand things may be unavailable at the time of posting, but when more than one item is marked as prioritised you’d think at least one would be available and sent. It seems a little pointless to mark as priority if it doesn’t actually mean anything or produce any results. When items have been sent, there is the option to purchase them at a reduced rate, however I found this was higher than elsewhere in some cases. For example, I rented a blouse which was offered for purchase at £79, but I found this at a well-known department store for £45 (sale price), so it’s definitely worth shopping around before buying from L K Borrowed - in this case I saved £34 buying brand new, rather than paying so much more for something countless other people have worn beforehand. In all, a good service and good choice of styles and sizes available, but definitely areas for improvement!
Point 3 of the How this Setrvice Works
Point 3 of the How this Service Works, states you will be able to buy garments at a reduced price. The dress was online on the LK site at £221 they said I cannot get a reduction but I could have 30% off an elevated price of £329. This is shocking service and needs to change
