Disappointing Experience with Larq Bottle

I was genuinely excited to try the Larq bottle, especially for its self-cleaning and UV technology to prevent mold and bacteria. Unfortunately, my first bottle was lost within a week, but I believed in the product enough to purchase another.

However, just a couple of months in, my enthusiasm turned into frustration. Despite washing the bottle regularly and always keeping it charged, it has become the dirtiest water bottle I’ve ever owned. The very reason I bought this bottle is now the biggest issue. The buildup is so bad that it feels unsalvageable, and I’m left with no choice but to throw it away.

At this point, I can’t recommend the Larq bottle. It’s an expensive purchase with underwhelming performance, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to its promises

Non-existent customer service

I have been a loyal customer for several years but now an order has not been received and they aren't replying to my emails asking for a refund or replacement and there is no phone number to call them on. I have been emailing them for over a week.

I have previously managed to get a response on email when I've had a product query so the fact that they haven't responded to me now seems deliberate.

They won’t replace defective filters - they just want your money!

So, I’ve got the bottle for few months now.(I’ve waited too long ofc) the first filter that comes with the bottle was smooth. After filter wasn’t good, I have my subscription filters with me. The first one works well, but the second and third one doesn’t work so well. It’s so hard to suck water from it and they won’t replace the filters! The customer service is so bad and email takes forever! Irena(customer service) told me soak the filter for 5mins. My god! The filters was working after few sips then it’s hard to suck liquids from it! It’s been soaking for days! It’s easy fix! Just replace and send me 2 new filters how is that so hard? Your product was defective and still making it hard for your costumers to communicate with you! We just want to enjoy drinking for the bottle and this seems like we just wasted our money! Please stay away!

Great Bottle

I bought this bottle right before a week long trip to Tampa (beach and zoo) and Orlando (Disney World). My three little girls (two 9, one 4) really put this bottle to the test and it held up well and I couldn't believe after a long time in the hot Florida sun (90 degree plus temp) I still had ice in it with cold water. I actually started transferring water from my Contigo water bottle to the Larq water bottle throughout the day to keep it fresh and really cold in the hot sun. It also made the Disney water fountain water actually taste good and I felt pretty safe from getting sick by using the purifying function. I have had several bad experiences drinking tap water both in the US and abroad (ROW) so this is a game changer for me. Wow if you could partner with Disney and other theme parks around the world your business would explode.

Some suggestions would be to make the silicone boot go over most of the water bottle. My four year old loved this water bottle (advanced filter) since it was a lot like her sippy cups with a straw but dropped it many times and so it has some scratches. Just a suggestion from a dad that is rough on everything and has kids that are just as bad.

The bottle did very well and survived a week at the beach, zoo, and Disney at least and would recommend it to anyone.

Good bottle but not recommend for ease of mind tracking

No issue so far with purevis2. I live alone and it definitely pushes me drink more water with the filter straw. But if u want an accurate tracking bottle, this is not it. The bottle wont stay connected and you have to connect it each time u want to track in the app.
If the bottle is lie down or if u r moving, it wont track accurately. So, the only way is u drink the water and u keep it on flat surface. And crazy expensive for a water bottle!!!
But it does the job for me

Amazing durable products and supportive service.

I have at least one of every product Larq has made. I have been with them since their first kickstarter for the PureVis bottle. Their products are unique, work as described, and durable. They are conversation pieces. Many of my friends and family have become customers because they liked my bottles. Their pitcher was the only one I could find in the market that removed PFOAs at the time. I travel a LOT and have trusted their bottles to provide clean and healthy water for years.

The app connection makes it fun to use and for a geek like me fun to track. It’s easy to pair and check the status of both the PureVis 2 and pitcher.

I recently had my first issue with my pitcher. The button has failed after many years of use. Their service staff immediately worked with me and took care of everything. I couldn’t be more pleased. Support this small company. It’s teams like theirs that earn and deserve your $$.

I bought the bottle in December 2024

I bought the bottle in December 2024, all has been going on well with the app tracking my usage. All of a sudden the app changed maybe through an update and it is now quite unfriendly. Why was the app changed, its now a challenge to use. I now go for days without my water intake being tracked. Wish you could simply give us back our old app.

No customer service response

Ordered a smartVis 2 drinking bottle in the Netherlands. There was a type-o in the address so the the package was send back to the sender.
Because of this I am trying to get in contact with LARQ 's customer service but they don't respond at all. Have send multiple e-mails but with no reply at all after a full week. Still waiting.

Innovative useful idea for a water bottle

The LARQ smart water bottle is a game changer for those of us that struggle with tracking our daily water intake and hydration. The bottle has a sleek design and smart features. The top contains all the technology including the rechargeable feature, the tracking and the capability to communicate with the app and notify the user. The charge lasts a long time...approximately 7 days. One feature that I really love is the self cleaning feature. The replacement filters (must be replaced every 3 months) are available on the product maker's website for $29.95 for a pack of 3... that is not too costly since I'm saving on not buying bottle water everyday and it is better for the environment and our planet.

Excellent

I switched over from Brita to LARQ (sorry Brita…). I’ve loved using the pitcher for the last month and then one day it stopped lighting up. I charged it and it still didn’t work and instead it was flashing purple. Extremely disappointed, I reached out to LARQ to see what could be done. After a few back-and-forth emails with customer service I’m happy to say a new wand is being sent to me. Excellent product and excellent customer service. I’m very happy to keep using it!

No solution from customer support while product has defect!

Bought a Larq bottle Purevis 2. Product is not tracking hydration correctly. Almost 25% of my usage is not tracked by the app/bottle. Contacted customer support and they didn’t offer any solution. Asked for help again and they replied the e-mail with the exact same answer. No warranty claim or opportunity to repair offered (is a consumer right!) Bad experience and bad customer support.

I never received the order and they are not replying to my emails

I never received the order and they are not replying to my emails. I ordered on 11th of March and they say it takes 5-7 business days to receive it. The tracking number clearly shows it has never arrived, but on my account on the website the order is marked as complete and there is no way to report an issue. I emailed them twice now, they say it can take 24 hours to receive a reply, I gave them more time before following up and still nothing. This is really upsetting as the bottles are not at all cheap...

I started using the Lara PureBis 2…

I started using the Lara PureBis 2 Smart Water Bottle and I love it.
There are so many different features I love about this bottle. I really like the fact that it has a 60 second cycle that kills 99.99% of viruses and bacteria and that gives me peace of mind.
Another great feature is this water bottle holds my water temperature cold for up to 24 hours and my hot drinks for up to 12 hours.
This bottle has a terrific battery life so I don’t have to worry about charging it often. It is easy to charge with the USB-C port.
I like that this connects to my phone and tracks my water intake easily.
I am very happy with this water bottle. The technology is above anything I have ever tried.

Clean, Simple, and Smart: My Experience with the LARQ Bottle PureVis 2

The LARQ Bottle PureVis 2 is such a cool, easy-to-use water bottle that makes staying hydrated a lot simpler. It’s built really well, with double-wall insulation that keeps your water cold for hours, and the handle is super handy for carrying it around. The best part, though, is the UV-C light that kicks in automatically every couple of hours (or when you press the button), killing germs and keeping the bottle clean without you having to think about it. Cleaning it is a breeze too, thanks to the wide opening. I also like the LARQ app—it tracks how much water you’re drinking, shows you the battery level, and lets you adjust how often the bottle cleans itself. There’s even a filter straw you can use if you want extra purification, which is a nice bonus. All in all, it’s a great bottle if you want cleaner water and less hassle in your day.

Great customer service

We couldn’t find our ideal bottles until we encountered larq’s swig bottle. Personally we decided togo without the filter nor pure vis. We had the unfortunate encounter with what looked like mold on the mouth piece gasket (we washed it often but didnt use a soft brush consistently) Reached out to larq and they took care of us really well. Loved the customer service! Now we can go back to enjoy our bottle!

In terms of price

In terms of price, it’s definitely on the higher end, so it might feel like a splurge for some. That said, if you’re someone who travels a lot or is looking for a reliable way to ensure your water stays clean and cold, the LARQ bottle could be a worthwhile investment. It does an excellent job of keeping water cold for up to 24 hours, which is great for warm weather or long days on the go.

The LARQ PureVis 2 is a cool gadget for those who want a smarter way to stay hydrated, but it might be a bit much for casual use at home. It’s a nice-to-have, but not necessarily a must-have unless you’re a frequent traveler or tech enthusiast.

I would really like to see more function for this bottle sometimes the straw makes the the volume of water you get inside too small. The bottle needs to be filled frequently to reach your goals.

Hydration Helper

I’ve been using this water bottle for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s been decent. I really like the UV-C technology—it’s such a handy feature for keeping odors and bacteria at bay. That said, it’s not perfect; if I use it for flavored water, the smell doesn’t always go away entirely. My favorite part, though, has to be the feature that tracks how much water I’m drinking—it’s such a fun way to stay on top of hydration!

The battery life is fine; it lasts for a few cleaning cycles before needing a recharge, but I do wish it could go a little longer between charges. Design-wise, the bottle feels sturdy and has a sleek look, but it’s a bit heavier than I expected, especially when it’s full. On the bright side, it keeps my water cold for quite a while, which is always a plus.

All in all, it’s a good choice for daily use, especially if you’re okay with a few quirks. If you’re after something completely effortless, though, this might not check all the boxes.

I wasn’t sure what to think of the LARQ…

I wasn’t sure what to think of the LARQ Bottle PureVis 2 but I knew I had to try it. At first I thought it was a waste of money but then I got the hang of using the app and tracking how much I drink when using the bottle and adding beverages manually. It is now my go to for hydration and I really enjoy watching the bottles lid light up after I take a drink or purify the bottle. The app is free and easy to download/install. You can shop for LARQ products or do various tasks in the app. I like the fact you can shop for LARQ products because I use a filter and will need to order every two months or so. Hydration hasn’t been easier than this!!
