Linoto designs and manufactures amazing, real linen sheets that help you sleep better, linen napkins and tablecloths that enhance your dining and entertaining events that beautify your home, and linen spa towels that rejuvenate and refresh your bath and shower experience. Most importantly, we make beautiful, soft, artisanal quality products that feel special to us and to the people who enjoy them. Linoto was started in August, 2007. Since then we have shipped more than 75000 orders to customers all around the world. What sets Linoto apart is our bold color offerings, exceptional workmanship, and the fact that all of our products are proudly made at our workshop in Westchester County in New York. We are passionate and invested in everything we make. Every item is marked on the cloth with chalk, cut with tailor shears, expertly measured, expertly sewn to the same standards as a designer dress, then washed with natural laundry soap and shipped in plastic free recycled packaging. Linoto wouldn't be possible without the skilled and hardworking technicians who cut and sew our beautiful creations at the workshop in New York. They are a like a second family to me. Some of them have been with the company since our scrappy beginnings when we were still working out of an apartment in Manhattan. Making linen sheets the right way is hard work. The fabric is very heavy, very expensive, and requires a great deal of skill to work with. It all started in 2007 when I was shopping around for real linen sheets and I was unable to find any set in a simple, modern style for less than $1000. What's more, I had to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery from Europe. I was so frustrated by my search that I decided to make my own set of linen sheets as well as a few sets for friends and family. The sheets were a huge hit and it was suggested that I set up a website and see if there was demand. I graduated with a degree in fashion design from the University of Cincinnati which has one of the best design programs in the country. We were taught very well how to make things from concept to finished product. I was very fortunate to have all of the skills and machinery required to try my ideas without large capital investments. In the first 12 months (working nights and weekends out of my home while holding down another job) I sold more than 120 linen sheet sets to customers throughout the US and abroad who were so pleased to find real linen sheets at an affordable price.Linoto has now fulfilled more than 10,000 orders to loyal customers around the world and enjoys a fabulous reputation for quality, value, and style.

Have 2 sets, would buy again
I have 2 sets of king sheets (all flat sheets, no fitted)one set seems to be better quality linen, but they are both holding up well after having one for 4-5 years and one set I got more recently (I rotate them). I find them to be a good value because they have held up fairly well. Would consider buying more and love that they are made in the USA!
Absolutely Fantastic Sheets! But quality takes time.
This is my 4th set of Linoto Sheets. I have been using them since 2021. The quality is second to none. So much heavier and substantial feeling than any other sheet ive used. Just amazing quality. While I cannot speak for any other reviewer here, I have had no issues whatsoever with getting in contact with Linoto over the past 4 years. I have called them morning, noon & evening & somebody always answered the phone. Europe has a different way of working that we do in the US, many more holidays, relaxed work environment, etc. Getting product from the mills is sure to be a struggle meeting deadlines. Yeah.... it may take 6 weeks or so to get your sheets. It can be tough to stay patient, especially as a first time buyer, shelling out the money and not receiving product quick, but it's worth the wait. I am in no way affiliated at all with Linoto, don't even know anybody there besides the person whom ive talked to over the phone a few times (can't even remember your name right now, sorry!). Just a happy customer. Also, make sure you follow the proper washing instructions. Ive found these sheets to only get better with time, but proper washing is key! Thanks Linoto!
Linoto price doesn't equal durability
I purchased these sheet 4.5 years ago with the understanding that they were "heirloom quality" because of advertising in Wirecutter and their own website. I assumed that meant durability-- what good is an heirloom that's fallen apart? However, these sheets, though thicker than other linen sheet sets, fell apart as you might expect a far cheaper set to do. To make matters worse, when I called to notify them, the person on the phone condescended to explain that sheets wear out like tires. True, but if I purchase a tire rated for 70K and it wears out after 40K of normal driving conditions (despite a higher price tag), I will have reasons to suspect manufacturer defects. Though claiming to be small-batch and concentrated on quality, the company clearly is not invested in durability or in customer concerns.
Note: these are not our only sheet set, they are in a rotation with two other sets of sheets, one of which is our winter flannel and therefore is on the bed for about three months of the year. Therefore, though aged 4.5 years, the sheets have not experienced 4.5 years of continuous use. And our washing practices follow recommendations: temperature is warm, soap is moderate.

Linoto Consistently provides quality…
Linoto Consistently provides quality linen as advertised. What a luxury ! Note that these are not mass produced off the shelf items and may take a while before they arrive. Quality may take a little time. We love the rich terracotta color.
Shipping estimates are not even close to accurate
Ordered more than 6 weeks ago. They send emails stringing you along and respond with auto replies to questions. It is apparent from the reviews that shipping times listed on their website and the email the send with confirming an order are a joke and they know it but don’t bother to send correct estimates. Can’t comment on the product but would not order again based on the communication and deceptive practices.
Edited to add: Recieved my sheets and have been using them for several months. They are indeed much better quality than the other 3 brands I have tried. So I would say worth the wait.

The BEST sheets and great customer service
I cannot for the life of me comprehend the negative reviews. We waited a few months for our custom made sheets, yes, but no longer than this little company states we would have to wait when we ordered. The sheets are simply breathtaking. Heavy, gorgeous, soft linen that keeps you cool yet so very, very cozy. We won't go back to even the best quality non-Linoto sheets. EVER. When I did call customer service about an issue with a pillow case reorder, they answered the phone and promptly resolved it (the error was mine.) Linoto is a tiny company making the highest quality products and taking care of their customers as best and as quickly as they can. Couldn't recommend more highly.
It’s more than 7 weeks now and I have…
It’s more than 7 weeks now and I have not received my sheets. Two weeks ago I called their customer service line and was assured my order was going out by the middle of the next week. Never happened. I called this past week and after a lengthy excuse was “ASSURED” my order would go out by Friday Dec 22nd. That has come and gone and no shipment email as of today. I would actually accept reasonable delays if they proactively kept me informed or offered maybe expedited shipping due to the delays, but nothing ! It’s to bad because their sheets are good quality but
I will find another provider of quality linen sheets for sure.
I have not even slept in our new sheets…
I have not even slept in our new sheets yet but I am disappointed in their business practices. They said the sheets would be 3-4 weeks, ok, I can deal with that but they didn't bother to send us a simple text that our purchase was delayed. Keeping the customer appraised of the purchases status is a good practice for heigh end purchases like this.
I ordered SOLID SAGE sheets and pillowcases as per the picture on their website. I actually received
turquois-ish blue colored sheets and pillowcases with pinkish highlights. Be sure to ask for a fabric sample before ordering one of their colors as sheets

Shredded Fitted Sheet and Terrible Response
If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I purchased their sheets in 2020 as a Pandemic gift to myself and my husband (two frontline workers). They are gorgeous, pretty well made (with a few stray threads etc here and there; I wouldn't say luxury construction, but still. Very satisfactory), and have made us very happy. But I got a rip last year in our King fitted sheet that has turned into a shredding of along one single thread. I have followed their care instructions very carefully throughout my ownership. I have sent emails and had phone calls repeatedly. They offered me a 20% discount on a new sheet, and have promised to send me linen scraps to repair, but I have yet to receive them. This was supposed to be an heirloom purchase. I am really disappointed, and am reminded what a gd waste this was every time I get into bed.

They don’t reply to queries
They don’t ever reply to my emails and messages, have messaged them thrice for the past 2 months, tried web submission and emailing the address, no reply.
I don’t know if the customer service support even exist.

I am still waiting for an order I…
I am still waiting for an order I placed two months ago. It is absolutely impossible to get a response from the company. While I can understand wait time, I cannot understand this level of poor customer service. I can only hope that I actually receive the order someday. I have not even seen a product--but already I cannot recommend the company. Highly disappointing!

Too expensive to be so flimsy
I bought a queen sheet set in August of 2020, and since the world was upside down bc of COVID I forgave the fact that it took SIX MONTHS to get my order, and the only way I got a customer service response was to slide into the Instagram account DMs. I've had these sheets for three years and they're starting to tear apart. These sheets are too expensive to fall apart after three years, particularly since I have taken extremely good care of them. Just heartbreaking...
Overpriced poor quality product
I was a big fan of Jason and Linoto. I purchased nearly $1000 worth of linen with the belief it was last a long time, at least 5 years. Fast forward to 3 years later the bed spread has torn. I read up on they having a poor supplier during that time of my purchase. I received zero apologies and for this. I explained followed the care instructions exactly and even rotated the linens out with another qset. Still no customer service. Their products do not last and they do not back them up. I thought weight was the number 1 factor in quality but weave is perhaps more important. Other cheaper, lighter brands have outlasted Linoto.
Really thoughtful packaging for starters!
I purchased a pair of linen boxer shorts. They arrived really quickly (5 days?) I have to credit this company for their amazing packaging. Not a stitch of plastic anywhere. it felt like Christmas, but without the waste! The shorts look amazing, good solid linen as described, Haven't worn them yet but am massively impressed so far.
Years Of Great Products and Great Service
The Linoto experience is great from the get-go. The website answers the basics and Jason answers any other questions not covered there. I went a little overboard after our wedding and did the whole bedroom—sheets, curtains, duvets, blankets—in a mix of indigo and natural colors. The quality is apparent from hand of the linen, to the assembly, to the day it arrives and even six years after. One of those all-too-rare experiences.
Slow but worth it!
Be aware these linens are not made quickly and are subject to slow downs in supply and manufacturing. Based on my interactions with personnel at Linoto. I waited over six months for my order and it was absolutely worth the wait. I have actually placed two more orders since my first two.
If you're looking for good quality linens Linoto is exactly that. I purchased linens from three companies, let's call one company S (think blue) and the other company P (falling from the sky). Both of those companies linens are good and their products have high and low points. There was certainly nothing wrong with either and I am happy with my purchases with both. But when I got my Linoto order, I knew I would never purchase from company S or company P again. The weight of the fabric with Linoto is far superior to the other two the flax is longer which leads to much less loss during the cleaning process and the softness is good from the start, though not as good as company S but after a few washes it has softened up nicely and is comparable.
To date I have ordered 2 fitted sheets, 4 pillow cases, 4 towels (they're amazing), and a custom quilt which I would fight for in a divorce. There isn't a single product I regret purchasing. I will say that if you're thinking about ordering from Linoto, get your order in yesterday because you're probably going to wait a bit but I promise you won't be upset by the product you get. Also, don't wait around for discounts unless you absolutely must, they're few and far between from what I've seen, which made me a little sad initially, but I'm over it now that I have some of their stuff in my home.
Also, they will send you samples if you need to verify a color prior to ordering which is immensely helpful as the actual products do vary a little from what you see on your screen.
Horrible Customer Service
I ordered a linen summer quilt in mid-April. I did the order by phone (btw--all phone conversations were with the same fellow). I was told they were backlogged and that the quilt would be shipped in 2 weeks. Two weeks later I called and I was told two weeks later. I called two weeks later because I was traveling & wanted to make sure it wasn't delivered while I was gone. O no worries I was told--It will be ready in a month. Called 3 weeks later and imagine, it will be a month longer. I asked what number I was in the queue. I was number 20. My order would ship in mid to late August. I called today, first week of August and am told that it will likely be early September. But here's the kicker--I am now min the mid 20s in the queue.
How does it happen that a month later I am now 5+ back further in the queue? The customer service fellow got a tich attitudinal (after telling me where I was in the queue) about how I must have talked to someone else because HE would never tell anyone where they were in the queue.
Look, I am not a Karen. I recognize fully that this is a luxury item and that this is a first world problem. & my life will go on without a fancy linen bed covering. But, the reason for the review is the lying. If you lack integrity in one area, you will lack integrity in all areas. I see two possibilities: 1. These folks business practice is to lie to customers or 2. They are just plain incompetent. Honestly, how can you tell someone that orders are running two weeks behind at the outset of your interaction if indeed you are running hundreds of orders behind. & how indeed did I go down in the queue after a month?
They have three weeks to complete my order than I will cancel.
Never even got my order
Ordered a set of sheets back in February that I never saw. Emailed customer support many times and always said my order would be ready soon with zero details. The last time I asked they said my order was "nearly ready" and would ship out within one week. More than that week came and went and the order never shipped. After more than 4 months I finally cancelled. Customer support called me and said my order was ready to ship - magically, after cancelling it's somehow done. I got a bunch of excuses about suppliers in Italy having problems. They wouldn't have thought I'd like to have known these details a few months ago instead of just being told "it will be ready soon!"?
At least they processed my refund quickly: only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. I'm extremely disappointed in this abuse of my trust. Should have just bought from somewhere else 4 months ago and maybe I'd have sheets by now. This is no way to run a business.

Dishonest. Pushy. Mickey Mouse.
Sheets were not delivered after 2 months. Email support request ignored. I called and was told sheets would arrive two weeks later. 3 weeks later, still nothing. I called again. Was told fabric was on back-order in Italy and would be another 4 weeks. I tried to cancel the order. Next communication: surprise, a set of sheets matching my order was found and would I like to have them? I requested it be cancelled anyway. Next communication: your order has shipped! I requested it be canceled a 3rd time. Next communication: So sorry, they're already in the mail. Are you sure you don't want them? I requested it be canceled a 4th time. Next communication: we're processing the refund and recalling the package. That was 3 days ago. I'm still awaiting the refund and the UPS package tracker shows the package on its way. I'm planning to refuse delivery and if I don't get my refund in 7 days, I'll be filing a complaint with the New York Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection.

Over 4 months later and sheet still hasn't arrrived
Ordered a single linen flat sheet on November 27, 2020. No estimated delivery date when I ordered - that seemed weird but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Credit card was charged right away. I sent them an email to ask what the rough timeline was - are we talking a few weeks or six months? Would be nice to know, because if it's six months, I'll buy another sheet in the meantime. They said "We anticipate your order to be finished and shipped by the end of January." On March 29, 2021, I get a marketing email from them with the headline "It's been a while..." - no kidding. I replied to that email to point out the irony, and then on April 2, received an email saying my order had been shipped. Now it's April 15, and I still don't have it, but maybe soon. Luckily I did buy another sheet in the meanwhile.
Long story short, I would recommend sending a donation in the same amount to a charity that supports artisanal sheet makers instead - at least you get a tax receipt.
