I struggled to find reliable translation services for some of my documents, and unfortunately I wasted money on two previous companies that did not meet my expectations. The staff are fantastic, and the Manager, Ms Polina, deserves special recognition. She is incredibly supportive, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. Lingo's service was amazing
Lingo's service was amazing - I am so glad I found them. I needed a document translated immediately and therefore booked their fasttrack services. Before commiting, I had a couple of questions - their Project Manager Polina was super helpful, friendly, took time to answer all my questions and made sure that everything happened super quickly. Translation and certification of Turkish divorce papers…
I needed Turkish divorce papers translated and certified as part of my application to be married. I had no way of distinguishing between the various online services, so I asked an AI app about reputation and suitability and went for the cheapest, not usually a good tactic but it worked out successfully and the translation was accepted. The first translation contained an error but was quickly corrected.

I’d say the service was pretty rubbish
I’d say the service was pretty rubbish, a simple EN-PT birth certificate translation had numerous mistakes, obviously translated by a non Portuguese speaker. Very disappointing, one week since submitting my document I still have not received a certified copy via the post.

Thank you for your feedback — we're sorry your experience fell short.
On the translation: your birth certificate was a handwritten document, and two of the corrections related to handwritten digits on the source (a "4" initially read as "14", and "21" vs "22" on the registration date). These were genuine accuracy slips on our side which we corrected the same day you flagged them, and for which we apologise — with certified documents, precision matters most, and we should have caught them at QA before the draft went out. The translator who handled your job is a native Portuguese speaker; the errors were proofreading misses, not a language issue.
On delivery: your hard copy was posted by second-class mail after you approved the final draft on 1 April. Second-class post can take 3–5 working days, and occasionally longer. Had you contacted us to say it hadn't arrived, we would have dispatched a replacement copy immediately at no cost — that's always our policy, and the offer still stands today if the document hasn't reached you. Please email support@lingoservice.com and we'll get another certified copy out to you straight away.

Whilst the original hard copy of the completed translation sent has never been received, after communication a second one was organised for me on special delivery.

Responsive and professional service with quick turnaround
I chose Lingo Service over a few other providers because the communication felt more personal and less transactional. I was working on a certified translation for a passport application, so clarity and responsiveness were critical.
The quoting process wasn’t entirely flawless — there was a small discrepancy in the postage cost between the initial email and the revised invoice — but this was minor and resolved quickly. What stood out was how fast and responsive the team were throughout. Emails were answered promptly, questions were addressed clearly, and the certification details were confirmed without hesitation.
The translation itself was delivered quickly and professionally, and the hard copy arrived as expected.
Overall, a reliable service and I would be inclined to use them again in the future.

Quick service but heavy review required
Quick service as a couple of times I requested translation from Greek to English and vice versa. As a native speaker of both languages I can say that the quality of the translation is very close to google translate and required heavy review and input on my side for a good result. I will think again whether I will be using the services again as I don’t think I can trust the translations for languages I don’t speak
