Setting up a company took much much longer than advertised and eventually got cancelled and refunded partly. Scam company, trying to up sell you with other services or annual services, but they are unable to deliver their basic promises.

I've been trying to set-up a BV since the beginning of January. It's been 2 months now and they are still hiding behind 'long waiting times'. It's a terrible service and I wished I just went to a notary directly, pay a bit more and get it set-up in 2 weeks, which we did with a different BV a few years ago.

Our partners and customers are now waiting on us, and it might take a total of 3 months from application to set-up. This obviously costs us way more in missed sales and opportunities. Terrible company with the slowest turnaround time, they're even slower than the government itself.

You are acting like crazy charging me for year subscriptions!!!

This was already a huge surprise in September 2024 when I was charged 145.20 euros for a year subscription with NO notice whatsoever. I tolerated that bill even though I was already in the process of canceling the subscription I was forced to use.

But here's what's really interesting: in your newly updated console, I was assigned a FREE year subscription in September 2025. I never knew about this. And then in December 2025, you hit me with ANOTHER 130 euro bill.

From beginning to end, all these subscriptions - I never knew about them, never received email reminders, and NEVER USED THEM.

Come on.

PLEASE refund my bills immediately.

Unclear communication lead to my business never getting off the ground. It has been more than a month and I still don’t have my BVs despite doing an extra package with them. They send conflicting information to what the actual notary sends.

Hard to reach. They do not take their responsibilities. They have set up two limited companies, that now both have to be redone by a real notary.

Don't be fooled. It may be cheaper, but it's not at all more convenient or quicker. Do yourself a favor and just contact a respected notary office yourself to open a B.V.. Ligo and the notary offices they work with can not live up to there promises

Scam company. I started incorporation at the middle of December and although I selected a specific notary they handed me over to a totally different one that answers once every month.
They compiled the draft of incorporation with big omissions to the activity of the company and after I requested the draft to be ammended they stopped answering.

Out of quality, speed, and pricing, Ligo focuses on high speed and competitive pricing. Their business model is designed for standard cases—zero capital, one shareholder, simple businesses—similar to a low-cost airline. Any deviation from the straightforward approach may result in additional costs and challenges.

Pricing is one of their strongest points. Speed, however, varies depending on the time of year. During the summer low season, company incorporation can be completed in about a week as happened with a friend of mine. In the high season, my application was addressed a month after submission but processed within a week after that. There is an option for priority processing, but it comes with an extra fee.

The staff I interacted with were polite and helpful, though appeared to be relatively junior. Overall, I gave them 4 out of 5 because the service met my expectations. It was affordable, and although a significant delay occurred, I planned ahead and made it on time. Throughout the process, Ligo employees were constantly available, which gave me confidence in their legitimacy. While the service has limitations, I believe they work within their model effectively.

From the very beginning, Ligo failed to deliver any tangible services. Despite numerous requests and extensive communication, there was no progress. I was repeatedly told that delays were due to their provider's bottleneck, but no actual work was ever done.After Ligo missed multiple promised deadlines, I submitted several cancellation requests.They still failed to meet the subsequent deadlines and continued to delay without providing the service I paid for. They scammed and never delivered any service... and of course never offered any refund- even a partial one.

Can I give zero stars? I have had bad experience with Ligo. They used a notary that has no experience in setting up BV’s, which resulted in big delays. Also they claim 5 working days, in the end it took four weeks…. Communication/chat was always fast in reacting, however they could do nothing except for saying that the notary will look at it, or give wrong instructions. Not recommended unless you have more than a month to register your company

Scam. After upcharging me for the English service to register as a BV while not providing the services in English, I was then subjected to a cat and mouse game of getting my documents approved, then rejected, then approved and rejected again, with more documents requested including a 20 page of questionnaire and essay writing on my business with questions such as "what are your strengths, how do you intend to use your strengths/weaknesses for your businesses". Absurd things happened such as accepting my passport but not my ID. After delaying the process and not getting sufficient support or the service I paid for - which costed a LOT, I asked for a full refund and was reassured I would get it back, but nothing. This has been infuriating to say the least, and clearly these reviews are fake. It seems to me that they just don't want to register a non-Dutch person and they are just scammers.

Ligo's service is mediocre to poor. Yes, it is an affordable option for setting up a BV, but it was not worth it. They encouraged me to set up a holding company, which I initially did not want and eventually discontinued. Fortunately, I did receive a refund on the costs I had made in setting up a holding company. 1 month, 7 emails later with excuses about ' our finance department is working on this' 6 chat messages and I still don't have a credit invoice. If it is already that difficult to create a simple credit invoice, I certainly don't trust them with the payroll processing option (which I also paid for).

Folks, don't go for Ligo. Don't go for the easy route as it will only give you a headache.

They took over €1000 from us, and said that they were unable to incorporate the company.

Rather than give a refund, they just began to ignore our emails.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had with a company.

Extremely horrible experience.

We urgently needed a company registration back in January 2023. Because Ligo's popped up on Google search, this company might provide us with fast, high-quality service. But since we opened the account, there has been no service, and nothing has been delivered; in between, we spent a lot of time asking for our money back, but there is no refund either.
They have yet to give us a refund and always has excuses about SAAS company's contract terms.

In January 2024, they even automatically charged us again for the service we never subscribed to.

We have already reported this company to KVK.
KVK advices us to report this Ligo B.V. to the Dutch Police.
We are going to the Police station this week.

I hope anybody has this scamming experience; please go to the police stations in the Netherlands to report them.

Or anybody will align on this online criminal case submission. Please work together on this Ligo B.V.!

Our organization tried to use Ligo to register as a Stichting that could apply for cultural ANBI status. We chose Ligo over the many options primarily because they claimed fast service (within 5 days), 100% online service and a 100% digital process with notaries all over the Netherlands and all inclusive on the fees. Not only did it take over a month (applied 5 October and notary appointment wasn't until 9 November even though they had all our details the day we applied) but they only allowed us to select a notary in Hengelo (we are in Amsterdam) to which they required us to go in person costly us an additional €150 in transportation costs. The notary changed their name mid-way through the process which was a red flag but then despite having contacted them by phone directly to fix issues we saw in the documents they prepared, these documents were still not fixed when we arrived to sign. The notary then said they should charge us to make the changes and that we would have to come back another time! Though they finally relented and let us sign that day, we have now been rejected for ANBI status due to how they wrote our Stichting incorporation documents - wrong. They gave us poor advice, kept saying they hadn't received info from Ligo that was provided, and now we expect additional costs to fix our incorporation documents which were prepared wrong.

Some employees don’t know what they are doing. Trying to setup a holding left me with another B.V. and no holding structure. They just closed my request! You are not informed about it until you ask a status update. I wasted a lot of money for nothing.

I have done many contracts with Ligo and they always go the extra mile to help you in the best way possible and provide concrete guidance on business matters. Thanks one more time for the great support!

Our organisation (Rotaract The Hague International) had been working as a charity for the past ten years without legally being recognised as one - meaning we couldn’t receive any of the benefits of being a PBO.
