What is ‘fibre’ vs ‘full fibre’?

Unlike a ‘fibre’ network, which may include slow, old copper wire, we have a ‘full fibre’ broadband network. This means our FTTP/FTTH (fibre to the premises / fibre to the home) network connects our street cabinets directly to your home modem using fibre optic cables all the way. This is why our network is both "hyper reliable and hyperfast".

Polite helpful and tidy

Everything went very well from start to finish, from first talking to lighting fibre about installation and any concerns I had I was completely reassured. All went very smoothly the day it was installed, the 2 men that came were neat tidy and polite and when they had finished they helped me set up my TV and phone.
Very happy with all aspects of the connection.

Just a few teething problems

Just a few teething problems, very good at answering the queries, via phone and email. Just waiting for the phone connection . However being the easter Bank Holiday, I expect this will be later in the week. Overall excellent.

It stopped working after 6 days

It stopped working after 6 days. No engineering over bank holiday weekend. Very disappointed!

Fantastic service

Andy and Ricky the technicians from Lightning were brilliant. They arrived on time and explained what would need to be done. They were very considerate of my concerns, that I didn't want a lot of extra wires running through my house. Together we worked out the best solution and they quickly carried out the work. They were very conscious to install the broadband with the least disruption and damage to the wall. All in all they did a fantastic job and I was very pleased with the service.

Quality installation installed quickly and professionally

This installation of the full fibre broadband into our house was quickly and professionally carried out by two nice, friendly,members of the lightning fibre team, …..I think they were Frederick and Georgia, and they were helpful with my questions .

Service wjth a smile

It is nice to gave a local company to supply broadband to me brilliant from start to finish especially Jess the engineer that installed my broadband was very good at her job very polite and friendly , service is very good no complaints from us.

Jess and Conor did an excellent job…

Jess and Conor did an excellent job today connecting us up to Lightning Fibre, they were very neat and tidy and explained everything once up and running, this follows initial contact with Matthew who was able take all our details and put together a great plan for the next two years.
It’s much appreciated and looking forward to having the faster speeds.

Very accommodating. Top service.

Phoned up enquiring if they would drop my price to the current advertised price on their website as I was on an older more expensive rate. The lady I spoke to was friendly and helpful, changed it without a problem. Lightning Fibre is the best provider I’ve ever used, only improvements I would like to see is an updated router to WiFi 6e/7 standard and with more than 1 2.5gbps port and offering 5gbps home package.

I telephoned to ask for advice about poor wifi in other parts of my house. The advisor was very helpful, listened carefully and suggested other options. It was quickly resolved, my tariff was changed and a booster arrived promptly. I am now very happy with the wifi coverage
