Very bad experience. Charged me twice for same subscription. Customer service is non-existent.
After buying premium, it launches some AI-like program instead of the usual one, and it calculates the values completely incorrect if you check with labels on your food. I tried getting a refund from Apple, and they wouldn't refund it. If you are considering using it, don't buy the premium version. Or even better, don't use it at all.
Bought subscription, but can already see this is not somethimg I can use. Very annoying to put data in, and meal plans are decidedly strange.
Bit it is inpossible to cancel the subscription. It says cancel via hmgoogle, but pressing canxel just opens the option to pause subscription, and from there I can't choose any options, meaning that even if I wanted to pause not even that is an option
I've been using the beta version for a while so I know that it's still being tested. With that, the app has interesting information and is a good tool for tracking calories, but is not as effective as a few of the other apps. Of course, the work is on the part of the user, not so much the app.
I haven't had any weight loss since I've started using the app years ago. I use it to keep track of calories and recall what I've eaten. The premium subscription is good, however, you have to track the actual product label with the nutrients to get the full effect of the product. I just add the food so I can see where I change my eating or calories over the past few years.
Since life amounts to something, I like tracking the calories.
After a pause of a couple of years back with Lifesum. Loved it before so intuative, so simple, so genous. Now after one day ready to give up!!??! Why make it so complicated to registre 3 meals per day, registre your favourites, add new products and meals and daily excercises. AI?? Not good enough yet. So disappointed, ready to give up. Feeling ashamed that i`ve recommeded this to others. Please listen to mine and so many others feedaback ( Trustpilot 2*????) and update to a more userfriendely app asap.
Glitchy App which doesn't save meals on the correct day or time, even after double checking dates and mealtimes prior to entry, melas jump all over the place. One day you have 3,000 Cal to go, others you have eaten multiple means on the same day?!?!?
Worse is I contacted LifeSum and they said it was a known issue, but this did not stop them from having the broken App on site for sale. Even after the latest update 20.9.0 I am still having the same issues, not worth it.
I felt the LifeSum rude and though acknowledged the errors, didn't really seem to care, like it was normal to sell an App which does more damage of people's health, then help them!
Great app, I tried more than 10 different calorie tracking apps, this is the best so far.
All I need is just to track calories, and for that, the free version works well — it's clean, with no ads or annoying popups. However, free version misses some features like adjusting calorie targets and creating custom meals. The premium version version is too expensive for my basic needs. I wish there was a cheaper option focused only on core features.
I unfortunately have to share my bad experience with Lifesum. Over the last month, the app has been functioning worse and worse. After the AI update it did function perfect for serval weeks. The most frustrating part is that the food I log does not appear in the diary, even though I have entered everything correctly.
I have contacted customer service several times and have been told that they will look into the issue. However, I have not received any further feedback after that, and I feel like I’m just being passed around with promises that they will check it out without any concrete solution.
This is completely unacceptable, and I feel it is deceitful. I cannot recommend Lifesum in its current state. I truly hope they get their issues sorted out, as this is extremely frustrating as a user.

I have read the new update that focuses on ai is frustrating for some but for me it has promoted me to reengage. I found it tedious searching food and the conflicting calorie count in database consumed to much time (as personally it drive me to start google researching for accurate counts). The ai image upgrade is amazing. Perfect is the enemy of good or in my case good enough. Click and let it count. I can’t believe how well it discerns what’s in the photo! I’m down 5lbs as a result of simple intake awareness. Thank you LifeSum!

Great at making me aware of nutrition and caloric amounts

Since Friday the 28th of February 2025, it is not possible to add anything I have eaten.
Same issue for my wife so not a local problem in my phone.
I cannot even log out. "Something has gone wrong, contact support".
Yeah, that would be great if they answered...
I am a premium user and pay for this.
The least I would expect is that Lifesum har a proper support.
At this moment this app is useless.

Really loving the new features of Lifesum, tracking is so easy now with the AI function -- I use the photo and text so often and don't have to search for every ingredient or meal to match what I'm searching for!

they promise ai tools for tracking, but no such thing in the app. what you get is oldfashioned complicated tracking - and they want you to pay a subscription for it! and then if you wanna cancel the subscription - no idea how to do it - their support is absent and confusing etc. i just wanna get out.
can‘t even log in anymore - resetting password etc doesn‘t work. so i can‘t change anything. seems like they just want your money

New update ruined the app. It’s giving me headaches now when using it. And the worst part is I payed €50 and I can’t even use it because they changed the app and it’s now unusable for me.
I have used Lifesum going on a few years. Liked picking breakfast, lunch or dinner then entering what I had eaten, and tracking calories. TODAY, Dec 19th 2024, I did the required app update. It threw me into the new version which I found "not good". It took me several hours and Google research to figure out how to get back my old views. Not friendly. Should give option to use new version instead of assume.
I have used Lifesum for two and a half years following going on medication to stop the breast cancer coming back. I’m on the tablets for five years. My medication, Letrazole, can lead to significant weight gain. The app was brilliant, far from putting weight on I lost 21lbs in the first year, 10lbs in year 2 and now have less than a stone to lose to get to my optimum weight. All due to Lifesum. But I’m leaving!!!! In the last month adds have been introduced and thoroughly spoils the efficient using of the app. What a dreadful marketing decision.
I've been trying Lifesum for a bit, and it's kinda okay but got some issues. First off, the app looks nice and it's easy to scan most foods, which I appreciate. But, and it's a big but, it's missing a lot of details on vitamins and stuff, which is important for folks like us trying to really understand what we're eating. I also found out that if someone else changes the salt value for a food, it changes for me too, which messes up my tracking since I gotta watch my cholesterol. Lastly, I got all confused with their premium accounts thing; ended up with three accounts when I was just trying to keep things simple. It's a bit of a mess and makes me think there might be better options out there.
I had ended my subscription through Google play, but was still charged for a year (€86). Extremely hard to find any way of contacting customers service to try to figure out what has gone wrong.
Amazing app. Needs a bit of polishing when it comes to micronutrients but overall it's a lifesaver!
It’s incredible how little you listen to feedback!
Why have you not implemented the option to add more meals???
This has been the single most wanted addition for years on your own support forum!
