We noticed that there is a lot of ambiguity lurking about on the Internet. We also observe that DVLA apparently charge drivers for altering their driving licences. Really?

The only information they release circa charges is when the photograph on the licence needs updating.

Any other suggestions of charges are totally nebulous and contrived.

After checking a genuine website, all the obfuscation comes trotting out. Why should I pay a fat fee for a service which is continously funded by the taxpayer.? In this scenario I am certainly struggling to glimpse the logic behind such an idea.

I do hope someone can bring this out into the open and give it a wide berth.

I’m the latest to be caught by these scammers. My bank tells me that they will start a dispute with them and I will get 90% of the £93 back. Still I’ve wasted all day hanging on the phone and writing emails to be £9.30 out of pocket at best. Not even confident about that and my overriding feeling is shame for being tricked

Ask them for a refund within 24h

Duh! I feel like a doofus, I fell for these scammers. I googled DVLA, got taken to their website and assumed I was on the DVLA website. I paid £112 instead of £34. When I realised it was a scam I called my bank to try and stop the payment and they were very familiar with this company. They said they cant raise a dispute as these fackers operate just within the law so they claim to offer a "service" applying for the licence on your behalf and have a disclaimer on their website saying they are not the DVLA. The bank advised that if you ask for a refund within 24h then by their own T&Cs they have to give you a 90% refund. They don't want to get shut down so they usually cough up apparently. Can't believe this is legal.

Feel like an idiot

Glad I'm not the only sucker here, amazing what personal details you'll readily give away when you think you're using a secure government site, how I missed the third party disclaimer I'll never know!! Did any one actually receive their licenses?? I had a confirmation email off the DVLA even after driving license plus confirmed a refund. My request in that respect was handled speedily, so I'll give an extra star for that, I just can't help feeling like I've been taken advantage off when I'm trying to juggle everything for a house move

SCAMMERS!

SCAMMERS!
Do not use this website!
I was foolish to think that this was the website to change my address for my driving licence, paid £49 to do so..

With DVLA, to change your address it is free to do so..
Requested a refund and confirmed with DVLA that my licence is legitimate.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Stupidly was fooled into thinking this was the DVLA, when it was the first entry on my Google Search of "How to update a change of address". I was charged 49 pounds for a service that is actually free. It uses the same logos and language as the DVLA. This has got to be illegal!! Do not use!!I have requested a refund.

As reviews state before deceptive and con artists by the look of things . Yes google clearly not on the ball or pretending to be in the dark .I’m Normally pretty sharp with these things but site initially very convincing . Some concerns they have details of the applicant and some payment details and useful data.Luckily the bank appears to have sussed it and rejected the payment . Will keep and eye out and put a report in to phishing / fraud team . Stay clear definitely looks dodgy !!

Don’t use

Very convincing, it looks like you are on a DVLA site to renew your driving license. I was charged £59.50, luckily enough I was able to cancel and received an email saying I would get my money back. Very concerned that they have my personal information which could be used for identity fraud. Google have a lot to answer for as the link for drivinglicenseplus is the first page you can access.

Used this company by accident when I wanted to change my address after moving home was charged £44 and when I questioned the payment on my bank as it wasn’t DVLA they advised me that not only was they taking money but also it was a subscription, so every month £44 would be took from my account i reclaimed my money back which I eventually got and my bank stopped any further money being took! If you have used them contact your bank and check if they have subscribed you unknowingly before they take money each month

Never renew using Driving License Plus

Using Google to search how to renew a driving license and the top Ad is for Driving License Plus.
They charge £58 for something that is provided for only £14 by the Gov web site.
Just be aware - only apply on line using the gov.uk website.
Google itself should be investigating companies like this - never mind the revenue, think of the people you are hurting by aiding and abetting a scam. Also notice that they have more than one name and act in a similar fashion for TV renewals.

Scamming good people out of hard earned money

Just had a letter from the TV licensing company... I don't have a TV licence despite paying £175 for one in January.

Great!!... So now I have to buy another genuine TV licence which I can't afford.

Website was so convincing I had no idea it was a scam... I just wish this doesn't happen to others

Scam

Scam, it fools you into thinking you are on DVLA as comes up first in search. Should be illegal and shameful in these really tough times. Ads should not be allowed at the top of search results as completely fool people. Shameful and shocking!!!!!

Scam. Just found out I don't have a TV license when I believed I had paid it in January. Cant afford to pay twice but as the website only has a statement about refunds I am not holding out my hope.
