Never again !!
Never again !!! Flight cancel at the departure, rerouting with an arrival delayed by more than 12h ! No hotel planned ! No food vouchers!!! Nobody at the airports to assist!!! Even if you are in Business and a Star Alliance Gold member, you are nothing for LH !!!!!

i booked round trip tickets to fly with lufthansa through cheaptickets.de... i ended up stranded in sri lanka with no return flight. i had to repurchase my ticket just to return home. i contacted lufthansa and they refused to refund me the money. they are rude, disrespectful and crooks. do not use cheaptickets.de or lufthansa airlines. you will end up stranded and screwed.,,,,,,
Zero Stars
I would give them 0 stars if I could. Horrible customer service!!! Disgusting, rude, mean, barbaric people!!! Worst airline EVER!!! They are a bunch of Nazis. Do not waste your money on this airline. It is cheaper for a reason. You pay for what you get.
Getting worse services and often delays…
Getting worse services and often delays in LH flights. I would not recommend Lufthansa anymore. The customer service on-board is also very poor !
Omg!
Omg!! How can Lufthansa launch such a bad app!!!! If it was a 5$ silly game that's one thing, but to expect passengers to use a bad app like this and spending between 2000-5000 Euros on a ticket is disgusting!! If you cannot provide a decent app, then don't! If Lufthansa can't get it right with a simple app, then I am not confident about their flights and other "services" iether.
Worst airline. I will avoid whenever I can
I want to give my feedback regarding the flight from Paris to Munich at 18:10 on 29th of April which was 1 hour and 52 minutes late. The staff in the gate managed this situation terribly. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER I knew the flight was late because of the emails I received but the ladies at the counter did not say anything they kept coming and going so they wouldn't have to face the public, no information about the reason for the delay, no visibility about the departure time.
I had planned to eat in the airport but because of the multiple delays I decided to eat on the plane. Surprisingly this particular plane had NO food!! First time I'm on a plane with no food on board
I had a layover in Munich and with all the delays I was not sure I was going to make it. They said somebody in Munich would take care of the the people going to Tbilisi. First of all in the flight they gave information about all the connections except mine, when I arrived to Munich there was nobody I had to dash to make it to my flight.
Today I took the flight LH2559 it was supposed to be at 5:10 it is 6am and we are just boarding once again no information about the delay, it said the flight was late 35 min but as you can see it's way more than that.
I know I'm not getting any compensation but I do want to leave a statement that Lufthansa's service is TERRIBLE TERRIBLE whenever I can I will for sure choose another airline because it seems like yours does everything to be the worst
I understand you do everything in your power to maintain flight schedules as you say and I know it is not always possible but for the love of Christ just communicate to the passengers what is going on, have a minimum of respect and at least pretend you make an effort to provide good service
Unrecorded Transfer and Unexpected Charges - A Disappointing Experience
As a frequent flyer and a long-time patron of the airline, it’s with great disappointment that I find myself compelled to write this review. My journey on April 1st, 2024, from Stockholm Arlanda to Innsbruck, via a connecting flight to Munich followed by a bus transfer, was the beginning of an unforeseen ordeal. Despite an initial flight delay threatening my connection, communication with the bus driver reassured my transfer to Innsbruck, or so I thought.
To my dismay, when preparing for my return on April 4th, 2024, I found my booking vanished from the system. Customer service informed me that my bus registration from Munich to Innsbruck was never recorded—a bewildering claim given my presence in Innsbruck. The resolution offered? Rebooking at my expense, leading to an unexpected charge of €329.24 for a journey I had already paid for. Weird concept even if I had not been on the bus - let’s just cancel the whole journey you paid for, nice one.
This incident is about the financial inconvenience; it’s also about the frustration stemming from what appears to be a significant lapse in communication or a system error. With this review, I am seeking not just a refund but a commitment to preventing such errors in the future.
I hope for a swift and satisfactory resolution, not just for myself but to restore my faith in a service I’ve long supported.

Disappointing Experience with Lufthansa - Lack of Customer Service and Safety Concerns
My recent travel experience with Lufthansa was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, the journey was riddled with issues that left me deeply dissatisfied and questioning the airline's commitment to customer service and safety.
Firstly, despite selecting specific seats during the booking process and receiving confirmation from MakeMyTrip, I arrived at the airport to find that most of the seats were not assigned. Multiple attempts to rectify this with Lufthansa were futile, leading to additional charges during web check-in for seats I had already paid for.
The troubles continued when our flight was canceled due to a collision with a food truck, causing significant delays and forcing us to accept an inconvenient alternative with transit visa requirements we were unprepared for. The lack of communication and assistance from Lufthansa staff during this time was appalling, leaving passengers stranded and confused.
Upon our return flight, a rough landing resulted in an interior panel breaking loose and injuring me. Despite notifying cabin crew immediately, their initial response was dismissive, and it was only after insistence that the matter was taken seriously.
Adding insult to injury, at Frankfurt airport, we were rudely confronted by a Lufthansa crew member and asked to vacate a waiting area, mistaking us for passengers of a different flight.
Overall, Lufthansa's disregard for customer satisfaction and safety was abundantly clear throughout my journey. I urge potential travelers to exercise caution when considering Lufthansa for their flights, as my experience has left me with serious reservations about ever flying with them again.
Lufthansa bad service
We had a flight from Victoria Falls to Frankfurt with Lufthansa in Business Class, the seats for both my wife and myself had an engineering problem with the comfort mode which would not operate so we had to sit on a hard frame for the flight, both the Captain and the Purser put an entry in the log.On our return we put in a request for compensation with customer services, at this time we have sent 7 emails and had no response on 2 occasions we telephone and had the telephone put down by customer services. This is the worst service I haver ever experienced by a airline and would not fly with them again.
Worst Check in staff I ever interacted…
Worst Check in staff I ever interacted with. My ticket was changed from Zurich airlines to Lufthansa and then first of all they mentioned on the ticket after changing the booking that I have baggage added to the booking. Upon going to check in at the counter they said you don't have baggage in your booking and said it might be a glitch that you have seen baggage with booking when the flight was changed. Totally nuisance, forced me to pay for the bag even when the glitch was at their end. Secondly they don't let me check in online because they want to check visa first, atleast they should allow to have seats chosen, me and my child seat were allocated at two different place even after we were on the same pnr, and when I requested for the change of seats she mentioned flying is a privilege and congratulations you have a seat to fly with. No way flying with Lufthansa again, they don't train their staff at all with any etiquettes.
They don’t care about you
We where the first ones at the gate and we had bought tickets long in advance. But they still booted us off the plane, due to them having overbooked it.
Horrible service on any level
I would like to share my bitter experience with Lufthansa, which began with my arrival from Denmark via Munich to Sofia Bulgaria on the 4 th of August 2023, with 2,5 hours delay and no luggage, any way my luggage arrived the next day, and I traveled 400 km back and forth in a rent a car ( for which Lufthansa refused to cover the expenses) so I can get my luggage (including hand luggage which I was asked to give for check in in Denmark). Any way me, and my family spend 20 wonderful days in Bulgaria, where we all enjoyed our summer holiday. The true nightmare began on our way back home to Denmark. We were supposed to fly to Denmark via Munich again. We checked in 2 hours before the flight ( where again, I was asked by the crew to check in my hand luggage, as there was according to them, too many passengers and won’t be much room at the plain.I agreed on that , as they assured me I will get my suitcase on arrival. One hour before the departure all passengers on the flight were informed that it will be a 45 minutes delay on the flight ( scheduled departure was for 19.35 local time). Any way we all stood there and waited, and waited, and waited. The pain arrived like at 20.35 local time and we had to wait another 40 minutes for the passengers to get out of the plane and the crew to clean it. At 21.15 we were finally on board, meanwhile I was assured by the crew, that we won’t miss our connection flight, as for some reason, the flight between Denmark and Germany, was also delayed, according to their information. So from 21.15 till 21.45 we waited in the plain, no one was offered food or beverages even the delay was now more than 2 hours. I asked again at some point the flight attendant to check again for our connection flight if there is any updates, if we will really make it ( I still wait for her to come back with a response). Finally we landed in Munich, the pilot informed that they have no information regarding any of the passengers with the connection flight, so we all were on our own. That was at 22.50 CET. We were kindly informed by the border patrol that the only working Lufthansa service center at gate H, and it’s closing at 23.00. We ran from terminal A to H to get to the center, and thanks on the good will of the staff which stayed over time, we manage to get vouchers for a hotel and taxi. Meanwhile I received a message from Lufthansa, that my reservation was rebooked for the 27 of August 2023, for a flight ar 17.30 from Munich via Frankfurt to Denmark. Somehow I managed , after spending all night on the line with the call Center of Lufthansa to get on a direct flight from Munich to Denmark at 11.00 the 27 of August 2023. We were meanwhile assured by everyone who assisted us that our luggage will be automatically transferred for our flight to our final destination. So we made it home to Denmark. And here is where the sum of my fears became reality. No luggage. Of course we filed a complaint, and waiting time begin. I call every single day twice at least, and several time they even lied to me that the luggage will arrive by the end of the day. It’s horrible and they don’t really care about that we need our things. The real problem actually was my hand luggage ( taken from me at the check in due to too many passengers on the plane) which is actually having my laptop in ( with a working files) as well as other things like jewelry, and my optics. My work is suffering a great deal, because of them and their lack of support.
Saturday the 2 of September 2023, I’ve decided to make a claim online for compensation for the delay. Few days later I received a response which was basically saying “ It’s not going to happen, we just had a meeting “, the email was without any reason for the rejection. I have send a second one, where I asked for details regarding their decision, and just few days ago I got a response, again without a reason, and a new rejection. On day 18 of our arrival the 13 of September 2023,we finally received our 3 suitcases. 2 of them completely molded, one of them even broken, and clothes and shoes, as well as laptop all totally damaged from being wet and molded . The third one completely wet like it was drawing in a swimming pool. Our luggage which we paid for to be transported, and protected by Lufthansa, turned to be destroyed, improperly stored, resulting to an absolute and total damage of private property, under the possession of Lufthansa.
After having changed my tickets 2…
After having changed my tickets 2 times prior my holidays (which was managed somehow quite well), I am now fighting with Lufthansa to get my luggages .
I came back from a flight with Lufthansa on the 9th of August.
Right after arriving, I was informed that my 2 luggages were delayed due to a very short lapse of time we spent in Frankfurt.
I followed the instructions on the Lufthansa website (pretty easy and well done) and created a file for our 2 missing luggages.
Few hours later, I was informed that my luggages had been given to a transport company and that I shall be delivered soon.
However, since then, I have had no news from the transport company (10 days later !!!!). I dropped several emails through the Lufthansa website, as advised by the lost luggages call center and each of my requests have been denied & closed as " we have given your luggages to the company, it's none of our responsibility anymore".
We are now over 11 days and still no updates from the transport company that has never tried contacting me.
Since then, I am calling on the daily basis the "Lufthansa luggages call center".
They don’t want to share any info on the transporter ( seems they don’t even know) and when I ask where I are my luggages in Paris so I go on my own to collect them, no info.
They closed my case, don’t answer the phone… very very disappointed by the way they handle customers and solve (or I should better say, not solve) issues for which they are responsible .
Flying with Lufthansa when everything is ok is fine but as soon as there will ve an issue, you will be left all alone. Good luck
My flight was "overbooked" so they…
My flight was "overbooked" so they canceled my seat in the plane. They put my on another plane and I was 11 hours late to destination. They promised me compensation, but no compensation. They play dirty games and give you telephone nr which does not work, Are they criminals?? Sometimes when you call customer service they hang up to get rid of you? They never solved my problem!! Dirty company, which plays dirty games. Worst contact ever with a air company.
Baggage was left out in the rain, covered in mold, all belongings destroyed, still waiting for reimbursement nearly 2 months later
I’ll start by saying I understand things happen. A few years ago, I had a flight cancellation during a layover in London as I was flying to the States for Christmas. British Airways kept us fed, gave us hotel vouchers and shuttled us directly to the hotels overnight on dedicated buses. The hotel front desks helped us all with rebooking. It was a bad moment that was recovered by exceptional Customer Service.
Fast forward to this past Christmas holiday when we had a flight cancellation in Munich during a layover. Lufthansa’s Service Desk line was (no joke) 10+ hours long. Airport staff were rude and refused to answer questions. They handed out pamphlets with QR codes that led to no actual information (lots of vague language). If you called the Lufthansa phone number, we were told that they couldn’t help us and that we needed to go to the Service Desk with any questions. An intercom voice told passengers to go find a hotel out-of-pocket for 150 euro or less, and that expenses would be reimbursed. Weird, but sure.
Rebooking was a nightmare. Their chatbot couldn't handle the user volume and kept crashing. On the phone, they refused to put us on the same direct flight for the next day, even though there were plenty of seats. Instead, we were booked on a 7am flight with a new layover in Frankfurt (which was also having a meltdown). When we arrived in the morning, our Frankfurt flight was so delayed that we would miss our connecting flight. So (surprise!) we were then booked on the afternoon flight we’d originally asked for. We were stuck in the airport for HOURS. Why put us through that? Then on the flight, they only served us one meal (“due to short staff”). Huh? Ok.
Then… they lost our bags! They lost our two carry-ons (that we were forced to check) and we didn’t get them back for two weeks. We had to go out and buy everything—makeup, underwear, pants, nice clothes for the holidays. We racked up quite a bill! And then (the worst part!) they finally returned our large checked bag 3 weeks later after NYE… soaking wet and covered in mold. All of our belongings were destroyed. How this happened and how they thought this was acceptable is beyond me. Staff members must have noticed the bag was soaking wet. When it was delivered to our front porch, there was a puddle under it.
Now onto the worst part. We have filed multiple claims, meticulously itemized everything, input information into each individual cell of their tedious online claims forms. This has taken us hours. And then? Nothing. Radio silence. It’s been nearly 2 months. Nothing has been reimbursed. The only response I’ve gotten is from a CS person responding to an email I wrote asking for an update on my Claim reimbursements. They told me that they can’t compensate me for anything because I didn’t include all of the receipts in the email. What? I included all of the Feedback IDs, which are connected to all of that information. Like… what is happening?
There is no way to properly contact Lufthansa, except to submit “feedback” into a form that no one responds to. Their poor Social Media team is fielding all of the customer anger and frustration because of this ridiculous claims system (it must be awful for their Support team, too. Honestly, I can’t imagine how angry some people must be getting). But there is literally NO OTHER WAY to get in contact with Lufthansa employees. We’ve spent hours on hold on the phone to be told “they can’t do anything” and that we “need to submit this all to their Feedback Form". There is no way to see the status of your claims—or even see which claim corresponds with which Feedback ID. There was no Claims receipt copy, so I’m not even sure I filed everything for all of my claims. Because I can’t see any of it!
TLDR: Lufthansa wrecked our Christmas holiday, destroyed our belongings and owe us a large sum of money… and yet. For some reason, they won’t get back to us. :-/
Folks—Never fly this airline. It is a Kafkaesque nightmare. But hey! Maybe someone at Lufthansa will read this and finally get back to me :-) (haha)
Happy New Year, Lufthansa. Hope your holidays were swell.
Whenever things get rough, I feel safe flying with Lufthansa.
I have recently experienced a flight cancellation during a stopover in Frankfurt due to congestion and bad weather.
I have been immediately rebooked onto the next flight and refunded of all expenses (hotel, dinner and extra parking fees at my destination airport, Venice) within few days.
Whenever things get rough, I feel safe flying with Lufthansa.

Bunch of thieves! Cancelled my flight from Porto to Stockholm and never refunded my money. It's been 6 months.

My flight got cancelled and we asked for a full refund. In theory they did it in their system, but it'd been more than 2 months since then and we haven't gotten our money back, around 1500$. I called dozens of times to customer support and they are completely useless and just say to wait.
Awful Booking Process
I'm not sure I even have the willpower to complete a flight booking. After taking forever navigating the most needlessly complicated booking form, I THOUGHT I'd booked a flight. But noooooo I've reserved a flight for £27, which I now have to confirm separately otherwise it gets cancelled and I loose the £27. Except now the site won't take my money. Considering walking to Munich.
The flight itself was good but the…
The flight itself was good but the delays appalling never travel through Munich airport the worst experience ever.
