Whenever I try to see what's coming up…

Whenever I try to see what's coming up later in the day on our 4 year old LG NANO 55 inch, all I get is No Information, especially on the LG channels. For the local channels, I have to click on each one until it loads then I can see, sometimes, what is coming up later. I am NOT going to open each and every channel hoping it will load the info I am looking for, like scheduled shows coming up on the same day. I must say, it has been an exercise in futility trying to get a glimpse of shows coming up on any given day. Frankly, if I can help one potential customer by letting them know what's in store for them then this review will be a success. When the time comes to replace this LG TV we will certainly NOT be buying another LG, there must be better brands out there that do not frustrate their customers like LG does. Buyer beware of LG.

I do wish that I had read these reviews…

I do wish that I had read these reviews before buying this TV (50UR78006LK).

My gripes are the same as most others reported on here.

Sometimes the program guide works well other times it takes an absolute age to load or locks up completely.

The freeing up memory message comes up even though only used on terrestrial tv says closing down to free memory then closes down ad infinitum. Only way to stop it is turn off at mains and back on.

Really poor from LG. Will never buy again.

What is more annoying is that it seems that these issues could be fixed with a software update but LG do not appear tb be bothered.

I bought an LG Oled 55A26LA TV based on…

I bought an LG Oled 55A26LA TV based on what we thought was a good reputation for electronic goods BUT it is definitely the worst TV we have ever owned. Its navigation menu is difficult, very slow, full of apps (we haven’t put any on it’s just what it came with).
The TV guide does not load 75% of the time, the screen regularly goes black then comes up with something to the effect of “freeing up memory”.
We paid good money for this TV about 18 months ago but it is so bad we are considering replacing it with a different make of TV.
Don’t make our mistake - steer clear of LG Televisions, they are a complete waste of money.
PS. We also bought an LG Thin Q GSLA80PZLF refrigerator and that is also a very expensive, poorly designed item too, spills the ice everywhere and often sounds like there are mice moving around inside it.

This new tv has put me of LG..

This new tv has put me of LG... not the quality I expected 😕 annoying storage messaging pops up, I've never had this on a TV before. It was easy to set-up. TV looks good with white frame but came with very flimsy stands, I've had it wall mounted, even though this TV was cheaper than my previous one, I don't believe its worth the argos asking price. I think the reviews are fake, best to pay more for a decent TV. The remote I'm not keen on either, I was watching a program a slight touch of the middle ball button and lost what I was watching 😳 picture quality okay but not as good as Panasonic, which LG is supposed to be similar in their TVs, through research. One of the reasons I purchased the LG along with argos glowing reviews. I wouldn't recommend.

I really dislike my entire experience…

I really dislike my entire experience since buying my LG TV. It always annoys me with questions about "do i want to clean the pixels"... "you have to tick the box to allow the new user agreement"... "the software will be updated... you have to restart your TV" etc etc etc.

When i turn on the TV i can't go quickly to my amazon fire stick because LG are always loading preview clips of some promotional video that i never asked for. only when the promotional trailer video is playing can i select my amazon fire stick. 50% of the time my utube goes dark and i have to go back to the home screen to choose my fire stick again... but of course i have to wait for some action film trailer to load up first.

I'm thinking about just throwing it away and starting again with a new TV.

I will never buy another LG product as long as i live. Worst and most annoying TV i've ever owned.

Worst TVs ever

Worst TVs ever. Buy anything else but LG. Confusing, unresponsive, errors, forget about the apps you might want, it's webOS so no Kodi or anything from Google play store. So many other problems detailed in other reviews. Beyond frustrating to the point of being soul crushing. If you bought a LGtv already, you have my condolences. Total waste of money.

Bought OLED48C 45L in august 2024, it gets worse

Bought OLED48C 45L in august 2024. The remote control is awful, It jumps here there and everywhere and inevitably opens LG tv. Scan through for an app., guaranteed it will not open first time, press retry and you go back to the home screen and need to go through it all again. When it does open you will go through 4 adverts. At times the remote is so bad and after a stressful day, the temptation is to launch the remote at the TV, but this will probably open LG tv and another batch of adverts.
Press Pause and walk away, you will find it has restarted whilst away and is impossible to rewind, failing that it has crashed and some laughing gremlin is on screen with writing 'this programme has been interrupted by a technical stitch' ?? perhaps that is meant to be funny? more likely LG laughing at you for buying the rubbish.
Updates can be done whilst viewing TV, don't expect ANY improvements, it is likely a fresh batch of adverts to shove in your face and earn LG more money.
Seriously....DON'T buy, avoid a nervous breakdown.

Worst TV i ever bought

Worst TV i ever bought! This shouldn't be called a smart TV it should be a dumb TV because it does nothing to make searching easy. It's impossible to find any channel on this pos! It has channels listed like no other TV has and it's such a bad TV no matter how many times I try it can never find a simple search for anything. I.e. live hockey game going on that night, I tried all the channels I know it's aired on like CBS or NBC or channel 39,none are recognized by LG so it can't find them. Then I would make search easier, show me all live hockey games going on right now and nothing ever comes up. The voice option never works right and says try again later. Worst TV we ever bought. I will never buy LG again!!! I contacted LG too, useless as the TV.

Worst TV I have ever come across.

Awful TV. You have to be careful pressing buttons on remote or you get cannoned off into LG TV.........with very difficult return to normal. It is too complicated for oldies. I will soon put my slipper through the screen. Most awful product I have bought in a long time. Currys recommended it for sat decoder. Never again.
Avoid these LG TV's at all cost.

Please don't buy, you will regret it.

2nd day, without changing our adding anything, tv was telling me that there wasn't enough memory to use apps? Then had to wait while it tried to make space, half an hour later it does it again. Software on my other LGs have been great, this new one is driving me crackers and will be my last one.

Absolute rubbish tv

Absolute rubbish tv, buffering all the time slow to open apps. Tried everything. When can finally open app to stream if any advert then the buffering just carries on and on and on and never get programme to restart. TV doesn't recognise wifi password when it disengages from Internet at random even though other devices still connected. I never have this problem with my panasonic tv. I've set a date but this has gone on gor months now. A complete waste of money....don't buy LG

Asked to tick ALL boxes of 'User Agreement'

I am now being asked to tick ALL boxes of a 'User Agreement'. If I don't tick them ALL I am unable to connect to 'catch up' programmes... including Netflix which I subscribe to. Surely this must be illegal. I informed Netflix so they are now aware of this. I have an LG/Smart TV and am really angry. Have tried to report this to LG but website is not easy to get help on.

Garbage!

I recently bought an LG tv to to replace my Sony 49 inch Bravia which was a fantastic TV...very user friendly, fantastic picture and great upscaling. This TV is the opposite a complete load of -----! I can't even believe that you could make a more frustrating TV if you tried. I paid £400 for it 4 weeks ago and I'm currently trying to sell it for £200 with no offers so far. Next week, I'm going to advertise it free to good home or give it to a charity shop...it really is that bad! Rubbish

Absolute trash

Absolute trash! Most of the apps I like to use aren’t available such as NBA, Directv and many others. If you purchase an LG tv dont be fooled by the WebOS & LG content. Just get a media streaming device like a Firestick, AppleTV or Roku. Save yourself a ton of frustration. LG content is crap!
