SCAM

They were booked to arrive between 1 and 2 pm.
I called twice yesterday to confirm. It’s now 2:10 pm and nothing. No call no warning.
I’m on the phone with their automated message for the past 30 min and no one picks ups

Moving Nightmare!

If I could give zero stars, that’s what this company deserves. First of all, I used the LGM Peterborough branch. They are not a Peterborough company, like they claim to be. The address is a storage unit. They arrived 45 minutes late from Ajax. They charge you by the hour and move so slowly. My three bedroom home which only had one bedroom set, took almost 5 hours to pack. They scratched my handrail, scuffed the walls, then scratch the hardwood flooring and tried to pull off that it was already there. When speaking with the supervisor, he tried to swindle a $200 discount. My realtor came to assess the damage, took pictures and got an estimate from the flooring company which then they said the damage was over $1000. I also had to get a friend's truck and trailer and load the rest of the furniture they said wouldn't fit in the truck. When unloading, I had everything marked which room it was going in and they just put boxes wherever and I had to move them into the right rooms. I had to remove all the plastic wrapping. Then they refused to move furniture into the basement, saying that it wouldn’t fit. They didn’t even attempt it! When 80% of the truck was unloaded, they stopped working. They were advised by the supervisor, that I had to accept and sign a waiver with the agreed amount of $1700. He was then arguing with me about the cost of the damages. I had to call the police to get the rest of my belongings unloaded. They still refused to unload, so I jumped into the truck and started unloading the boxes myself. They charged my credit card without my authorization! Once they got their money, they put the rest of the furniture into the garage and left. I had to hire another moving company to move the furniture into my basement, which they had no issues getting it in the house! The customer service and head office are rude and they pay with gift cards for their 5* reviews.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

UPDATE: In response to Let's Get Moving the "head office/ general manager" continues to bribe me to accept their offers so long as I take down my reviews across multiple platforms! I refuse to accept any money as I believe these reviews are to inform other customers and let them make informative decisions. The head office continues to place blame on the local manager but it's the same person from head office I was dealing with in the beginning that was rude and bullying!
RESPONSE: A stolen move? Do you hear what you are saying? This is exactly the experience the consumer needs to see! First of all, the police were involved and told your men to remove MY belongings from the truck when your company tried to hold it RANSOME for not paying the bill, when only 3/4 of the truck was unloaded! They told you that was ILLEGAL and THEFT! My pregnant realtor and myself had to go in the truck and start unloading MY belongings. SECONDLY, you charged my credit card WITHOUT my authorization and I disputed the charge! THIRD: It is freedom of speech which forums I can post!
This is a perfect example of the SHADY company people are dealing with if they choose your company!

YOU HAD OFFERED TO PAY $300 FOR A $1700 DUE TO A FLOOR SCRATCH NOT COVERED FOR FULL REPAIR BY OUR COMPANY; BUT REFUSED TO PAY AND HAD YOUR FAMILY MEBERS STRONG ARM THE MOVERS, AND FORCEFULLY TAKE ITEMS OUT OF THE TRUCK.
A SCRATCH ON A FLOOR DOES NOT INDICATE THAT THE COMPANY HAS TO GIVE YOU A MOVE FOR $300 WHEN AN ENTIRE HOUSE WAS MOVE; ALL DUE TO A SCRATCH THAT YOU FELT THE COMPANY SHOULD COVER OUT OF THE TOTAL COST OIF WHAT YOU OWED THE COMPANY.

WE HAVE TRIED TO ASSIST YOU MARISSA BUT YOU HAVE NOT BEEN COOPERATIVE WITH US AND STOLE A MOVE FROM THE BRANCH WITHOUT PAYING ANYTHING FOR THE MOVE AND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS FORCED THEIR WAY ONTO THE TRUCK TO REMOVE ITEMS FORCEFULLY AND IS CONSIDERED THEFT OF SERVICES.

We were so satisfied with the service. Very efficient and respectful crews. Clear from preparing our items to ‘ final delivery was perfect. Very informative through clear and lucid updates all the times. Very nice and easy going that made a very smooth and easy process as a whole

The team that prepped our stuff did a very thorough job with great attention to ensuring everything was well protected. The team that loaded the truck was highly skilled and executed purposefully. We were amazed at how perfect they tried to get every detail and how much they were concerned with our satisfaction.

Their knowledge and systematic approach made the shifting very easy. We really appreciated the regular check-ins and fast communication, keeping us in the loop. Everyone we interacted with was positive and supportive, making it a good day.

We highly recommend them for great service and fine work. A crew you can trust and will go above and beyond to bring impeccable results. Whether any distance relocation needs to happen they are the best one to make the process very easy.

This company is like no hassle

We used the 3225 Lenworth Dr

We used the 3225 Lenworth Dr. location.
On October 17th Nick came out to our 3100 sq', 4 bed, 3 bath house. We were quoted 3 trucks and 7 movers at 695.00 per hour and 795.00 for the piano movers built into the crew. This move started on Thursday, October 24th it took them 2 days, 5 trucks, and 10 movers. On Thursday after the piano was put on the truck the movers tried to take my husband's work tools after he told the movers not to take them. This became an excuse and reason to demand that my husband not be present. After being paid in full on Friday, October 25th @ $13,198.35 the movers arrived at the new house, saw my husband as he was leaving with the dogs and decided that they weren't going to offload the trucks. They conferred with each other didn't say a word got back in the trucks and drove off with our belongings.
A few days later we received an email demanding 12,000.00 cash for storage and delivery. I obtained a loan for 15,000.00 to pay them out. They agreed to only bring 2 of the 5 trucks. When I tried to take them up on their offer of 6,000.00 on Thursday for 2 trucks and 6,000.00 on Friday for the other 3 trucks they took that offer off the table and said that 12,000.00 would only pay for 2 trucks to be delivered.
On Thursday, October 31 I asked an OPP officer to be present. The movers and 2 trucks arrived. They were demanding the impossible, I would only be able to e-transfer 12,0000.00 and a 644.00 service charge for the e-transfer. When I offered the money in cash they refused it. As we all know you can only e-transfer a maximum of 10,000.00. I e-transferred 6322.00 to have 2 trucks unloaded. The police officer told the movers that they must unload both trucks before they leave and I agreed the I would pay the other 6,000.00 on Friday, November 1st as I was unable to pay that amount in e-transfer as the amount was maxed. After this agreement and the officer took their names and my name. The officer warned them that if they leave without completing their job they would be charged with theft. He then left because of his sergeants commands.
They emptied one and I observed the movers becoming lethargic and it appeared they were slowing down. They emptied one truck. We took photos. The one movers asked me to pay the other 6,000.00 and I said that I couldn't because I had a limit of 10,000.00 for e-transfer and I had already paid 6322.00 therefore, I can't pay out anymore than 3788.00. The one mover was texting back and forth with somebody at the office. A few minutes later they walked toward the trucks and I warned them that if they left they would be charged with theft as stated by the police officer. This clearly wasn't effective as they mounted their trucks and left. Doing the math my husband and I have paid to date 19,520.35 and have only received 1 truck offloaded.

Due to threats of violence from your husband Irwin, the crew did fear for their safety and had to come back multiple times to non-payment, as per your contract.

There is currently a balance owing of over $20k that has not been paid.

This matter is now being pursued and handled legally.

2 bedroom residential move

We hired Lets Get moving to move our 2 Bedroom apartment and were very satisfied with the service. They were timely, professional and took great care of our belongings. I appreciate the straight forward pricing structure. 10/10! Highly recommend. Would hire again!

Update on my experience

So I'm editing my original review... There were some issues with the movers themselves...how they conducted themselves and decisions they made which caused property damage.... but after lengthy discussions for 6 months ... this company followed up with the damage when I asked, they did a full investigation..... Removed the movers and totally overhauled the Montreal staffing as it was found they were not following any of their procedures. And they reimbursed for the amount I asked no questions. So the way they dealt with the situation does deserve the 5 review. They definitely shown they take these things seriously. While the original dealings were less than favourable....they did step up and rectified the issue.
