We launched a fundraising campaign today and raised nearly €200 within just a few hours. In the middle of this momentum, the money pot was suddenly frozen – without any prior notice, without any explanation. All we received was a vague message stating the review could take up to 48 hours.
After reading other reviews here, I seriously wonder whether we’ll ever see the money. For a platform that presents itself as a professional crowdfunding provider, this kind of behavior is simply unacceptable.
The beginning of a campaign is the most critical phase. Hundreds of people shared our cause – and now, all of it leads to a dead end. The damage is immense. The trust built with our supporters is now severely shaken. And whether we can recover that support is more than doubtful.
This isn’t just unprofessional – it’s flat-out irresponsible.
I strongly warn anyone considering Leetchi for fundraising: don’t do it.
Follow-up after Leetchi’s response (Note: there is 2 trustpilot accounts for Leechi, the other one with a 1.4 rating!)
What I find even more concerning is that Leetchi responded to a public review faster than to an urgent email sent to customer support. Instead of providing a solution, they redirected me to another Trustpilot account with better ratings – rest assured, I’ll share my experience there as well.
It’s now been over 48 hours. The account is still frozen, the funds still withheld, and I’ve received no reply whatsoever. Yes, there may have been a public holiday – but there was plenty of time before and after to process a time-sensitive case like this.
No matter what happens next, the damage is done. Our campaign – created for a meaningful purpose – is now effectively useless. We lost a full day just trying to explain to supporters why the donation link didn’t work, desperately trying to maintain trust. All for nothing.
I am willing to reconsider and even remove this review – but only if immediate and transparent action is taken to reactivate the campaign. Anything less will further erode the credibility of your platform.
It’s a shame that public pressure seems to be the only thing that gets a reaction.

very limited payment options
The site is user friendly. However, just the option of MasterCard and/or Visa is really not adequate.
More payment options, creditcards like AMEX or JCB and definitely the use of PayPal.
