This is the real deal!

I've been a teacher, youth leader, and little league football coach for decades (besides raising 3 kids of my own!). That doesn't make me an expert, but it does mean I know value when I see it. Dr. Warren's course is the real thing. I nodded and smiled many times while working through the models, recognizing elements of not only my students, but myself! I also learned many new, useful things about neurodiversity, and how we learn. The course doesn't just dump information on you, it instead shows you, in fun and intuitive ways, strategies and techniques that you can use right away with clients of all ages.
I highly recommend this course to coaches, teachers, and parents!

A Clear Bridge from OT Experience to Executive Function Coaching

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Erica Warren’s Executive Functioning Coach Certification course.
I have worked in the field of occupational therapy for many years, so I came into the course already familiar with executive functioning and many of the challenges learners face. What I was looking for was a deeper understanding of how to take that knowledge and apply it within an executive function coaching and study-skills framework. This course gave me exactly that.
Although occupational therapy and executive function coaching can overlap in many areas, they are not the same thing. One of the most valuable parts of this course for me was gaining a clearer understanding of the executive function coaching framework and how it differs from therapy. That gave me the confidence to move forward with opening my own private coaching practice with the right tools, a clear professional framework, and a strong awareness of staying within my scope.
What I appreciated most was how practical and usable the information was. Dr. Warren has a gift for taking complex concepts and turning them into strategies, tools, and ways of thinking that can actually be applied with students. I found myself constantly making connections between what I was learning and the students I have worked with over the years.
The course also helped me think differently about supporting learners. Rather than simply focusing on what a student is struggling with, it encouraged me to look more closely at how that individual learns and where the breakdown may be occurring, and then what tools might give them better access to learning. That perspective has had a real impact on the direction I want to take professionally.
I also appreciated the depth of the course. It did not feel like a certification where you simply complete a few modules and receive a certificate. I came away with new knowledge and practical resources I will continue returning to, and much more confidence in developing my skills in executive function coaching and study skills.
Dr. Warren’s enthusiasm for helping learners become more independent comes through throughout the entire program. For anyone who genuinely wants to understand executive functioning and learn practical ways to support students, I would highly recommend her courses. I am very grateful I found Learning Specialist Courses, and I know what I learned will continue to influence my work for years to come.

Diane, thank you so much for this beautiful and incredibly thoughtful review. It has been such a pleasure getting to know you through the course and our Zoom meetings and hearing your insightful questions, reflections, and ideas. Your many years of experience in occupational therapy, combined with your genuine commitment to helping learners, have brought so much depth to the groups.

It means a great deal to know that the course helped you clarify your executive function coaching framework and gave you practical tools and confidence as you move forward with your private practice. I’m especially touched that it encouraged you to think more deeply about how each individual learns and what tools can give them greater access to learning. That is at the heart of everything I hope to teach.

I’m truly grateful that our paths crossed, and I feel fortunate to have you as part of our community. I’m excited to see your practice grow and the meaningful difference you will make in the lives of the learners you support.

All the best,
Erica
