If you enjoy high-pressure sales tactics and being talked down to in your own home, LeafFilter might be a great fit.
The quote started at an inflated number clearly designed to be negotiated down, but the bigger issue was the attitude. Their operations manager, Tim, managed to turn a simple estimate into a mansplaining session—including explanations of how water flows downhill and how prices go up with the passage of time going so far as to say I'd 'be stupid to not sign up today'
I would have happily considered the product if the interaction had been respectful and transparent. Instead, it was condescending and frustrating from start to finish.

45 year-old bungalow
Had Leaf Filter installed on my bungalow. The estimator (Paul) was knowledgeable and friendly. The installer (Luke) was careful, took his time, and made sure I was completely informed about what he was doing and why. It was an expensive purchase but the customer service is first-rate.

Leaf Filter installation
Salesman Jim did a good job explaining things and did well negotiating an agreeable price for Leaf Filter install. Installer was here on time and did a good job based on pictures he provided us of his work. Only complaint is that gutter removal trash was not picked up and put in trash.
Aggressive and Spamming
Constant harassment with phone call after phone call up to four to five times a day. I asked for information only. I've asked to be removed from their caller list and they keep harassing me by a different phone number every single time.

Pure Harrassment
I was approached by them while shopping in a Canadian Tire store. I told the gentleman that I was going on vacation and did not want to be called until the 12th of January or later, when I am scheduled to return. He was quite persistent, trying to have them call me within 2 days. I kept politely refusing, explaining that I had to prepare for my vacation and had no time for someone to call and then come to quote. Just when I thought he got the message and was finally going away....miraculously he now had a 40% discount to offer me if I did a quote within 2 days. I still refused. Over the next 28 hours they called 7 times without leaving a message. There were also 3 other calls from an unknown number that I presume was them also. I never picked up and they did not leave a single voice message. By the 4th call I started blocking their numbers. Didn't matter, they kept calling from different numbers. Finally, I picked up and asked them to stop calling. That was last night, but it did not matter, they started calling again this morning. When I picked up this morning's call, I was not as polite and hopefully the calls will stop. After this experience I would not use their service even if they offered it for free. I will be contacting Canadian Tire as well to register a complaint. Somehow I don't think Canadian Tire will be happy to hear that this company is harassing their clients. The calls came from numbers bearing their name, from many different area codes. 289, 613, 888 etc. Businesses that act this way before even securing a deal are highly unlikely to provide satisfactory service. BUYER BEWARE!
**EDIT** Even their response is laughable. Now I am supposed to email them so they don't call me 7-10 times in one day??? No apology? This is a company I would NEVER do business with. What company needs to have at least 7 different phone numbers and to call me from each different number? What a dumb reply. Obviously they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

They responded instantly to set up an appt. Malcolm arrived exactly when he promised and provided an detailed presentation about the product and its benefits. Marco arrived the next day in the afternoon and stayed - in the pitch dark - until the job was expertly completed -- as discussed and as estimated.

very efficient. Materials look to be top grade. It works… my gutters are free despite lots of cedar debris on my roof. It is expensive however.
Estimator from Leaffilter came, but Operation Manager's lack of Professionlism cost them this project.
A door-to-door salesman from Leaffilter came to my door yesterday and gave a brief presentation on the Leaffilter product. Since I just had my roof re-shingled 2-weeks ago, this was very timely. It was arranged for an estimate to be done today at 11:00. I had also been informed that the estimate would be good for one year and there were a number of discounts available, including a military discount for which I was eligible.
Unfortunately, my dog severely injured herself and had been dropped of at the local Veterinarian at 10:00 am this morning for surgery to repair an extensive wound. When Anton from Leaffilter arrived shortly after 11, I told him about my dog, and he could see the blood on my back deck and was concerned about her well being. I told him I had to go to the Vet to pickup my dog at approximately noon and we arranged for him to come back at 3:30 to do the estimate, which he said would take about an hour and worked well for him as he had another estimate scheduled for 5:00 pm.
The estimate was a bit late and started at approximately 3:45 pm. The first question Anton had was to inquire about our dog. Anton was very professional and obviously well-informed about the product. I assisted him with measuring, and he pointed out potential problems with my current gutters. When he was done measuring and taking pictures, the sales presentation began, and Anton was highly informative and compared other products. When it came time to give the estimate, it was very pricey, but not a surprising figure as I had done research on the product yesterday.
After presenting the estimate I asked Anton if the discount had been applied, at which point he said no, it was only applied if I decided to move ahead today and not a later date. He did the calculations, and the discount would have reduced the cost by approximately $5,000.00.
However, due to circumstances that delayed the estimate, Anton said he would call his operations manager. He was on speaker phone and Anton asked if I could wait to speak to my wife and call him back by 9:00 pm, could the discount be applied? The operations manager interrupted Anton and abruptly asked if I was the guy that delayed him from his other appointment at 5:00 and if I was, then No, the discount would not apply later the estimate for 12-months would stand and would not be given to me.
Based on his tone of voice and complete lack of customer service and understanding, I told Anton that although I very much appreciated his professionalism and his depth of knowledge, I not be proceeding now, or in the future due to the Operations Manager complete lack of customer service and overall crappy attitude, which appeared to blame me for Anton having to come back to do the estimate.
I assured Anton that his performance had nothing to do with my decision, it was all based on the Operations Manager attitude. I also told Anton that he could call the Operations Manager and tell him that he lost the installation and if he wanted to call me directly he could. I seriously doubt he will based on his condescending attitude towards the customer. As a professional who works in an industry that values people, my professional recommendation is for the Operations Manager to take some customer service training, to include respectful workplace training.
It is too bad because I was extremely interested in getting this product...

Our first introduction to the company…
Our first introduction to the company was Geoff Mummery, Residential Account Manager. He sat with my husband and thoroughly explained how Leaf Filter works. He was very pleasant and extremely helpful in us deciding that we need this system due to all the trees that surround us. When it rains, we actually have waterfalls coming from our gutters due to all the pine needles.
On Monday Sept 29/25, the installer Levi McKay showed up to do the installation. He was very friendly and professional representing the company. He was very respectful of our property and home. He did find a bit of an issue with one gutter, and explained to us how he could fix it, he said not hard for him to do. When he was finished, he cleaned up and put away anything of ours he used like our hose etc. We highly recommend Leaf Filter to come and talk with homeowners. Both Levi and Geoff gave us wonderful service from start to finish! It carries a lifetime warranty and transferrable if home is sold. This was money well spent on this system.
