I have used law firms in the USA and in England for advice, the drafting of contracts and of course conveyancing. All experiences prior to my using LawHive were broadly similar and could be categorised as disappointing. My experience at LawHive was the opposite. My request was somewhat intricate and required quite a bit of thought. My initial request was triaged quickly, and I was assigned an excellent solicitor with precisely the expertise I needed. The pricing was clear and exceptional value. The drafting produced by my solicitor Paul was a masterpiece. (I never expected to write something like this about a legal document.) I am extremely happy with the service I received. I will of course be using LawHive again and I will be recommending them to my friends and relatives.

I investigated many law firms to deal with upcoming legal issue .
Luckily I was assigned Paulette Watson who as my solicitor has been phenomenal. She has been transparent throughout entire process , incredibly proactive on my case , is incredibly professional and learned , and has an informative approach to imparting her knowledge that is easy to understand to fundamentally make decision on course of action to take for best resolution .
Her customer service is second to none ,
I would not hesitate to recommend Paulette to anyone going through a divorce , 4 friends will be using her for the current legal issues as I have told them how she is always timely with emails and replying .

So pleased I found the perfect legal professional in Paulette and I am simply a client and have no financial or personal ties to Lawhive or Paulette

Lawhive are the solicitors at the bottom of our property sale chain of 3. They have caused all three parties to miss two different completion dates, claiming that the file is undergoing compliance checks. This has now been going on since 25 August 2026 (11 working days). How long does it take to check a file? These delays are causing significant additional costs for the parties above them in the chain.

I am very frustrated I have sent important information which has not been looked at regarding my case

Deeply unimpressed with the level of service received from Lawhive. I employed them to help with a Section 21 property repossession and whilst this was ultimately successful, they did not reduce the stress but added to it.

The driver of this was poor and slow communications, in some cases waiting weeks for a response when the SLA is three working days. Even now as I try to close my case, tumbleweed. The only time I got a reply on an acceptable timeframe was when I escalated for a response.

I really wanted to like the service; I liked the concept; but I will never use Lawhive again. I spent thousands and got shocking levels of service and flimsy excuses. Whilst I appreciate my experience could be isolated and down to a single individual, it has left a very poor taste. Approach with caution.

This firm acted for us on a probate sale and on the day we completed they informed us that they could not pay us the proceeds of sale as we did not have a probate account. They then withheld the entire proceeds for 28 days. Our solicitor (Rita Ampaw) was amazing and worked really hard to try to resolve the problem but the firm’s customer service is abysmal. We thought that the firm had probably collapsed and we would not get the money at all . Finally they paid the proceeds but offered us a very low interest payment and an insulting £250 compensation. We have complained to the Legal Ombudsman and reported them to the SRA.

Sitting outside property waiting for exchange - cannot even get in touch with anyone. Paying by the hour for movers. Call us now! Not within 48 hours! Ref Mann Island Liverpool

I found the advice and support I received through Lawhive to be excellent. The legal advice was clear, professional and extremely supportive, and I felt that my circumstances were properly understood.

Unfortunately, the payment options were not affordable or sustainable for me. As a result, despite being very happy with the advice and service I received, I had to close my file and look for a more affordable option.

I would therefore be very supportive of Lawhive in terms of the quality of legal advice provided, but I would encourage you to consider more flexible and affordable payment options for clients who cannot manage the current costs.

Overall, the advice was excellent; it was the payment structure that ultimately prevented me from continuing.

Alex Clarke was just amazing and very good value for money.
When he took over my case, I was told my the judge that giving my ex husband 50k would be a good deal for me. At the end I got 50k.
Alex was amazing. The case was complicated because it involved foreign assets and shared ownership with third parties.

I was kept informed of the progress of the case on a regular basis and given appropriate advice and information at times when things appeared complicated to me.

NEVER EVER USE THIS FIRM. I wish I could give them negative stars. They've dragged our simple conveyancing issue for over a year. They have no solicitors of their own and only use Freelancers who care not one bit about your case, will leave any second, leaving you hanging without any handover notes to the next solicitor. We've suffered thousands of pounds of losses because of them. For our sale, they took our money, did the work then 7 months later "reviewed" the file and said they couldn't represent us after all and that we should go find other solicitors...WHAT. Honestly, the worst service I have ever seen or received. I have made an official complaint and will be taking them to the Ombudsman.

Incompetent
​I strongly advise anyone considering Law Hive Legal to look elsewhere. What should have been a straightforward five-week Transfer of Equity has dragged on for over six months, causing an immense amount of stress and unacceptable delays for both myself and the other party involved.
​Their internal operation is a complete mess. They appear to have lost a massive number of staff, leaving them entirely non-responsive for long stretches. Shockingly, I repeatedly found myself having to guide them on the process using legal information I had to research myself via ChatGPT and Gemini. You should not have to project-manage your own legal team.
​They are simply not worth a single penny. Given the sheer incompetence and lack of basic communication I experienced, I genuinely question the sincerity of any five-star reviews for this firm. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs.
