Once we were in contact, we did agree with you on a return, and we worked to process this properly on our end. However, a chargeback was initiated with your bank in parallel. As we explained to you in detail over several email exchanges, once a bank dispute is opened, a merchant is required to wait for its resolution before issuing any refund directly — this is a standard financial safeguard, not a choice we make, and it exists precisely to protect both parties from a duplicate reimbursement. We did receive the returned item, and we did ask you, as clearly laid out in our correspondence, to have the chargeback formally closed on your end so that we could move forward with your refund without risking reimbursing you twice for the same order.
We understand that navigating bank procedures alongside a merchant can feel confusing, and we regret that this added an extra layer of frustration to your experience. That said, we remain entirely available, as we have consistently been throughout our exchanges, to finalise this the moment the chargeback is confirmed closed with your bank — our customer care team is at your disposal for any documentation you may need on our side.

At the time your review was posted, the parcel was still in transit, which meant we were unable to process a cancellation or refund until the carrier confirmed the final delivery status. This procedure is in place to protect both our customers and our company.

We can now confirm that the parcel has been successfully delivered, within an 8-day timeframe, as indicated by the tracking information.

Regarding the express shipping fee, you were absolutely right. The refund has now been processed today. The delay was caused by a technical issue in our system and was not intentional, and we sincerely apologize for this oversight.

Regarding the smell you mentioned, new items, especially those packaged for international transport, may occasionally have a temporary odor due to packaging. This typically dissipates quickly once the product is aired out.
