I completed the Level 5 Diploma course with LAT, finishing in November last year. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

One of the standout benefits was that LAT offered me a free prop firm challenge after completing the diploma, which I found extremely valuable. It’s a great opportunity for anyone looking to begin their funded trading journey and apply what they’ve learned in a practical environment.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in trading, provided you are willing to commit the time and effort required to succeed.

LAT allowed me to join a free webinar to understand about the company, what the course was going to be about and listen to how it the diploma was structured.

It was brilliant. Just about the free webinar taught me about the benefits of prop trading (I knew nothing about that) and how I can get a free challenge worth over £300 as long as I passed the course (I got a Merit)

LAT also allowed me to pause my course after week 8. This allowed me to re-visit for the next 4 weeks all the material, to give me more confidence and then finish the last 4 weeks to complete my diploma.

Even though I did the course remotely, it was possible to come into the office to for face to face when I was struggling and to help me finish the last sections before I handed it over. This really helped meeting both Elliot and Marc directly.

Id highly recommend the course. It’s a great way to gain a good understanding of what trading is and how it works. If you’re looking to get into trading seriously and want to put the time and effort into it then this is the course is the one. We were given funded accounts at the end of the course which is a great way to start the funded challenge journey!

I recently completed the Level 5 Diploma in Trading and can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Before starting, I had zero real experience. I’d watched YouTube videos over the years and tried to teach myself, but I always ended up stopping after a few days because it became overwhelming and unstructured.

Taking this course completely changed that.

The content is clear, structured, and actually teaches you how to trade properly step by step. There’s no way I could have learned this level of detail on my own — especially not from random online videos.

A big shoutout to Elliot, who was an excellent tutor throughout. The weekly calls were incredibly valuable, and he always took the time to answer my questions and give proper guidance when I needed it.

One of the biggest things for me was the accountability. Trading isn’t easy, and having that structure and support is what kept me consistent and progressing. I was working a full-time job alongside the course, and although it required effort, it was completely manageable over the three months.

During my 4-week trading assessment, I was able to generate over $4,000 profit on a demo account using a strategy I built with the support of Elliot and the tutors. More importantly, I learned how crucial proper risk management is — keeping risk controlled and consistent on every trade was a key part of that progress.

I’d highly recommend this course to anyone serious about learning how to trade the right way. It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme — it’s real education, real structure, and real support.

They teach quite well – clear, practical, and structured way, with good focus on the essentials. Being one of the older and established academies in the UK (since 2010, triple-accredited), it feels reliable and professional. Grateful for the solid foundation it gave me. Thanks to the team! 🤲🙏

I did the one month course with LAT and it was great to finally be among real traders. I have been interested in the subject for years reading so many trading books but never took it to the next level. That's why I joined LAT to help me take the leap. I will list the positives and negatives.

Positives

1) Great guys teaching us they give us analogies to help us understand the complex subjects in classroom and it reminds me of school where the teacher is trying really hard to help us understand the subject.

2) covers all basic principles of trading like support and resistance and even reading candlesticks and then on to more complex MacD indicators and chart patterns.

3) Good access to trainers. The main time you will spend at LAT is in the trading room which the trainers are also in so we could once and a while walk up to their desk with a question and ask them and they would happily give us the answers.

4) you have access to course material from home also so if you cannot make it into the class you can simply study remotely.

5) after the course is finished you can still rent a desk and spend the day on the trading floor with the guys. When I was there there were many former students who had traded successfully themselves who still came back to LAT to trade. This i guess showed the positive environment at LAT and how former students are still looked after.

- Bad points - these points are not to critisize the course or the guys at LAT as I did have a great time there. This is simply feedback for the them so maybe they can smooth off any rough edges to make the experience for the future students better.

1) Paddy who founded the course will not be teaching you the whole course. In fact we mainly got taught by the other trainers which is fine but I feel Paddy should make more of an effort to teach more classes as he teaches really well and the classmates like to know we were taught by the main guy especially with the fees we paid for the course. We all prayed to have Paddy on certain days.

2) once the classroom class is done we are pretty much left to our own and we trade using the strategies we were taught on demo accounts and then we just leave when as want to go home. I feel that the trainers should do an end of day debrief on every student everyday so that we can leave for home knowing the mistakes we made so we can learn from them.

3) iG is the platform we train on. It's an easy to use platform but it isn't the one recommended by trainers to use for our own personal trading due to fees etc. The trainers themselves don't use it for their own trades. The problem is we have become accustomed to iG so now it's hard to break away from it. There was a lot of popularity around TradingView as the platform to use so I feel we should have just been trained to use that platform from the start or which ever one they recommend using.

4) The main trading taught at LAT is 'Day trading'. Most of the the traders there are mostly day traders. They do teach about longer term trades but it's mostly day trading.

5) Options trading was not as in depth as i would of liked. I don't remember if futures was taught at all.

6) near the final week of the course we were pretty much left on our own to trade. We could approach the trainers if we wanted but we were pretty much just left to ourselves. I guess it's the right way about it as when we leave the course we would be by ourselves anyway. But it did feel like we were slightly neglected so the course would benefit from doing something more for students near the end of the course so we can at least leave on a high note as opposed to leaving in silence and obscurity. Some of the trainers did make the effort to take us out for a farewell drink down the pub though which was nice of them.

7) once the classroom was done most of the trainers would go about their own trading for the rest of the day. I feel a dedicated teacher who was with the students all day would be better.

8) During my training course the explosion of AI had just started. I feel it would have been a good opportunity to have the trainers use this as a teaching point to explain what was likely to move up/down and what to look out for which didn't really happen.

9) ideally read about basics of trading before joining the course as some of it can be hard to understand.

10) After leaving the course there isn't any follow up by LAT to see how we are each doing. LAT ideally should be catching up with us and inviting us back for a day to just check on our progress. Even just a coffee with the trainers would make us feel good. Instead we get emails by LAT selling us more courses at discount rates. This in my opinion is not a good thing for LAT to keep doing. It makes it seem like LAT only cares about money and just trying to upsell us more courses which is what a lot of other trading courses are accused of doing. I don't think you will find a single student who actually likes this.

I completed the Level 5 Diploma in Applied Financial Trading with London Academy of Trading and found the experience to be professional and well structured. The curriculum is clearly laid out, starting from core market concepts and progressing into more advanced topics such as technical analysis, risk management, and macroeconomic drivers. I found the tutors to be very engaging and knowledgeable throughout. Live sessions were particularly useful, as they allowed for questions and practical discussion around real market scenarios rather than purely theoretical examples. Overall, a very worthwhile enjoyable experience. I feel the course has provided me with a very good foundation of a valuable set of skills and knowledge to enable me to pursue my trading career.

The LAT 12-week diploma course has been absolutely transformative for my trading journey. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering everything from fundamental market analysis to advanced trading psychology and risk management.

The course teaches you how to develop and backtest your own strategies, manage risk effectively, and maintain discipline in live markets. The modules on position sizing and loss management are particularly valuable and often overlooked in other programs.

Since completing the course, I've successfully implemented my strategies and significantly improved my consistency. Highly recommend LAT to anyone serious about professional trading.

I joined the London Academy of Trading for the full-time course, and very quickly decided to enrol in their psychology programme as well — both were absolutely outstanding. I was coming to LAT every single day for almost three months, and it became one of the best periods of my life. The environment is incredibly positive, supportive, and inspiring. You genuinely feel that every tutor cares about your progress and wants you to succeed.

I had a good experience completing the Diploma Level 5 Course in Advanced Financial Trading taught by LAT in September 2020.

Extremely happy with the 1 week course introduction to financial markets and trading. This really gave me the confidence to continue on my trading path and actually helped me make my first virtual $1500 in the first week after the course. Super happy to continue on this path and hopefully start trading live accounts from January onwards. LAT has really given me the tools and confidence that with the right education, proper risk management and mindset trading can turn profitable and be fun.

I have just completed my Diploma in Applied Financial Trading and I have to say that LAT offer a fantastic product.
