Customs Duty Crazy Price

Laptop is great! However I had to wait over 3 weeks for delivery due to Brexit and ended up paying €125 for a customs charge. I had assumed when I ordered off Laptopsdirect.ie that it would be coming from Ireland but clearly not.

Misleading delivery dates and pricing…

Misleading delivery dates and pricing which change between adding items and checkout. Prices change daily as i was told by customer service.Next day delivery turned into a 2 week delivery date. A laptop i was looking at had risen in price 3 times in as many days. Customer service told it was a glitch in the system. I fail to believe a company that sells laptops can't even run their own website. When i brought these issues up with customer service online they didn't read my email correctly then ignored me after 2 pointless responces. The company is not Irish either to spite having a .ie address. I rang a dublin number and was given prices from customer service in pounds sterling. I will never purchase from these borderline scammers again.

"New" Hard drive arrived DOA, poor customer service

I ordered a Western Digital RED 1TB drive, renowned for reliability for 24x7 operation on NAS boxes.
It was dead on arrival.
Ended up returning it, but was only refunded the price of the drive, they didn't refund the shipping. They refused to respond for the rest of the money until I raised it more publicly via social media.
Won't go near them again and actively warn people against them on internet forums. Look at all the negative reviews it speaks volumes.

Do not deal with this company.

Ordered a PC monitor on the 26th of nov. Delivery date changed 4 times.

Delivery was meant to be today and i recieve an email saying order has been cancelled this morning and refund processed. Spoke to customer services who couldn't reverse my refund. Said to order again.. Price had changed and gone up by 50 euro since my original order.

Blame was put on DPD that they could not deliver the product. No contact from Laptop direct or DPD was made to myself.

If you are an irish customer stay well clear of this company.

Ordered computer monitor that was out of stock

I ordered a computer monitor at the start of December 2020 after cancelling a previous order from November. The delivery of the item was continuously delayed until January 2021, until I was finally notified that they were not sure when the item would be back in stock. I spoke with a customer service representative to order an alternative but all similar items were also out of stock and no clear answer was given when they would become available. On top of this, I bought the item during a sale period and was told that I would have to pay the difference in price for a replacement item, even though it may have been less than the current listed price of the original item.

Do not use this site if you actually need the item you are ordering, because they are more than happy to let the issue continue for months with no resolution.

Very Reliable Vendor with Good Support

I have made 4 purchases from LaptopsDirect.ie recently and have been very pleased with the products that I have bought from them, both in terms of quality and price. Daniel, a member of their customer support, helped me with a shipping matter today and resolved everything for me extremely swiftly and without any headaches.

Putthephonedown feeling like you've got somewhere

I was able to tell after speaking for 4 or 5 minutes with Emma that she had a genuine desire to resolve my issue and that I had not just reached someone who would make life easy for themself, this was because she listened to what I had to say and only asked 1 or 2 little questions on points she needed to clarify. She then allowed me to go over my situation again whilst she assessed what she needed to know showing me support by agreeing with a lot of confusing points that I brought to light, she then helped by explaining the points to which she knew the answer and left her desk several times to find answers from her Bosses for the ones where she was either unsure or just didn't know. She was also able to explain to me how their Carrier to Ireland was suffering major delays which was something I wasn't seeing in the emails about the same consignment, she then finally was able to confirm that her Boss told her how she could see that my original order was allocated to me but would be facing delivery delays only.

Firstly find it funny that they advertise a 5 star trust pilot review on their website. Secondly have banners all over site saying free delivery over 50 euro my order was 200 and was being charged delivery. Picked option for rapid delivery of under 3 days standard under 7. 7 days gone still no delivery.

Worst experience and customer service - non delivery.
One of the more incompetent and poor customer service I have experienced for some time.
Overpriced delivery costs and then don't deliver!
Confused and unhelpful 'customer service' - avoid this company,

Laptops Direct: Spurious Charging, No Refunds, Lousy Customer Service

Ordered a webcam, selected click&collect. When I'd paid I saw that Laptops Direct had charged £9.99 for next day delivery (why??), which would make the item dearer than other suppliers. Cancelled order within 30 seconds of payment and received email confirming cancellation. One day later find that they have taken the £29.99 anyway. Refund was promised within 3-5 working days. Six days later I've had no refund. Emails go unanswered, can't get through on the phone. I will NEVER use Laptops Direct again.

previously i gave a 5 star review, as all 4 dealings with them prior to this were excellent, i ordered a monitor, cctv, 2 alexa doorbells spent €830 was happy, delivery said to expect tues 1st dec went online says expect fri 4th rang today the lady was lovely and polite and told me sorry we dont have your monitor in stock hopefully be in next week, then it needs its 5 point check so delivery could be 2 weeks late. If this was the case the company should not of given me a delivery date and definitely should have told me the product was out of stock so i could have ordered 1 that was in stock. i will update this thread once items are recieved and in what condition and time they take to arrive

Where is our refund?

We recently bought a tower and screen from laptops direct the experience started off as great but with missing pixels from the screen and a tower that could not stay connected to the WiFi we decided to return under the 14 day returns policy. After returning it they denied the claim saying that it wasn't returned in time!! Well that wasn't the story and we have the courier documents that say otherwise. We want our money back. Do not buy off them not only will they send you shoddy products and that by the way do not come in product boxes but they will give you the run around for the money you are entitled to back. They also have a sister company buy it direct so keep away from them both

Worst website ever

Worst website ever. I've "got" a printer from them, it was saying on the website that the product was available, they debited on my account. Now more than 1 week later the order status is still saying awaiting stock, I've tried sending they a lot of emails, none of them were answered, now calling them and waiting 15 minutes do be picked up, the customer service was terrible, worst than ever, now I canceled my order and I am not sure how long will take to get my money back if I will get my money back. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Don't buy from them, you would be wasting your time and money. When it is good I say, when it is bad we have to say it either.
