Charged me almost £800 to carry out a CCTV in a garden of a semi detached. Although three workers attended only one appeared to be doing anything. The other sat on my sun lounger, chatting and vaping, rather than ask me to move the furniture out of the way. I have a camera overlooking the garden so this caught. There were two drain points they needed to check which was explained when they arrived and I also supplied them with drain maps I’ve acquired personally to ensure they knew what they were looking at. They didn’t camera check the private drain and only ran a camera through the UU drain. I’ve since found out that they had no authority to check a UU drain and should have informed and referred me directly to UU. When the Lanes report came through I did query why the private one wasn’t checked and the manager in his response didn’t address the query at all, he just talked about other things that I hadn’t queried at that moment. The girls in the office are efficient and they are quick to get the quotes to you for attending. There wasn’t an initial free call out to assess what needed to be done and then priced up. They also took full payment before attending. I did expect to maybe pay half to secure the booking and half once complete but no, it’s full payment upfront.
I wouldn’t ever recommend these guys and I have no doubt that there is absolutely no point in trying to get even partial refund off them. They aren’t interested.

Top marks for Lanes For Drains - Rob carefully removed solid drain cover without any damage, no simple task as it had not been opened for decades! cleared limescale blockage and then used camera to check other valleys/gully's. Very impressed and pleased with his standard of work and customer service. A credit to the business. Thank you very much :)))

Came out on home emergency call, jetted main gully and said it was clear desipte clearly sewage still visable in 2 gullys. Jetted them and it semed clear but no futher checks done. Asked if they would check clear with a camea. but said no thats extra. Turns out they wernt clear and backed up in 48 hours. Called Home emergency again to get a recall call out BUT as they left a note saying customer wanted CCTV the insurance wont send them out again and say we have to pay for CCTV!!!

Will be using a rival to clear and check with camera and claming for all cost via small clames court if there is no issues.

Made a home emergency claim on my admiral house insurance for a blocked drain. Engineer came out within two hours and worked very hard for over an hour to remove a stubborn blockage. The engineer was Jordan from the Borough Green office. Excellent service & great result!

Jay, was absolutely brilliant. What super customer service. Talked us through the whole process of the offending blocked drain, showed us the images and was just so pleasant. Got the job done with minimal fuss and we could not have asked for more tbh. Happy customers.

An engineer was sent to my home to solve a blocked drain. While attempting to solve the blockage, the whole floor was flooded with soiled water. The engineer tried to clean everything, but this cause a serious level of damage. The company only offered £355.46. I sent a great number of detailed pictures and invoices, showing that the damage was well beyond that figure. In sum, be extremely careful if they step in your home.

The Aberdeen Lanes group did a tremendous job!
I had them out to blocked drains firstly on a Friday and John the lad that drove the van with the jetting hose worked with myself until 8.30pm to get the problem fixed.
I then had another team out on the following Tuesday to find and clear another blocked pipe.
The tanker and jetting van with camera turned up exactly on time and the lads soon figured out what the problem was.
Conner and his team did everything they could to get things sorted.
Conner explained what he thought the problem was and he was spot on with it. He certainly knows his stuff and is very professional and a credit to Lanes.
The whole team worked together tremendously to fix the problem.
All very polite,cheerful and happy to answer any questions I had. The whole time that I had them on site they where always busy or offering advice and help.
Also a huge thank you to Mark who was off on annual leave but still took the time to answer my calls and messages and got everyone sorted out for me. Not many people would do that when the are off.
I have used Lanes for a good few years now and Mark always makes things very easy and uncomplicated.
Lanes always take into consideration that Drumtochty is a wedding venue and the go out of there way to work around guests coming and going. They never leave any mess and are always have to help.
Lanes you have a tremendous team in Aberdeen. They all certainly make my job easier.

2 engineers arrived from Lanes group yesterday to conduct a survey/analysis of my exterior drain at the rear of my property. Price quoted (including report) was £150 which was required to be paid at time of booking. Men arrived had a look round for 4 minutes then left for a short period before returning with camera equipment for a further 15 minutes. Total time in the property 19 minutes, Total time from arrival to departure 33 minutes. Shocked therefore to receive a phone call this morning from the office administrator requesting a further payment for the additional time the job took (over 1 hour). Conversation changed once I explained that I had full CCTV of the activities with timestamps. Evidence was duly presented by myself and although an apology was requested the responding feeble email showed no sign of any apology or remorse.

Called out by my house insurance because of a blocked drain. They arrived quickly and were extremely helpful and professional. Highly recommended

Would recommend the Aberdeen Lanes Group for any kind of underground water repairs. After experiencing a major water ingress into my house the Lanes Group Aberdeen were able to pin point an area that the water was coming into the house and a plan was put in place to help divert the water ingress. The two guys that came and carried out work at my property were hard working, polite and explained exactly what work they would be doing and stuck to the time plan. The work area left tidy and wouldn't have known that a digger had been there. Appreciated their friendly but professional approach to the job by the onsite workmen. Thank you

Contracted by my insurer , lovely lovely man (pontypridd depot) just really nice to have someone jovial, amicable and happy(he was quite taken with my iguana lol) dealt with issue quickly and was cool about mess as I am disabled ,just a very pleasant experience , and now my washing machine is draining down pipe and not back the wrong end flooding my rooms , he even dumped out big tub of water I drained machine in so not having washing sat soaking for 2 days

Today the Chester team really helped us out with a big problem that would have held up production at Alstom Widnes .Our wash booth was in desperate need of a de-sludge and our IBC tanks were full .A massive thanks to Sian and the the OPS team for helping us out especially Shaun one of the Operations Managers who kindly put his name forward due to staff shortage down to sickness. He did a fantastic job along with John better known as Spanner. Really great guys.

2 guys came out and cleared a huge blockage Sunday 18th February in Waterlooville (Guinness housing) which had flooded my bathroom and part of the hallway. They were brilliant, and really nice and friendly. I'll be forever grateful to them for helping me. The older one really calmed my shattered nerves for a while on Saturday night. Thankyou. A young man from your company came to look at our drains today in SW18 . He came in response to a Thames water call out . I just wanted to say what a brilliant job he did . He was pleasant and informative. He told myself and the neighbours what he was doing and why and after over an hours work managed to clear the drain . A big thank you to him . So sorry I didn’t get his name but his van was PO64ZTH reg . I took a photo as he was leaving as I’d definitely use you again .

Lanes dranage came out following a jomecemergency call, was kept informed from call to job completion. Mark the engineer was really help full and solved the problem with ease. The Lanes Team turned up to a commercial job for us but on arrival a near by premises had experienced a flood. Lanes promptly went into action to help and quickly located the issue and cleared the offending blockage! Absolutely no need for them to respond as this issue wasn't what they were there to do but they responded all the same. The building owner was so appreciative of the "can do" attitude to solving a big problem for this commercial business premises.

We have used Lanes for years and will do for years to come. Great company. Well done and thank you.
