We are experienced festival goers to events large and small all over the UK, and, in our opinion, Lakefest is up there with the very best we've experienced - excellent value for money and certainly punches above it's weight for everything from the artists to the facilities for the bargain prices they charge. Lakefest typically DON'T charge for parking, booking fees, and the like - making the weekend ever better value. We've been to virtually every Lakefest since it started, and had a wonderful time at each. Just read some of the independent reviews in the music media for unbiased opinions on this great family event.

Absolutely splendid festival - we've had a gas there every year for over a decade. Consistently rated one of the best festivals for it's size in the UK by experienced festival review companies. Remarkably manages to improve year-on-year because they listen to attendee feedback, and enact continuous improvement in everything they do to deliver a wonderous thing. Get yer'self down there - you'll love it :)

Just LOVE Lakefest, have been going with my family and friends for the last 10 years and is always the highlight of the summer - come rain or shine! Fab music and plenty to do for everyone with plenty of great food options and free activities for the kids. Staff and volunteers help make this a safe and fun festival. Definitely recommend! :)

Been going to Lakefest since 2018 and every year has just been the best time. The event has constantly grown each year but still maintains its friendly happy atmosphere (I have never seen any trouble) and ticket prices have stayed at a really reasonable price, excellent value for money. There is a cross section of all ages including lots of families all enjoying so many different bands , venues and experiences. The big sell for us is being able to book a pitch and take your car and park on pitch, you get to an age where lugging a load of camping stuff, food etc is not going to happen.
Totally recommend this festival, congrats to all of the LF team, keep up the great work and count down is on for this August!

Been coming here for years with a group of friends and Lakefest never fails to deliver!! Great vibe, plenty of amazing acts, loads of bars, fab set up for camping pitches, all in beautiful surroundings. Even though it’s gained in popularity over the years and is now a larger festival, it still has that great family festival feel that it’s always had.

Lakefest is my absolute favourite festival. Been going for about 5 years now and it still retains a lovely safe family feel. We are a group of girl - friends who meet up and we always feel safe. The field we camp in is a short walk from the main stage but it’s still nice and quiet. I always notice how clean the site is kept too. Getting to our pitch is always really easy and well marked out.
The bands who play Lakefest are a good range of styles and tastes for all ages. And there’s loads of other entertainment too. Food stalls are brilliant, great variety and positioned close to the stages for easy access.
Can’t wait to be there again this August!

The festival has a lovely friendly atmosphere, and the variety of music is great. The camping is fab, not too far to walk but far enough to feel chilled when out of the area. Feel completely safe and looked after. So look forward to this event every year!

Repeat visitor since 2016. One of the highlights of the festival season in a friendly environment with some great acts, especially those on the supporting stages - some great discoveries to be made every year. No hesitation in recommending to anyone thinking of dipping their toes into the UK festival scene.

This festival is an absolute gem. Every year it delivers an incredible experience, and I still can’t quite believe it all happens just a short drive from home. The line‑up has consistently been brilliant, with a great mix of artists that keeps everyone entertained, from kids to grandparents.
One of the standout features is how family friendly the whole event feels. The fairground adds a huge amount of fun and energy, and there’s always something to keep the little ones smiling. The variety of food outlets is excellent too, plenty of choice, good quality, and something to suit every taste. The festival 'theme' each year adds a little extra magic, and it’s wonderful to see how much everyone gets into it. People really go 'all out' with their costumes.
Safety is clearly a priority, and it really shows. Whether you are wandering between stages, relaxing in the campsite, or queuing for food, the atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and secure. The facilities are also good, the dreaded toilets are always clean, and I’ve never once had an issue with the shower blocks or camping areas.
What truly sets this festival apart, though, is the people. Everyone, from fellow festival goers to the volunteers, is friendly, cheerful, and full of that special festival spirit that makes the whole event so memorable. The volunteers & staff are always helpful and bring such a positive vibe.
All in all, it’s a fantastic, feel‑good event that I look forward to year after year. Perfect for families, brilliantly organised, and bursting with good vibes. Can’t wait for the next one!

Visited Lakefest with my family for the first time during 2025, my only regret now is we didn't go earlier! Such a great family fun festival with an incredible vibe, highly recommend!

Lakefest has become one of those events I look forward to every year. With 2026’s lineup already looking awesome, this year will be my fifth in a row. Somehow the organisers manage to create the perfect atmosphere, drawing in a diverse range of attendees — from groups of friends and families to solo travellers.

With consistently big‑name headliners, the main stage energy is always fantastic without ever feeling overcrowded. A big positive for me is being able to go to a festival where you don’t feel like you’re being rinsed every time you want to buy a beer or food, and there are plenty of quality options to choose from.

I definitely recommend exploring some of Lakefest’s smaller tents. The Cocktail Tent in particular has given me some of my best festival memories, with great live music, great people, and that cosy, tucked‑away vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special.

Counting down the days until Lakefest 2026!!

Myself and my family have been going to Lakefest for many years, from when my children were toddlers to now when they are in their teens and early twenties there has always been so much for them to do from circus skills, watching bmx bikers do amazing stunts and a variety of fairground rides to camping / hanging out with their friends in a safe environment and of course watching some fantastic acts across all stages. For myself and my husband it’s an amazing weekend away with our friends and family soaking up the atmosphere having a few too many drinks while watching our favourite bands from past to present.

It’s such a lovely, well run festival and I would 100% recommend going to anyone who is looking for a fantastic long weekend away

Great atmosphere, great bands. Family fun and so relaxed! Came home feeling like we’d had a proper holiday. Staff friendly and helpful. Pitches good and music was awesome!! Totally recommend this for a family that love music, chilling and fun!!

Lakefest has been part of our summer for 6 years now, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. Big family group, it’s always a weekend we look forward to — great music, great vibes, and memories made every single time.

Our kids have grown up at Lakefest and now, as teenagers, they still love it so much they’re bringing their friends along too. There’s loads to keep everyone entertained, whatever your age, and the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere makes it easy for everyone to feel at home.

The staff are absolute stars — from the gate crew to the bar teams, everyone is friendly, welcoming, and always up for a chat. Each year the festival feels even better organised, which just adds to how easy and enjoyable the whole weekend is.

We’ve also done VIP, and it really does add that extra special touch to the experience. The music lineup never disappoints — a brilliant mix of bands and DJs that keeps everyone happy !!😊

The food area is a festival highlight in itself, with a fantastic range of options. We love seeing our favourite stalls return each year, alongside new ones!

If you’re looking for a festival that feels safe, welcoming, and full of fun for all ages, Lakefest really does tick every box. Can’t recommend it enough

Last year was my first lakefest experience and wow what an experience
It was I’m going back again this year had the most amazing weekend and would highly recommend it anyone! My friends have been going since it started and I’m gutted I’ve never been before!
