This has been a terrible experience

This has been a terrible experience. I would not recommend this store to anyone. My package, ordered on April 5th, still hasn’t been delivered. The store completely ignores customer inquiries and doesn’t respond at all. This level of service is unacceptable — it feels like they simply don’t care about their customers. Avoid this place.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. I ordered a French Press from them on 8th Feb, and I still haven't received it. Every time I try to reach out to them, they are completely unresponsive. Feels like a scam site

Absolute Disaster

Absolute Disaster. Waiting for my order for two months now. They send one item, then did not send the next items for another 4 weeks, all was marked as immediately available. Now still waiting for the last item. Promised on the phone and via email multiple times that they send the tracking link. But are not sending it.

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service, almost shocking relly. Made a big order with them (including espresso machine), but they forgot 3 items. Then weeks passed without them sending the missing items. Finally they arrived. But there were just 2.. again, one they forgot to add. Now again back on calls.. we will reach 2 months from the order before I get my items. Don't buy from them, they are a pure disaster.

Extremely bad service

Extremely bad service.
Not reacting on Emails.
Promising help, but are not actually doing something.
I am running after my Varia VS4 allready since weeks. Having numerous phonecalls with them and emails, but the result is zero. I am still waitig for my grinder.
If you consider buying from La Barista: think twice!

Great offerings, great customer support

I've placed a bigger order with espresso machine, grinder and some accessories. The team was super helpful and responsive and made a good offer. I had the case of a transport issue with my shipment caused by DHL. In this case the team proofed to take customer support very seriously and gave tremendous support in sending a replacement quickly. My experience with La Barista is just 100 percent positive.

Quality Issues and Unfulfilled Promises

I purchased a Varia VS3. Unfortunately, I noticed a scratch on the housing already when unboxing it. This was compensated with €20.

Sadly, after just a few days, the magnet of the dosing cup came loose. I was assured that I would receive a replacement as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, I have now been waiting for almost a quarter of a year for this cup. I am repeatedly given new delivery dates, but they are never met, and I only receive updates when I actively ask for them. Very disappointing.

Purchased from La Barista - Mahlkönig X64 SD

My frustrating experience with the Mahlkönig X64 SD — purchased from La Barista

I purchased the Mahlkönig X64 SD from La Barista with high expectations. It’s a premium grinder from a reputable brand, and I expected performance to match. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different — a series of issues and disappointments.

1. Underwhelming performance + useless instructions

Right from the start, the results were far below what you’d expect from a grinder in this price range. Grind consistency was poor, directly affecting espresso quality — even with top-quality beans and careful dialing in.

To make it worse, the user manual includes no explanation at all about how to calibrate or fine-tune the grinder. A technical product like this should come with proper documentation.

2. Incompetent and misinformed technical support

After receiving the grinder and facing issues, I contacted La Barista for assistance. Unfortunately, their support was vague, incorrect, and completely unhelpful. It was clear they didn’t understand the grinder or how it works.

To help them understand, I even sent detailed photos showing exactly what I was dealing with. Later, when a third-party YouTube video explained the calibration process properly, I shared that with them too — hoping they’d finally grasp the issue. They didn’t.

3. Refund request — completely ignored

Given the poor performance and lack of proper support, I requested a refund on July 13. Since then, I’ve gone through endless calls, emails, and follow-ups — all without resolution.

Whenever I do get someone on the phone, they simply say “we’ll handle it in the afternoon”… but nothing ever happens.

4. No accountability whatsoever

What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of responsibility from La Barista. They sold a high-end product without knowing how to support it, and now refuse to take ownership of the issue or honour a legitimate refund request.

To make matters worse, they’ve now disappeared from Instagram, removing yet another way for customers to reach out or share feedback publicly. Even my honest review was deleted — instead of being addressed.



The manufacturer is now reviewing the situation and contacting La Barista directly. I appreciate their willingness to help — but it’s unfortunate that it had to reach this point.



Conclusion:

La Barista claims to sell high-quality equipment, but my experience has shown otherwise. They lack the technical knowledge, transparency, and professionalism expected from a serious retailer.

If you’re considering buying from La Barista — think twice.

What should’ve been a safe and exciting investment became a deeply frustrating experience.
