Wrong Diagnosis by Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital..Poor Service By the Billing Dept

Their rheumatologist specialist practically ignored my right knee injury for about 3 weeks. Luckily when I was about to cancel their services, they referred me to Novena Med Ctr where I had my knee scanned. It was not arthritis as first diagnosed, it was a right knee meniscal tear (confirmed by Ortho dept). Also, their cousin hospital at Woodlands Health Campus WHC) would charge you even if you could not view an upcoming appointment in the Healthhub app and missed it. You are then charged about SG$45.00 for each missed appointment you did not cancel - up to 2 missed appointments. kTPH.com.sg and WHC are both under New Healthcare Group. The billing department of KTPH.com.sg also indirectly told me they don't care for small payments between $5 to $25 per bill as they view it as "too small". It looks like they do not appreciate partial payments of bigger bills. This is surprising considering that smaller payments are the only way for low income or high-expenditure people to settle any medical debts. In future *touch wood* , I would skip this hospital in favour of others like Ng Teng Fong or SGH, even as I appreciate the free shuttle service to Yishun Bus Interchange and the services of the nurses.
